Abstract

The company's fire accident report data in the last 5 years has 7 fire cases. The description of fire control shows that workers have different APAR usage behavior. The company has conducted fire extinguisher training once a year but not thoroughly so that the knowledge and skills of each worker are different. This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge and skills with fire extinguisher use behavior among production workers in Karawang automotive company. This type of research was analytic observational with a crosssectional approach. The population in this study were 105 production workers, then using a minimum sample with the Slovin formula, the sample size was 92 respondents. The sampling technique used simple random sampling technique. Measurement of knowledge and behavior using a questionnaire. Measurement of skills using a checklist. Somers'd test was used for bivariate analysis and ordinal logistic regression test for multivariate analysis. Somers'd test results between APAR knowledge and APAR use behavior (p = 0.0001), APAR use skills with APAR use behavior (p = 0.0001). The results of the ordinal logistic regression test show that APAR knowledge has the most significant relationship with a p value = 0.0001 and t = 37.759.

Abstract

A recent analysis of the 2019 Global Burden of Disease (GBD) data shows that approximately 1.71billion people worldwide are living with musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Office work has the potential to cause musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), as office work is characterized by monotonous and repetitive movements for long periods of time and work with static postures. The urgency of thisstudy is to obtain an overview of the relationship between workstation design and work posture with complaints of musculoskeletal disorders. This research method is analytical observational research with cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted in Karanganyar Public Service Mall in 2023. The study population was Karanganyar Public Service Mall workers with a total of 48 workers. The sampling technique was total population technique. Musculoskeletal complaints were measured using the Nordic Body Map questionnaire, while workstation design was measured using a measuring device and work posture was measured using the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) method. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between work posture and musculoskeletal complaints with a pvalue = 0.037 and a correlation coefficient or r of 0.285

Abstract

Sleep is a basic need for every human being. Everyone can not be separated from sleep, where a person's condition depends on the quality of sleep. Sleep, which is directly related to health and quality of life, is a basic need for humans to continue their bio-psycho-social and cultural functions. Sleep quality can be affected by the noise and also physical workload. This study aims to determine the relationship between noise and physical workload with sleep quality on weavers at CV. X. This research is an analytic observational study, with a cross sectional approach. This research using total sampling technique with total 40 workers in the weaving section of CV. X. The research instrument used is a sound level meter to measure noise, pulseoxymeter to measure physical workload, and PSQI questionnaire Tools to measure sleep quality. The data analysis technique used spearmen's-rho, somers'd, and binary logistic regression. Spearman’s-rho test results showed that there was a significant correlation between noise and sleep quality (p=0,010), direction of correlation positive, and correlation coefficient medium (ρ=0,404). Somers’d test result showed that there was a significant correlation between physical workload and work sleep quality (p=0,000), direction of correlation positive, and correlation coefficient medium (dyx=0,466). Multivariate test results show that variable that most influences the sleep quality variable is physical workload variable (OR=22,276). There is a significant correlation between noise and physical workload with sleep quality on the weavers at CV. X.

Abstract

An industrial development is always followed by technological developments, especially in the textile industry which in the process cannot be separated with the help of machines. One of the negative impacts of this development is the noise from activities that use machines. Noise can be interpreted by the brain as a stressor or a trigger for stress. This study aims to determine the relationship between noise and work stress on operators at PT Kusumaputra Santosa. This type of research is analytic observational with a cross sectional approach. The sample of this study were 43 workers in the spinning division at PT Kusumaputra Santosa. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique. To measure noise using a Sound Level Meter (SLM). While the bivariate analysis technique used to determine the correlation between noise and work stress is the Somers'd test. The results of the study using the Somers'd test showed that there was a correlation between noise and work stress on the spinning operator with a p-value of 0.000 and correlation (r) = 0.516 (medium correlation strength). Suggestions for further research need to add other variables or factors that can affect work stress that have not been studied in this study, such as work relations, organizational structure, work atmosphere and work climate. For companies, it is necessary to upgrade personal protective equipment with better quality than before and comfortable to wear and for spinning workers, they need to wear earplugs that have been provided by the company.

Abstract

The rapid development of industrialization has resulted in the emergence of problems in the world of work, namely the emergence of work accidents. Work accidents can occur due to unsafe actions and unsafe condition. Physical workload affects the physiological condition of workers, workers who receive physical workloads that exceed capacity can cause fatigue which results in feelings of boredom and decreased concentration and alertness of workers, so that from these conditions will cause workers to experience negligence or unsafe actions while working,The sampling technique in this study used a total sampling technique with a total of 70 respondents. To measure the physical workload using a pulseoximeter, measuring work fatigue with the KAUPK2 questionnaire, and measuring unsafe actions with a questionnaire. The bivariate analysis technique used is the Somers'd test and the multivariate analysis used is the ordinal logistic regression test. The statistical test results show that the physical workload variable has a p-value = 0.000 (<0.05) and the work fatigue variable has a p-value = 0.000 (<0.05). Based on the results of the ordinal logistic regression test, it is known that the variable most related to unsafe actions is work fatigue with a wald value of 16,014.
