Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of 1 minute hyperoxygenation on the suctioning process on oxygen saturation of patients with mechanical ventilators. Quasi experimental research design pre-post test with control group design. The results showed oxygen I saturation before median hyperoxygenation 97 min 95-99, after median hyperoxygenation 99 min 98-100 with p value 0.05. While in the intervention group II before median hyperoxygenation 97 min 95-100, after median hyperoxygenation 99 min 95-100, with p value 0.05. In conclusions there were significant differences in oxygen saturation before and after 1 minute hyperoxygenation administration. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the modified valsalva maneuver in restoring sinus rhythm in patients presenting to the emergency department of the Harapan Kita National Heart Hospital Jakarta with Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT). The method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental research design. The results showed that the modified valsalva maneuver affected systolic and diastolic blood pressure and heart rate, with the average difference between pre and post-valsalva maneuver modification being 0.399 in systole; 0.075 in diastole; and a heart rate of 0.081. In conclusion, the valsalva maneuver modification is able to change the SVT ECG image into a Sinus Rythem ECG. Keywords: Modified Valsalva Maneuver, Emergency Treatment, Supraventricular Tachycardia

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of educational technology in improving the quality of life and compliance in hypertensive patients. The research method is quasi-experimental, with a research design before and after educational interventions. The results showed that the majority of respondents aged >50 years were ten people (83.3%), female sex was eight people (66.7%), with high school education status were six people (50%), respondents had a history of hypertension numbering ten people (83.3 %), and the maximum BMI value is 25.1-27 of 7 people (58.3%). In conclusion, educational interventions with flipcharts can improve quality of life scores and enhance adherence to hypertension treatment, with attentive listening and dialogue built within health facilities and in community spaces that can facilitate decision-making about strategies to promote life improvements. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of eye mask intervention on the sleep quality of coronary artery disease patients, which can be caused by many factors, including lighting, bedside monitor sound, the disease suffered, and nursing actions. This research method is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design with a control group pretest-posttest design. The research results showed that the p-value was 0.001 < 0.05, meaning there was a significant difference in the sleep quality of the intervention and control groups. In conclusion, eye masks are an easy intervention to implement and can significantly improve sleep quality in coronary artery disease patients treated in the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit.
