Abstract

The objective of this research is to get Index of species diversity and habitat habitat characteristic in Garunggang Cave in July 2017.  The method used is the method of moving observation and time search. A total of 302 individuals consisting of 5 groups of taxa found in Cave of Garunggang (entrance 3). Species diversity in Cave of Garunggang in relatively medium condition (1 <H '<3) with value of diversity index (H') 1,9 based on variable of diversity type using Shannon-Wiener index. Based on its dominance there are 6 faunas that dominate, namely Hipposideros galeritus, Karstarma jacobsoni, Rhaphidophora Sp, Stygophrynus dammermani, Long leg spiders, and Small spiders. The fauna inside the Cave of Garunggang has a unique habitat such as on the floor, walls and roof of the cave. Cave Garunggang is a horizontal cave with a cave mouth circumference of about 3.7 meters and aisle length about 209 meters. This cave is karst cave (limestone). The diameter of the alley of the cave varies with underground rivers with stone and soil substrate and clear watery. The hallway inside the cave is branched off with several ornaments. In the rainy season the aisles become full of water and become a large underground river, evidenced by the presence of litter on the walls and roof of the cave that was carried by the water during the rainy season. The habitat characteristic of the exokarst Cave of Garunggang is known that the Cave of Garunggang has four zones within it, ie bright zone (cave mouth), transition zone, dark zone and total dark zone. At the bright zone (cave mouth) the temperature ranges from 31.8 ° C - 29.9 ° C, the humidity (Rh) ranges from 67.7% - 76.2% and the light intensity ranges from 475.3 - 848 Lux. At the temperature transition zone ranging from 30.4 ° C - 32.2 ° C, the humidity (Rh) ranges from 72.8% - 77.7%, the light intensity shows 0 Lux and the pH indicator shows the number 7 (normal water). In the dark zone the temperature ranges from 31.4 ° C - 30.4 ° C, the humidity (Rh) ranges from 77.1% - 79.1%, the light intensity shows 0 Lux and the pH indicator shows the number 6 (normal water). The final zone is a total dark zone with temperatures ranging from 30.1 ° C - 30.8 ° C, the humidity (Rh) ranges from 79.7% - 79.2%, the light intensity shows 0 Lux, and the pH indicator shows the number 6 (normal water).

Abstract

Forests are one of the great natural resources of its role in various aspects of life both economic aspects, social, development and forest environment and its ecosystem as the basis of national development capital with the diversity of flora and fauna that can provide benefits for human life. One effort to support the balance of natural ecosystems and economic needs is the formation of community forests, aimed at increasing the income and welfare of the people. This can be seen from the existence of traditional folk forests in the effort of the community itself without the intervention of the government (pure self-help), either in the form of one species plant (pure forest), or with the pattern of agroforestry. The purpose of knowing about the potential and condition of community forest, and the amount of revenue contribution from the result of community forest management is compared with Minimum Regional Wage (UMR) Bogor Regency. Methods in this study using survey approach and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by using systematic sampling with random start with 20% sampling intensity. The result of research on the potential of community forest stands is 1.213,586 m3, derived from Sengon, Jabon, Acacia, Mahogany and Jati. The contribution of peasant forest income is on average 29,88% compared to UMR value of Bogor Regency.

Abstract

Forest management by the people independently has been promoted by the government since the 1980s. As a result, people are now starting to understand the importance of forest management on privately owned land. The function of private forests, apart from increasing people's income, is also for soil and water conservation. The impact of the function of soil and water conservation is widely felt by the community, not only by land owners. The community's sustainable forest management model is managed by combining timber plants with agricultural crops, to obtain benefits more quickly. This method is better known as agroforestry. Agroforestry management develops by combining three commodities, namely timber, agricultural crops and livestock crops, which is called agrosilvopastura. The management of agrosilvopastura is still not widely known by the community, therefore in this stud, we want to know the level of public understanding or perception of the community about the management of agorsilvopastura. The research was conducted in Karyasari Village, Leuwiliang District, Bogor Regency. It was carried out in Leuwiliang District because the potential for community forest is quite large for the Bogor Regency area. Methods of data collection by distributing closed questionnaires and processing with a Likert scale. The results of this study indicate that the people of Karyasari Village have a good perception of 4.328 on the Likert scale. This shows that the people of Karyasari Village have a good understanding of the implementation of agrosilvopastura. Agrosilvopastura activities in Karyasari Village have been well integrated so that they can provide a high contribution to community income, namely 53% from the forestry sector, 24.8% from the agricultural sector and 9.1% from the livestock sector.

Abstract

The increase of people population is the main factor in the growth of an urban area. Population growth will be followed by increasing ecological, economic and social needs. Urban development tends to cause a decrease in the quantity and quality of Green Open Space. The Gelora Bung Karno Urban Forest, which is part of the Green Open Space in Jakarta, is a place visited by many people. The aim of this research is to determine the amount of oxygen produced by the Gelora Bung Karno Urban Forest in one year. The method for calculating oxygen yield that is applied is by comparing the uptake of carbon and oxygen produced from the photosynthesis process. The results of the research showed that there were 49 individuals from 6 types of trees, namely Trembesi (Samanea saman), Ketapang (Terminalia catappa), Coconut (Cocos nucifera), Pulai (Alstonia scholaris), Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus), Eboni (Diospyros celebica). Apart from that, the city forest land is also covered with grass covering an area of 1.5 Ha. Gelora Bung Karno Urban Forest produces oxygen produced is 13,082,272.80 kg/year or the equivalent of providing oxygen for 42,668 visitors. The largest contribution comes from grass with 12,264,000 kg/year. The contribution of the Gelora Bung Karno Urban Forest to the oxygen needs of Central Jakarta residents is 3.52% of the total population.
