Abstract

This study aims to reveal the communication experience behind self-disclosure by Tell users through an anonymous application. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to describe the research problem. The results of the study showed that the communication experiences experienced by the informants included making new friends, being anonymous, making them comfortable, being free to tell stories, being a place for self-disclosure and venting all emotions and helping to find solutions. Then also have positive and negative experiences. The meaning of anonymous self-disclosure in Tell for informants is as a safe place to express self-problems and a comfortable, non-boring anonymous place that can only be conveyed in Tell, relieve feelings and emotions, and get solutions and assistance. The motives that prompted the informants to open themselves anonymously at Tell were divided into motives because of curiosity, relief of feelings and as a place for discussion and a place to hide influenced by their past experiences, but there were in order motives that were oriented towards the goal of opening up anonymous self that they want to achieve. Abstract

Megawati Soekarnoputri is the 5th former president of Indonesia and currently serves as chairman of the PDIP party. As an influential politician in Indonesia, all his actions and words can influence public opinion. At the online webinar entitled "Prevent Stunting for Golden Generation", Megawati alluded to the condition of the people who are facing the problem of scarcity of cooking oil. He responded to this problem by assuming that the community's reaction was excessive regarding the problem of scarcity of cooking oil. As a result of her response, Megawati received various criticisms from the public through various media. This research will focus on Megawati's response with the aim of knowing linguistic elements, the process of text production and consumption, as well as the socio-cultural conditions of society. This qualitative research uses the critical discourse analysis model of Norman Fairclough which divides the analysis into three dimensions, namely text analysis, discourse practice analysis and sociocultural analysis. The research results show that there are several cohesions and coherences that shape discourse and diction which indicate the communicator's view of the audience, the process of text production and consumption goes according to the topic being discussed but there are statements that make some groups feel unacceptable and the way of delivery is not wearing it, and social and cultural background that influences the formation of discourse and the response it receives because the discourse has something to do with sociocultural situations. Abstract

This study reviews the phenomenon of hyperreality which has now become part of people's lifestyles, especially social media users, namely the phenomenon of makan cantik. This study uses a qualitative method to view and describe the process of makan cantik on social media among female students of the 2019 Communication Science Study Program, Singaperbangsa Karawang University as a hyperreality phenomenon. This study aims to determine whether there is a value discrepancy between what is uploaded on social media, and what actually is. Makan cantik is a simulation activity to show a certain image through social media which is considered to represent an upper-class lifestyle. Makan cantik often try to display only the best sides of food uploaded on social media which can not only increase the attractiveness of food and public interest in the food, but also show a classy lifestyle side. Where in the makan cantik activities that are uploaded on social media, there are conditions that turn out to be different from the reality. Where they will create video or photo content that shows the side of pleasure to the quality of the food that is uploaded. Therefore, currently social media no longer always displays reality so that the phenomenon of hyperreality is created. Keywords: hyperreality, beautiful eating, social media
