One of the efforts that teachers can undertake to strengthen their professionalism as educators is writing scientific papers and teaching materials. This study aims to analyze knowledge and scientific performance competency in designing and carrying out Classroom Action Research of the teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 8, Batu City. This study was descriptive study. This study was conducted from July to November 2022. The population and samples of this study were the teachers of Batu City Middle Schools. The procedures of this study encompassed preparation and research implementation. The number of respondents was 30 teachers. Interviews and questionnaires were used as the data collection procedures of this study. The knowledge aspects studied from the teacher's scientific performance competence were formulating appropriate research problems, developing a literature study framework, compiling a conceptual framework, and analyzing research results data. The data analysis technique used in this study was a descriptive-analytic by describing the findings of the study. The results of this study indicate that: that experience in the form of undergraduate education background is higher (66.76%) than master (33.38%); being a teacher for less than 15 years or less (33.00%), over 15 years is 67.00%; experience doing research is 83.00% and performance competency knowledge in the field of scientific work of Batu City Middle School teachers is in the sufficient and good categories. This study recommends that correlation analysis (correlation regression) is required between the professionalism aspect, particularly in terms of teacher scientific field performance, and assistance is needed to improve teachers’ competencies thru collaborative academic activities between lecturers and teachers in schools; one of the activities is thru a Lecturer Partnership Program.

Abstract

Dust mites are insects that have a wide range and can cause a variety of allergy illnesses. The existence of mites in an environment can be affected by abiotic factors that espouse the growth of the mites. This research aims to analyze the connection between dust mite number and abiotic factors of boarding house dust. This research was descriptive. The research was conducted in Dau District, Malang Regency, using an analysis unit of student boarding houses and their residents (students) from 2018/2019 to 2019/2020. The research population consisted of student boarding houses that had been recognized as having disruptions due to exposure to house dust. The UMM Biology Laboratory was used to obtain research data. Inferential statistical tests with SPSS 21 software were employed as part of the analysis technique. The results of this research indicate that room temperature, humidity, light intensity, wind speed, dry matter, ash content, protein content, crude fat, and crude fiber are abiotic factors that influence the TDR (House Dust Mites) population in boarding houses. Humidity is one of the abiotic factors that influence the existence of TDR among all the abiotic factors that influence the existence of TDR. The findings of this research can be utilized as a source of information for the general public, particularly students, to always pay attention to the cleanliness of their surroundings so that it does not become a medium for developing TDR and reducing the TDR population

The data collection technique uses a media and learning material needs analysis questionnaire. The research instrument is a needs analysis questionnaire sheet. Data was analyzed descriptively, quantitatively, and qualitatively. The research results show that the media and teaching materials used by teachers are quite good, but teachers rarely use a variety of media and teaching materials. The learning media that teachers often use are learning videos and the teaching materials that are often used are textbooks. Science learning still requires supporting media and teaching materials, one of which is expected to be an e-module

Abstract

This research aims to explore the characteristics of trichomes from the Fabaceae family. This type of research is exploratory descriptive research. Direct exploration and laboratory observation methods were used in the research. This research was carried out from March 2022 to January 2023. This research was carried out at the UMM Malabar City Forest and Biology Laboratory. Observation of trichomes using SEM. The research data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the research show that there are variations in the characteristics of Fabacea family trichomes in the Malabar forest of Malang City. There are two varieties of trichomes, there are three forms of trichomes, namely subulate, osteolate and globular, the highest average number is Bauhinia purpurea leaf trichomes and the fewest are Albizia chinensis and Senna siamea, the trichomes with the longest size are Delonix regia and the shortest are Erythrina trichomes variegata, the narrowest trichomes are A. chinensis and the widest are E. Variegata. The results of the research can be used by stakeholders to become a consideration for selecting plant species in city parks by using plants that can help improve air quality in addition to considering aesthetics.
