Abstract

KMP. Gili Iyang which operates on the Paciran-Bawean route has 2 trips/week with a crossing distance of 80 miles. However, the operation of ships on long distances is not balanced with the ideal number of trips, resulting in a buildup of vehicles and passengers at Paciran Port. Where the time needed to sail is 8 hours. Therefore, this research aims to determine the frequency, number of ships needed and efficient ship operation patterns according to the needs of service users. The analysis in this research includes load factor analysis, passenger and vehicle growth prediction analysis, ship frequency analysis, ship number requirement analysis, and scheduling analysis. From this analysis, it was concluded that the ideal number of ship frequencies on the Paciran-Bawean route is 1 trip/week, and the number of ships that must be operated is 1 ship, and the results of the analysis show that the schedule for ships serving the Paciran-Bawean route is still not yet in accordance. So rescheduling is needed from 2 trips/week to 1 trip/week and forecasting is needed for the next 5 years so that the number of trips is in accordance with the needs of service users, as well as the operation of the KMP. Dharma Kencana on the Paciran- Bawean route so that there is a balance between service users and service providers.

Abstract

Pelabuhan Paciran merupakan pelabuhan yang berlokasi di Tunggul, Kec. Paciran, Kabupaten Lamongan, Jawa Timur. Agar keamanan dan keselamatan pelayaran dapat terjamin maka perlu adanya Automatic Identification System (AIS) yang aktif selama kapal beroperasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian pemasangan klas AIS pada kapal yang beroperasi dan mengetahui kelengkapan informasi statik maupun dinamik yang dikirimkan operator kapal melalui AIS serta untuk mengetahui kepatuhan operator kapal dalam mengaktifkan AIS pada kapal yang beroperasi di Pelabuhan Paciran. Adapun hal yang akan di analisa pada penelitian ini yaitu pemasangan Klas AIS, Kelengkapan informasi statik maupun dinamik yang dikirimkan oleh operator kapal pada AIS dan ketertiban operator kapal dalam mengaktifkan AIS terutama pada saat kapal berlayar. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode Kondisi eksisting dan metode Observasi dengan melihat secara langsung permasalahan yang terjadi di lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa seluruh kapal yang beropreasi di Pelabuhan Paciran sudah memasang AIS klas A sesuai persyaratan Konvensi Safety Of Life At Sea ( SOLAS ). Namun ,masih terdapat kapal yang belum mengirimkan informasi secara lengkap baik data statis maupun dinamis.

Abstract

This study was conducted to find a revitalization model that will serve as a reference in the development of river transportation in the city of Bnajarmasin in the future. As is known, Banjarmasin has long played a strategic role in inter-island trade traffic, because it is located at the confluence of the Barito and Martapura rivers, which are broad and deep. So that the rivers can be navigated by large ships and the ships can dock as far as Banjarmasin City. Despite this the peculiarity of the number of rivers that are naturally used as transportation infrastructure, their role is gradually eroded by land transportation modes. Therefore, if the above conditions are not anticipated early on, the development of river transportation facilities and infrastructure will continue to undergo degradation physically and in function. This is certainly not beneficial for the future development of Banjarmasin City, because river transportation infrastructure is naturally available and the geography of Banjarmasin City still allows the river transportation system to be maintained and developed. The results of this study indicate that the revitalization of river transportation has the potential to be developed as an alternative urban transportation that is integrated with existing urban land transportation. because river transportation infrastructure is naturally available and the geography of Banjarmasin City still allows the river transportation system to be maintained and developed. Abstract

Kebakaran hutan dan lahan yang terjadi di daerah Sumatera Selatan serta fenomena kebakaran hutan yang terjadi di dekat pemukiman penduduk di Pulau Jawa perlu memperoleh perhatian bagi pemerintah maupun masyarakat. Potensi bahaya akibat kebakaran perlu dicegah dan ditanggulangi dengan upaya berupa peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap bahaya kebakaran, pengetahuan tentang pencegahan dan penanggulangan bahaya kebakaran. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat tentang pencegahan dan penanggulangan kebakaran dilakukan Politeknik Transportasi Sungai Danau dan Penyeberangan Palembang disampaikan kepada masyarakat Kecamatan Lempuing Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir. Peserta kegiatan tersebut sejumlah 30 orang. Tujuan kegiatan tersebut untuk meningkatkan kesadaran, kewaspadaan, pengetahuan tentang pencegahan dan penanggulangan bahaya kebakaran bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan survey lokasi, pemberian evaluasi tingkat pemahamn peserta melalui pre-test dan post-test serta pemberian materi teori dan praktek tentang pencegahan dan penanggulangan kebakaran. Hasil dari kegiatan tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan pada 22 orang dari 30 orang peserta (73,33%).

Abstract

The causes of shipping accidents, as identified by the KNKT investigation, included technical, weather, and human factors. As a result, community empowerment training was conducted in 2023 for loaders of inland waterway transport vessels Class I. This training aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge, insight, and skills regarding loading arrangements and stability testing of inland waterway vessels. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method using primary data from evaluations, including pretests and posttests administered to 30 training participants. The analysis technique utilized was the paired t-test. Results obtained through the Wilcoxon Matched Pair test indicated a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores, leading to the conclusion that participants’ knowledge improved after completing the training. The findings revealed that, out of 30 training participants, only 2 experienced a decrease in scores. Conversely, 28 participants showed positive results (positive rankings), indicating an increase in scores. The average pretest score was 73.67, which increased to an average posttest score of 92.50 following the training. These results were further supported by the significant difference shown in the paired t-test analysis. In conclusion, there was a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge after the training. It is recommended that the program be expanded to include more participants to ensure that the broader community, particularly ship operators, benefits from increased knowledge of shipping safety and proper ship loading practices.

Abstract

Pengaruh Perawatan Fresh Water Cooler Terhadap Kinerja Mesin Induk Di Kapal KMP. Portlink III, (Dibimbing oleh p. Marcello Lopulalan, M.Pd, M.Mar.E dan Driaskoro Budi Sidharta, M.Sc). Mesin induk merupakan suatu pesawat yang memiliki peranan yang sangat penting di atas kapal untuk menunjang pengoperasian kapal, sehingga kapal dapat beroperasi dengan baik. Dalam mendukung kinerjanya mesin induk, terdapat beberapa sistem di dalamnya dan salah satunya adalah sistem pendingin air tawar. Sistem ini berfungsi untuk mencegah panas yang berlebih pada mesin induk karena mesin induk dapat menghasilkan energi gerak dan energi panas pada saat proses pengoperasiannya. Gagalnya fresh water cooler mendinginkan mensin dapat berdampak pada kerusakan mesin. Perawatan fresh water cooler merupakan tindakan yang dapat mengembalikan kemampuan fresh water cooler dalam mendinginkan mesin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengarauh perawatan fresh water cooler terhadap kinerja mesin induk di atas kapal. Penelitian ini dilakukan di atas KMP. Portlink III selama dua belas bulan. Data yang digunakan berupa data primer yang diambil secara langsung oleh peneliti saat melaksanakan praktek. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa banyaknya kotoran yang terbawa oleh air laut pada fresh water cooler, sehingga penyerapan panas menjadi berkurang, ditambah lagi kapasitas air pendingin yang berkurang, yang mengakibatkan proses penyerapan panas tidak maksimal.

Abstract

Lembar Ferry Port is a very important commercial port in developing and connecting West Nusa Tenggara Province, especially Lombok Island with Bali Province. This makes the port management as a service provider industry continue to strive to develop services to increase the potential of the port and the satisfaction of service users, one of which is the online ticket booking system. This study aims to analyze the level of service user satisfaction with the implementation of the online ticket booking system using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method at Lembar Ferry Port as one of the providers of ferry transportation services on Lombok Island. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to users of Lembar Ferry Port services as respondents to obtain data on the level of expectations and performance felt by service users. Based on the results of the study, service users have felt quite satisfied with the performance of the online ticket booking system carried out by the management of Lembar Ferry Port. This can be seen from the CSI value obtained, which is 59.12%. The things that need to be improved or corrected from the online ticket booking system at Lembar Ferry Port, one of which is the system display for service users which is simple but still informative because it has the highest expectation value from service users.

Abstract

Keterbatasan pasokan energi listrik di daerah pedesaan yang bergantung pada transportasi air menuntut solusi inovatif berbasis energi terbarukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) pada kapal penyeberangan di Dermaga Desa Sukarela, Kecamatan Rantau Bayur, Kabupaten Banyuasin. Metodologi penelitian meliputi studi literatur, survei lapangan, perancangan sistem, implementasi perangkat keras, dan pengujian kinerja sistem. Sistem PLTS menggunakan panel surya berkapasitas 300 Wp dengan dukungan solar charge controller dan baterai penyimpanan energi untuk menyuplai kebutuhan listrik kapal dan dermaga. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa potensi produksi energi listrik tahunan mencapai 1.381,2 kWh, dengan produksi energi tertinggi sebesar 295 W pada pukul 11.00 WIB, dan terendah sebesar 130,5 W pada pukul 16.00 WIB. Sistem PLTS terbukti dapat bekerja dengan baik dalam mendukung operasional kapal penyeberangan sekaligus mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap bahan bakar fosil. Implementasi sistem ini tidak hanya berdampak pada efisiensi biaya operasional, tetapi juga mendukung kebijakan nasional terkait transisi energi dan pemanfaatan energi terbarukan pada sektor transportasi.
