Abstract

Meningkatnya perubahan demografis pada masyarakat akhir-akhir ini akan semakin meningkatkan keberagaman di dalam masyarakat. Untuk itu, diperlukan peran kaum muda intelektual yang di wakili oleh mahasiswa untuk dapat memberikan sumbangsih perspektif nilai pendidikan multicultural untuk anak sejak dini agar dapat mencegah terancamnya keharmonisan hidup bermasyarakat di kemudian hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perspektif mahasiswa dalam menumbuhkan nilai pendidikan multicultural untuk anak usia dini yang mencakup perbedaan agama, etnis, sosialekonomi dan gender. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif. Subjek diambil dengan purposive sampling sejumlah 20 orang mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles & Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menumbuhkan nilai pendidikan multicultural dalam perbedaan agama, etnis, sosialekonomi dan gender dapat dilakukan dengan (1) bertukar nilai positif antar pemeluk agama, (2) dengan mengikuti kegiatan etnis yang berbeda, (3) melibatkan anak dengan kegiatan social dilingkungannya, (4) melalui buku cerita dan lewat kegiatan menonton film yang berisi muatan nilai kesetaraan gender. Singkatnya, penelitian ini berkesimpulan bahwa perspektif mahasiswa dalam menumbuhkan nilai pendidikan multicultural untuk anak usia dini dapat dilakukan dengan melakukan interaksi dan melibatkan anak dengan kegiatan yang ada di sekeliling mereka sehingga anak akan dapat menumbuhkan nilai pendidikan multicultural di hati dan perilakunya.

Abstract

The problem in implementing STEAM learning is that teachers have difficulty integrating all STEAM elements into one activity or learning activity in the classroom. This research aims to analyze how the implementation of the STEAM learning approach with loose part media affects the collaboration skills of early childhood. This type of research is qualitative research, using qualitative descriptive methods and a case study approach. This research uses observation, interview and documentation data collection methods. The instruments used were observation sheets and interview sheets. The informant for this research was the group B teacher. Then, to validate the data, data analysis techniques were used in the form of triangulation, which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of the STEAM learning approach assisted by loose part media in Kindergarten has been implemented well. Teachers have carried out learning activities through the stages of planning, implementation and evaluation. It is hoped that the implications of this research will be material for study and evaluation for teachers who will implement STEAM-based learning in kindergarten.

Abstract

The public thinks that sex education is not appropriate to be given to young children. Padahal pendidikan seks yang diberikan sejak dini sangat berpengaruh dalam kehidupan anak ketika dia memasuki masa remaja. Sex education can be introduced to early childhood by utilizing learning media using pop-up books. This research aims to develop learning media in the form of pop-up books that contain sex education for early childhood. The research model used is the ADDIE model. Data collection is carried out by observation and validation questionnaires to obtain expert assessments from media experts, material experts, and practitioners. The results of the validation of the pop-up book on media experts obtained a percentage of 4.5 with the category of very feasible, and the validation of material experts obtained a percentage of 5 with the category of very feasible, and the validation of media feasibility by teachers obtained a percentage of 4.6 with the category of feasible. Based on the results of the validation of media experts and material experts, as well as practitioners, it can be concluded that the pop-up book media developed is very feasible to be used as a learning medium in introducing sex education in early childhood. The implication of this study is the creation of Pop-up Book learning media to improve the understanding of early childhood sexual education in the age group of 5-6 years.

Abstract

Kindergarten teachers experience obstacles and difficulties when developing appropriate media to stimulate the concentration of children aged 5-6 years. Children find it very difficult to concentrate and their minds are easily distracted. Therefore, activities are needed that can train children's concentration skills. The purpose of this study was to prove the effectiveness of the hit and jump circuit game for children aged 5-6 years. This type of research is development research. The research model used is the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this study were 20 kindergarten children. This study used a questionnaire collection method and used an observation questionnaire (non-test). The instruments used were observation sheets and questionnaire sheets. The data analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive analysis and inferential statistics. The results of the effectiveness test obtained a tcount of 33.65. Then ttable with db = n-1 = 20-1 = 19. The ttable value for db 19 with a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05) is 1.685. Thus, the results of the analysis can be compared that tcount is greater than ttable so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that the hit and jump circuit game is effectively applied to stimulate the concentration of children aged 5-6 years. The implications of this study are expected to be a reference for teachers in kindergartens in choosing activities that can stimulate children's concentration.
