Abstract

Critical thinking is a thinking ability that includes the ability to analyze, draw conclusions, interpret, explain, and self-regulate the thought process that is carried out which is really needed by someone in an effort to solve problems. One way to support and improve critical thinking skills is scientific literacy. Scientific literacy is the ability to use scientific knowledge, identify questions, draw conclusions based on evidence to understand and help make decisions regarding nature and the changes made to nature through human activities. Researchers conducted research entitled "Development of E-LKPD Based on Scientific Literacy to Improve Critical Thinking Ability of Class V Students at SDN Laladan". The aim of this research is to determine the level of validity of E-LKPD based on scientific literacy to improve the critical thinking abilities of fifth grade students at SDN Laladan. This research uses a research and development approach. The model used by researchers is the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The data analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative descriptive data analysis. Quantitative data uses validation sheets from language experts, materials and media. The final conclusion on validity is as follows: (1) the level of validity of linguists is declared very valid with a score of 92%. (2) the level of validity of the material expert is declared very valid with a score of 94%. (3) the level of validity of media experts is declared very valid with a score of 92%. The results of this validation show that the scientific literacy-based E-LKPD that was developed was declared valid and ready to be used to improve the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students at SDN Laladan.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak pada bidang pendidikan yaitu, proses pembelajaran tidak dapat dilakukan secara tatap muka. Sehingga, guru dituntut untuk kreatif dalam mendesain pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom pada materi pokok Gerak pada Manusia, Hewan, dan Tumbuhan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode penelitian yang dipilih adalah pre-eksperimental dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest. Pretest dilakukan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar subjek penelitian sebelum model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom diberikan. Setelah perlakuan, hasil belajar subjek penelitian diketahui berdasarkan hasil posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIII-A SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Bojonegoro yang berjumlah 32 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes hasil belajar. Analisis data hasil penelitian menggunakan N-Gain Score. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persentase N-Gain Score sebesar 75% atau berkategori tinggi. Sehingga, kesimpulan penelitian adalah penerapan Flipped Classroom dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII-A di SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Bojonegoro pada tahun ajaran 2020/2021 materi pokok Gerak pada Manusia, Hewan, dan Tumbuhan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of thematic learning, describe the learning outcomes of 5th grade elementary school students, the obstacles experienced, as well as efforts to overcome obstacles in the implementation of an e-learning learning management system with a simple webview-based LMS. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this study were teachers and students of class V SDN Sumurjalak 1. The data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. Interviews were conducted directly with class teachers and students. Observations were made during thematic learning using an e-learning learning management system with a simple webview-based LMS. The data that has been collected is then reduced, then presented in the form of descriptions, tables and figures which are then given conclusions. The implementation of thematic learning in this study presents material on the theme of 6 sub-themes 1 class V, namely Heat and its Transfer. In this online learning, students use a simple LMS based on a webview. The LMS used is equipped with a platform that contains a summary of learning materials, learning videos and student worksheets that have been arranged coherently according to the learning steps with an interesting presentation. Student learning outcomes after using this LMS have increased. Students also feel happy and interested in participating in online learning with a simple LMS. However, in the implementation of thematic learning using LMS there are several obstacles including (1) Inadequate or limited quotas; (2) Unstable internet connection due to home environment conditions; (3) There is distraction in the home environment (noisy, often ordered to); (4) Insufficient device capacity to install online learning support applications and subject file storage. (5) late submission of assignments. Efforts made by schools and teachers in overcoming existing obstacles are trying their best to present interesting, creative and fun learning besides encouraging teachers to be creative and innovative in creating interesting online learning for students. availability of existing technological facilities, so that online learning can run as previously planned. Then to minimize delays in collecting assignments and following online learning the teacher can guide students to prepare in the previous days.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to apply STEM-based learning to improve the 21st Century Skills of Madrasah Aliyah students. The subject of study is class X MA Nurul Huda Kragan Rembang, Central Java. The procedures research consists of the preparation, implementation, and presentation stages. The learning design used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design model. The STEM ability profiles studied are 1) Critical Thinking (providing connections between various scientific knowledge learned by students and real-life problems); 2) Creative (directing students to apply their knowledge through an engineering design process to create a technological solution to a problem); 3) Collaborative (proving that problem solving is possible by pairing machines, this modeling is then tested and the results will be evaluated whether the problem solving solution model is effective for solving the problem or not, if it is deemed ineffective then the design of the problem solving model is improved) t; 4) Communicative (able to calculate the impact that occurs when using the technology that has been made). After applyed STEM-based learning, the Critical Thinking skills of MA Nurul Huda Kragan students increased by 27.69%, Creative abilities increased by 12.00%, Collaborative abilities increased by 17.23%, and Communicative abilities increased by 36.92%.

Abstract

Children with ADHD are children with special needs who need special services and attention, especially in formal education. Children with ADHD or often called hyperactive experience difficulties in learning because of difficulty concentrating. The learning difficulties referred to are difficulties in reading and writing at the beginning. To overcome the difficulties he faces, it is necessary to use interesting media so that he can focus his concentration and make him more enthusiastic about learning so that he can improve his reading and writing skills. Researchers used the picture book "CALIS" as an appropriate medium to help the learning process of students with ADHD. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity level of the character-based "CALIS" picture book media to improve the literacy skills of ADHD students at SDN Sidorejo II Tuban. This study uses a research and development approach (Research and Development). The development model used by researchers is the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Quantitative data uses material, media and language expert validation sheets. The final conclusion of the validity results is as follows: (1) the level of validity of the material expert is stated to be very valid with a result of 90%. (2) the validity level of the media expert is stated to be valid with a score of 80%. (3) the validity level of the linguist is stated to be very valid with a score of 93.33%. The results of this validation show that the developed "CALIS" picture book media is declared valid and ready to be used as a learning medium for children with ADHD class II at SDN Sidorejo II Tuban.
