Abstract

This research aims to analyze the school principal's leadership in developing students' life skills through the implementation of the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5), integrated with the eight dimensions of the graduate profile at SMP Negeri Anotaurei Serui, Papua. These eight dimensions include Faith and Piety, Citizenship, Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Independence, Health, and Communication, in accordance with the Permendikdasmen Regulation Number 10 of 2025. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were gathered through participant observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, school committee, and students, as well as documentation studies. Data analysis followed the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, involving data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the principal successfully functioned as a driving force through a participative and innovative leadership style by contextualizing P5 themes based on Papuan local wisdom, such as catfish aquaculture and medicinal gardens. The scaffolding leadership strategy proved effective in fostering the independence of both teachers and students despite limited digital infrastructure and extreme weather challenges in the 3T (Frontier, Outermost, and Disadvantaged) region. The study concludes that the principal's role modeling, two-way communication, and transparent accountability are the primary keys to realizing students' resilient life skills (personal, social, and vocational) towards the Golden Generation 2045 vision. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan kecakapan hidup siswa melalui implementasi Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) yang terintegrasi dengan delapan dimensi profil lulusan di SMP Negeri Anotaurei Serui, Papua. Delapan dimensi tersebut meliputi Keimanan dan Ketakwaan, Kewargaan, Penalaran Kritis, Kreativitas, Kolaborasi, Kemandirian, Kesehatan, serta Komunikasi sesuai dengan regulasi Permendikdasmen Nomor 10 Tahun 2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan kepala sekolah, guru, komite, dan siswa, serta studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data mengikuti model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña yang meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah berhasil menjalankan peran sebagai penggerak melalui gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif dan inovatif dengan mengontekstualisasikan tema P5 berbasis kearifan lokal Papua, seperti budidaya lele dan apotek hidup. Strategi scaffolding leadership terbukti efektif menumbuhkan kemandirian guru dan siswa di tengah keterbatasan infrastruktur digital dan tantangan cuaca ekstrem di wilayah 3T. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa keteladanan, komunikasi dua arah, dan akuntabilitas transparan pimpinan merupakan kunci utama dalam mewujudkan kecakapan hidup (personal, sosial, dan vokasional) siswa yang tangguh menuju visi Generasi Emas 2045.
