Abstract

PT. Sinarta Karya Papua, a medium-scale enterprise in Eastern Indonesia, faces operational challenges due to its reliance on manual sales recording systems, leading to data duplication, delayed reporting, and limited information transparency. This hinders operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. This study aims to develop a web-based sales management information system addressing these issues using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, selected for its rapid prototyping and iterative adaptation to user needs. Data was gathered through field observations, semi-structured interviews with staff and management, and literature reviews on information systems and RAD. The system was developed with PHP and MySQL to ensure flexibility and reliable data management. Findings demonstrate the successful integration of sales transaction processing, customer management, inventory control, and real-time reporting modules. Comprehensive functional testing (Blackbox Testing) confirmed 100% operational accuracy across all features, significantly improving record-keeping efficiency and information accessibility. The primary contribution lies in implementing RAD within Papua's unique business context—an underexplored area in existing literature. The system delivers a practical solution for PT. Sinarta Karya Papua while serving as a reference model for similar enterprises in geographically challenging regions. Key implications include enhanced organizational competitiveness through digital transformation and the potential replication of this framework across other business sectors in Eastern Indonesia.

Abstract

Proses antrean manual di barbershop seperti APE Vabercaf sering menimbulkan ketidakteraturan, antrian tidak tertata, dan kesulitan manajemen dalam memantau layanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem antrean digital berbasis web untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pelayanan dan kenyamanan pelanggan. Sistem dibangun menggunakan framework CodeIgniter 4 dan basis data MySQL, serta dikembangkan melalui metode Waterfall yang mencakup analisis kebutuhan, desain, implementasi, dan pengujian. Fitur utama sistem meliputi nomor antrean otomatis, pemanggilan digital berbasis visual dan suara, pencatatan transaksi, pencetakan struk menggunakan printer thermal POS, serta laporan transaksi harian dan bulanan. Sistem juga mendukung dua peran pengguna, yaitu owner dan staff, dengan hak akses berbeda. Hasil pengujian menggunakan metode Blackbox menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fungsi sistem berjalan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna. Sistem ini mampu menggantikan proses antrean manual dengan sistem digital yang lebih tertib, cepat, dan informatif, serta membantu pemilik usaha dalam pengambilan keputusan berbasis data. Dengan demikian, sistem ini menjadi solusi tepat untuk modernisasi layanan antrean di sektor barbershop.

Abstract

Manual queuing systems at barbershops often lead to inefficiencies, such as long lines and recording errors, which can result in customer dissatisfaction. This research aims to design and implement a ticket-based queuing system similar to those used in banks. In this system, customers take a ticket number and are called according to the number they took. Methods used in this study include a user needs analysis to understand customer expectations and problems and system design using flowcharts and the Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize system processes and interactions. The system was implemented using a Raspberry Pi as the main controller and a thermal printer to print queue tickets. Results showed that the new system reduced customer waiting time by 40%, compared to the previous manual system. Additionally, a user satisfaction survey revealed a significant improvement, with 85% of customers expressing greater satisfaction with their queuing experience. In conclusion, the ticket-based queuing system effectively optimized barbershop operations, improved service efficiency, and provided a better customer experience. This research is expected to serve as a reference for other barbershops looking to improve their queuing systems and provide better service.

Abstract

Bahasa Hubula merupakan salah satu bahasa daerah yang digunakan oleh masyarakat di Lembah Baliem, Papua. Seiring perkembangan zaman, penggunaan bahasa ini mengalami penurunan, khususnya di kalangan generasi muda. Minimnya dokumentasi serta belum tersedianya media digital yang mendukung menjadi tantangan dalam pelestarian bahasa tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang dan membangun aplikasi kamus bahasa Hubula berbasis mobile sebagai media pembelajaran sekaligus upaya pelestarian bahasa daerah. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah metode Prototype, yang memungkinkan pengembangan dilakukan secara iteratif melalui pembuatan purwarupa, evaluasi, dan perbaikan berdasarkan umpan balik pengguna. Data kebutuhan dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan penutur asli, keluarga, dan masyarakat Kampung Sogasio yang berdomisili di Jayapura, serta melalui studi terhadap sumber kosakata yang tersedia. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa aplikasi kamus dalam bentuk aplikasi Android dan sistem web admin. Aplikasi Android ditujukan bagi pengguna umum untuk mencari dan mengajukan kosakata, sedangkan sistem web digunakan untuk pengelolaan data oleh admin. Hasil pengujian dengan metode blackbox menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fitur telah berfungsi sesuai kebutuhan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan teknologi pelestarian bahasa daerah serta membuka peluang replikasi untuk bahasa-bahasa lokal lainnya di Indonesia yang juga terancam punah.
