Abstract

The research is about Teaching English with cooperative learning of Picture and Picture model which the goal is to increase the writing ability of grammar Past Tense and Present Perfect. The subject of this research are 33 students of class X IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Bantul. The research was done from December 2018 to March 2019. The procedure of this research was done with two cycles. The steps of this research are planning, action and reflection. The data was gotten from observation, questionnaire, interview and writing practice of Past Tense and Present Perfect. The result of this research show that students writing increase from 73% to 97%. Based on questionnaire of students' response of the cooperative learning model of type Picture and Picture, the result increase from 92% to 93%. They do agree and strongly agree with this model because they can understand and remember the lesson easily, interact and discuss with their friend in group, the learning process becomes fun, interesting and not boring. Cooperative learning of Picture and Picture model can improve the writing ability of grammar, particularly for Past Tense and Present Perfect. This model is beneficial for students so that students will be interested to study grammar. This kind of teaching is very suitable to be used for teacher to teach grammar Past Tense and Present Perfect.

Abstract

Online Learning need creativities and innovation to face teaching problem that must continue in pandemic COVID19. Teacher is the key of success in education have important influence to teach the material for students to be care with the environment. English is as the compulsory lesson of Junior High School and Senior High School support to learning English and to educate care with the environment. Therefore teacher should use strategy to build the character of caring the environment. This paper will show how to teach online learning which the aim to increase the ability of students in writing leaflet of exposition and caring the environment. The teaching strategy can develop students participation online learning, creativity in writing leaflet, experience of online presentation and the student have the character of caring environment. Based on questioner data of 176 studentss, it found student got creativity, enjoying, interesting, inovatif model, increase the skill of writing exposition leaflet about environment and impove the creativity because it is the interesting design leaflet and the students have character in caring the environment

Abstract

Best practices in contextual learning by writing advertisementwith the Canva app aim to apply students' ability to write advertisement text with the Canva application. The method is qualitative descriptive. The data based on observation, implementation of learning, and questioner. The subjects of this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Bantul. Abstract

The best practice in learning English is writing "Conditional Sentences" with a pictorial concept map aimed in applying students' ability to write "Conditional Sentences". This method uses descriptive qualitative. The data obtained is based on observation, implementation of learning and questionnaires. The subjects of this study were class XII students of SMA Negeri 1 Bantul. Based on the best practices in the learning are the explanation of the material "Conditional Sentence", group activities in analyzing sentences, writing sentences individually by making a picture of mind mapping according to the theme of the picture which is created by the students. Based on the results of the questionnaire and the practice of writing with picture of mind mapping, students are able to understand the material well, enjoy learning and creative in writing with picture of mind mapping.
