Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas VIII. SMP Negeri 5 Sungai Rotan tentang materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung dengan menggunakan pop up book sebagai media pembelajaran. PTK, yang terdiri dari dua siklus dalam pelaksanaannya. Setiap siklus mencakup fase perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil ujian pada siklus pertama menunjukkan bahwa hanya 52,77% siswa mencapai nilai lebih dari 75 sesuai dengan Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Namun, persentase siswa yang mencapai nilai lebih dari 75 meningkat menjadi 83,33% pada siklus kedua, termasuk peningkatan observasi peneliti dari 71,43% pada siklus pertama menjadi 87,50% dan peningkatan siswa dari 73,21% menjadi 85,71%.  ABSTRACT This study aims to enhance the mathematics learning of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Sungai Rotan, specifically focusing on the topic of curved surface geometry, using a pop-up book as a learning medium. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) method was employed, consisting of two cycles in its implementation. Each cycle included the phases of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the first cycle's exam indicated that only 52.77% of the students scored above 75, meeting the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC). However, the percentage of students scoring above 75 increased to 83.33% in the second cycle, accompanied by an improvement in the researcher’s observations from 71.43% in the first cycle to 87.50%, and an increase in student engagement from 73.21% to 85.71%.
