Abstract

The national program for Early Cancer Prevention Movement for Indonesian Women 2015-2019 is being carried out throughout Indonesia. The Indonesian Cancer Foundation (YKI) is a non-profit organization that is working socially and humanitarian in health concern, especially in cancer prevention. YKI has several informative media to help increase the knowledge and awareness of the importance of preventing cancer, one of which is a brochure that contains information about a healthy lifestyle preventing cancer with "CERDIK" ways. It also contains ways to detect cancer early. The target in this community service is Fertile Age Women living in RT 01 to RT 18 Penyengat Olak Village. The purpose of this activity is to increase the women knowledge of childbearing age and awareness of independent cancer early detection. This activity is being carried out by forming a small group of women of childbearing age, giving brochures to fertile-age women groups, and followed by a socialization with question and answer section. This activity is integrated with community service activities for IVA examination. Evaluation of activities shows that there is an increase in knowledge and awareness of independent cancer early detection.

Abstract

Anemia is the impact of nutritional problems on young women which affect the decrease in concentration and learning achievement. The prevalence of anemia among adolescents in Indonesia is 32%, meaning that 3-4 out of 10 adolescents suffer from anemia. This is influenced by habits and nutritional intake that is not optimal and lack of physical activity. It is necessary to prevent anemia considering the long-term impact of young women is the nation's next generation which will determine the next generation. Dates contain iron which plays a very important role in the formation of red blood cells, the iron content in 100 grams of dates is around 280 calories and various nutrients, one of which is 1 mg of iron. This community service aims to increase youth knowledge about anemia, prevention of anemia, the content and benefits of dates. This community service method is lecture and discussion. The media used for counseling are leaflets, PPT. to measure knowledge (pre-test and post-test) with a questionnaire. held at the Baiturrahim Health Vocational School, Jambi City, in January 2022, attended by 35 participants. The result of this community service is an increase in students' knowledge about anemia, prevention, content and benefits of dates. It is hoped that young women can apply clean and healthy living behaviors as an effort to prevent anemia

Abstract

Everyday, an estimated 300 million women and girls menstruate. The main problem for adolescents during menstruation is the lack of knowledge about menstrual hygiene management (MHM). During menstruation, women should really be able to keep the reproductive organs extra clean, especially the vaginal part, because if they are not kept clean, it will cause excess microorganisms and can interfere with reproductive function. The purpose of this community service is to identify the knowledge and understanding of students about menstrual hygiene management. This activity was attended by as many as 150 students. The method used in this community service through several stages, including compiling an activity plan, coordinating and advocating with the school, the second stage, namely implementation by providing material on online menstrual hygiene management with ZOOM teleconferencing media, evaluating activities through Google Form. This community service was carried out at SMA IT Nurul Ilmi. The need for comprehensive reproductive health assistance and education related to menstrual hygiene management for young girls

Abstract

Based on information from the village midwife who is the secretary of Pokja IV PKK in Penyengat Olak Village, the problem of the pregnant women class does not work, there is no assistance for PKK cadres in the pregnant women class, and the knowledge of PKK cadres about the danger signs of pregnancy is still low, exclusive breastfeeding is still low, weighing Routinely still low, the provision of PMT does not exist, PHBS, knowledge about COVID 19, how to wash hands seven steps, Health Fund does not yet exist. / husband about health maintenance and recognizing the danger signs of pregnancy and pregnancy detection. Starting with a needs assessment carried out by a survey using a google form, then activities were carried out using the question and answer method, lectures, brainstorming, and the practice of pregnant exercise using pocketbooks and audiovisual media. By providing knowledge and increasing awareness and motivation of cadres to assist pregnant women, activities for pregnant women can be carried out during a pandemic by implementing health protocols.

Abstract

Menstruation is a process of shedding the inner lining of the uterine wall that occurs periodically in women of childbearing age. During menstruation, most young women experience discomfort such as stomach cramps caused by uterine muscle contractions due to an increase in the hormone prostaglandin, pain during menstruation/dysmenorrhea can cause anxiety and disruption of activities. Pain can be treated with pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies, one of which is acupressure on acupuncture points to relieve pain. This community service aims to provide knowledge and ways to overcome pain during menstruation with acupressure at the SP6 (Sayinjiao), Li4 (Hequ) and ST36 (Zusanli) acupuncture points. The method used is a question and answer lecture and showing the location of acupuncture points and practicing acupressure. Before being given education, the students' level of knowledge about menstruation and how to deal with menstrual disorders was first assessed, then the pain scale during menstruation was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). The second stage is the delivery of material about menstruation and menstrual disorders (dysminorrhea) and acupressure to treat dysmenorrhea. As well as practicing acupressure, the third stage is a posttest to measure the students' knowledge after being given education and practicing acupressure. This community service will be carried out at SMAIT AL-Azhar Jambi City. with 75 respondents. The results of community service activities showed an increase in knowledge before being given education, an average of 37 people (49.3%) in the sufficient category (score 60-75), and after being given education, there was an increase in knowledge on average ≥ 76 or good knowledge of 45 people. (60%), female students can also practice acupressure to reduce pain during menstruation. This acupressure can be done independently, easily, anytime, anywhere without any side effects or costs

Abstract

Stunting instances persist in Suka Maju village, and there is a lack of a health disclosure program emphasizing the significance of 1000 HPK nutrition to avoid stunting. Additionally, there is a lack of projects to empower skilled young cadres. Teenagers have a crucial role in preventing stunting by being potential parents and catalysts for change, possessing extensive information about nutrition, and adopting healthy eating habits in their teenage years. This project aims to augment the involvement of young leaders and young individuals in understanding the significance of the initial 1000 days of life, with the aim of mitigating stunting in the hamlet of Suka Maju Kec. Mestong Kab. Muaro Jambi by the year 2023. The activity commenced with a survey of the location and an assessment of the needs of the partner areas, specifically the two villages and the surrounding regions. This was followed by the training of a group of six teenagers and 20 young adults. During the training, participants learned about the importance of using anthropometric methods to measure nutritional status, how to categorize nutritional status, how to properly use anthropometric tools, better health promotion strategies for teens about balanced nutrition, how to keep teens from having nutritional problems, and the role of teen leaders in stopping stunting. The training utilized effective instructional methods and empowered the cadres to plan and execute health promotion initiatives focused on preventing stunting and improving nutrition

Abstract

Promoting premarital reproductive health is one way to help teens and prospective brides become better informed and capable of preparing for a safe pregnancy, which will help lower the number of stunts. The significance of pre-conception nutrition and the necessity for nutrition education and health promotion to enhance understanding and promote good habits in preparation for pregnancy. The objective of this project is to strengthen the involvement of young individuals in the community of Suka Maju Kec. Mestong Kab. Muaro Jambi in 2024, specifically in terms of preparation for a safe pregnancy and marriage. The activity commenced with a comprehensive assessment of the site and an analysis of the requirements of the partner regions, specifically two rural communities and a local facility. This was followed by a training session for 20 young females, which encompassed the significance of measuring nutritional status through anthropometric means, the proper classification of nutrient levels, the accurate utilisation of anthropometric tools, enhanced health promotion strategies for adolescents regarding balanced nutrition, preventative measures against nutritional issues in adolescents, and the role of adolescent leaders in mitigating stunting.
