Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kasifikasi dari tindak tutur yang terjadi dalam dialog film Indonesia berjudul 5cm. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara deskrptif kualitatif. Data dianalisa sesuai dengan teori dari konteks yang di jabarkan oleh Leech (1983) dan Januarsdi (2012). Sedangkan Penganalisaan dari klasifikasi tindak tutur menggunakan teori yang di usulkan oleh Searle (1969) yang terdiri dari, representatif, direktif, komisif, ekspresif, dan deklarasi. Penelitian ini menemukan adanya 42 ujaran dianalisa dimana representative memperoleh 7 ujaran (17%), direktif 17 ujaran (40%), komisif 6 ujaran (14%), ekspresif 11 ujaran ( 26%) dan terakhir deklaratif 1 ujaran (2%). Selanjutnya penelitian ini menunjukan lima tipe konteks yang ditemukan ada 84 konteks dianalisa dimana konteks situasi memperoleh 42 (100%), konteks psikologi 38 (90%), konteks hubungan memperoleh 2(5%), dan konteks lingkungan dan konteks budaya memperoleh masing-masing hanya 1(2%). Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari studi tentang pragmatik, khususnya tindak tutur agar dapat memahami maksud pembicara ketika mereka memproduksi ujaran dan untuk mengurangi salah paham tentang makna sehingga komunikasi menjadi lebih mudah dilakukan.Kata Kunci : Konteks, klasifikasi tindak tutur, analisa, film 5 cm ABSTRACT The aimed of this study to analyze the classification of speech acts and the context occurred in the dialogue of Indonesian movie entitled 5cm. This study was a descriptive qualitative. The data were analyzed based on theory of context proposed by Leech (1983) and Januarisdi (2012).Classifications of speech act proposed by Searle (1969) which consist of representative, directive, commissives, expressive and declaration. Findings of this study showed the five classification of speech acts found that there were 42 utterances analyzed where representative were 7 utterances (17%), directives 17 utterances (40%), commissives 6 utterances (14%), expressive 11 utterances (26%) and the last declaration 1 utterance (2%).Furthermore finding of this study showed five types of context that found there were 84 context analyzed where situational context were 42 (100%), psychological context were 38 (90%), relational context were 2 (5%), and environmental context and cultural context each of them only 1 (2%). The implication of this study to learn pragmatic especially speech act in order to understand the speaker’s intention when they produce utterances and to decrease miss understanding about the meaning so that communication will be easier to do. keyword : context,Classifications of speech act, analysis, 5cm movie

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan pada pemahaman membaca siswa kelas X di SMA N 1 Singaraja yang diajar melalui strategi mengajar timbal balik dan strategi konvensional. Desain penelitian ini adalah eksperimental semu dengan menggunakan desain kelompok kontrol post-test. Populasinya adalah siswa kelas X SMA N 1 Singaraja. Pengambilan sampel acak kluster digunakan untuk memilih sampel. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa X MIA3 dan X MIA2. Setiap kelas terdiri dari 32 siswa. Kelompok eksperimen diajarkan melalui strategi pengajaran timbal balik sementara kelompok kontrol diajarkan melalui strategi konvensional. Post-test dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan data. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial dengan menggunakan IMB SPSS Statistics 25. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen memperoleh skor yang lebih baik daripada kelompok kontrol. Nilai rata-rata untuk kelompok eksperimen adalah 70,84 sementara kelompok kontrol memperoleh 65,93. Statistik inferensial dilakukan dengan melakukan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa to > tcv (12.029 > 1.99897). Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dari penerapan Strategi Pengajaran Reciprocal pada pemahaman membaca siswa kelas sepuluh di SMA N 1 Singaraja diterima. Ukuran efek dari penelitian ini adalah 0,50725. Itu diklasifikasikan ke dalam efek sedang.Kata Kunci : Eksperimen, Pemahaman Membaca, Strategi Mengajar Timbal-Balik This study aimed at determining whether or not there was a significant difference on tenth grade students’ reading comprehension in SMA N 1 Singaraja who were taught by using reciprocal teaching strategy and conventional strategy. The design of this study was quasi-experimental design utilizing post-test only control group design. The population was tenth grade students of SMA N 1 Singaraja. Cluster random sampling was used to select the sample. The samples of this study were X MIA3 and X MIA2 students. Each class consisted of 32 students. The experimental group was taught by using reciprocal teaching strategy meanwhile control group was taught by using conventional strategy. Post-test was conducted to collect the data. The data was analyzed descriptively and inferentially by using IMB SPSS Statistics 25. The result showed that experimental group obtained better score than control group. The mean score for experimental group was 70.84 while control group obtained 65.93. Inferential statistics was done by conducting t-test. The result showed that to > tcv (2.029 > 1.99897). It indicated that stated there is a significant different of the implementation of Reciprocal Teaching Strategy on tenth grade students’ reading comprehension in SMA N 1 Singaraja was accepted. Abstract

People rarely know the function of the language used in the film. This study analyzes speech acts in a dialogue film entitled Merry Riana: Dreams of a Million Dollars. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data were analyzed from the form of speech acts consisting of direct and indirect speech acts in the form of declarative, imperative, and interrogative. The type of speech act analysis uses Searle's theory of representative, directive, commissive, expressive, and declaration. The result of this research is that direct speech act in interrogative form is 43.63%. Direct speech acts in the declarative form are 95 (43.18%), direct speech acts in the imperative form are 24 (10.90%), indirect speech acts in the imperative form are 2 (0.9%), indirect speech acts in imperative form as much as 2 (0.9%). interrogative form is 2 (0.9%), and indirect speech act in declarative form is 1 (0.45%). Furthermore, 74 utterances are analyzed into five types of speech acts. The most dominant representative used 36 (48.6%). Then followed by directive 21 (28.3%), expressive 14 (18.9%), commissive 3 (4.0%), and declarative 0 (0.0%). This research implies that understanding speech acts plays an important role in communication.

Abstract

Language is a system that mediates and types of vocalizations used by a community to communicate to understand each other. Language also has many varieties. This diversity is influenced by many factors, such as being influenced by a known place by age, gender, social status, and type of work. One variety of language is jargon. This study aims to analyze the jargon of meaning used by the people of Tenganan Village in weaving grinning. The design of this research is a qualitative descriptive design. The method used is observation and interviews. The observation method was carried out to observe the state of Tenganan village. The interview method was conducted to interview two weavers in Tenganan village to provide information regarding the jargon they use. The results showed that Tenganan Village people used fifty-six jargon to bring weaving. Based on fifty-six jargon, they are categorized into four types. The first type is jargon based on yarn processing, consisting of twenty jargon. The second type is jargon based on the weaving process, which finds three jargon. The third type is jargon based on naming tools and materials that find fifteen jargon. The fourth type is jargon based on the naming of eighteen motifs. Each jargon has a meaning that is used to facilitate communication between weavers in producing grinding weaving.

Abstract

Writing skills are very important for students to master to help them prepare for their future. However, grammar is one of the obstacles for students in writing English. This research aims to analyze grammatical errors made by students in writing argumentative paragraphs and to analyze the sources of these errors. Second semester English Language Education students were chosen as the subjects of this research. Furthermore, in analyzing the data, this research applies a combination of descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative methods. Apart from that, data was collected through collecting documents from the end-of-semester tests. The data analysis procedure consists of three specific steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of the research found that students made 11 types of errors with a total of 165 errors. Most of them made omission of article errors with 39 (23.63%) errors, then simple addition 33 (20%) errors, alternating form 27 (16.36%) errors, omission of to be 21 (12.72%) errors, then omission of preposition 17 (10.30%) errors, omission of plural –s with 15 (9.09%) errors, misordering 6 (3.63%) errors, regularization 3 (1.81%) errors, and finally double marking and archi-form each 1 ( 0.60%) error. In addition, sources of errors were found in four types: interlingual transfer, intralingual transfer, context of learning, and communication strategy. The majority of students made mistakes due to intralingual transfer, 119 (72.12%) errors were found, followed by interlingual transfer 41 (24.84%) errors, communication strategy 3 (1.81%), and context of learning 2 (1.21%) errors.

Abstract

The Cendrawasih dance typical Buleleng is a traditional Balinese dance from Buleleng, Bali. This dance has lexicons that can be found in its dance movements. However the Cendrawasih Dance at Buleleng is not widely known and has almost been forgotten, in addition it has been re-enacted. Furthermore, during dance practice, dancers changed some of the lexicons from Balinese to Indonesian. If these lexicons that use Balinese are rarely used , the language will experience extinction, and Balinese culture will be lost. Documenting and capturing the culture is one way to save it from extinction. This study aims to analyze the lexicons based on movements in Cendrawasih dance at Buleleng, along with the cultural meaning of the lexicons. This study was descriptive qualitative research using an ecolinguistics approach. The data were obtained through observation and interviews. The description of the lexicons that has been obtained was translated into English and then described. After that, lexicons that have cultural meanings will be described. The result found there are 26 lexicons related to the dance movements of Cendrawasih Buleleng. The lexicons are categorized into five types part of body movements, such as three lexicons in head movements, three lexicons in eye movements, nine lexicons in hand movements, nine lexicons in leg movements, and two lexicons in body movements. There are ten lexicons that have cultural meanings.

Abstract

Language is essential in social interaction. It is used by society to communicate with others. Besides, language in society is used as a means of communication to express ideas, intentions, opinions, and purposes. In addition, language also has the function of expressing someone’s feelings and emotions. Politeness becomes one of the crucial things to maintain the conversation running well in society. The communication starts from the small circle and then comes to the big circle. The small circle for example in family members is one of the communications that can begin before going to society. Therefore, the present study aimed to analyze the types of politeness strategies used by Rimbi’s family members. This research was categorized as descriptive qualitative research. A descriptive qualitative research design was used to describe the positive politeness in family member conversations. There were 5 members chosen as the subjects in this research. It consisted of a father, a mother, and 3 sisters. The research data were the script of conversation in the form of sentences, clauses, or words. The findings show that the family members rarely use negative politeness despite that bald-off record and off record become the most used strategies use in the family members.
