Abstract

ABSTRACT Early Childhood Education (ECE) plays a strategic role in building a comprehensive foundation for children’s development. The holistic integrative approach is an important strategy to improve the quality of ECE services as it integrates education, health, nutrition, protection, and caregiving aspects in a unified and sustainable manner. This study aims to analyze the strengthening of ECE quality through a holistic integrative approach based on a literature review of the last five years. The method used is a literature review by examining relevant and credible national and international scientific articles. The findings show that this approach can enhance children’s cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development, as well as strengthen collaboration among educational institutions, families, and communities in a synergistic way. However, its implementation still faces various challenges, such as limited resources, educator competencies, and suboptimal service integration in practice. Therefore, strengthening strategies are needed through improving educator capacity, learning innovation, and continuous cross-sector collaboration to realize high-quality, effective, inclusive, and sustainable ECE services in supporting optimal child development. ABSTRAK Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) memiliki peran strategis dalam membangun fondasi perkembangan anak secara menyeluruh. Pendekatan holistik integratif menjadi strategi penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan PAUD karena mengintegrasikan aspek pendidikan, kesehatan, gizi, perlindungan, dan pengasuhan anak secara terpadu dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penguatan kualitas PAUD melalui pendekatan holistik integratif berdasarkan kajian literatur lima tahun terakhir. Metode yang digunakan adalah literature review dengan menelaah artikel ilmiah nasional dan internasional yang relevan dan kredibel. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ini mampu meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif, sosial-emosional, dan fisik anak, serta memperkuat kolaborasi antara lembaga pendidikan, keluarga, dan masyarakat secara sinergis. Namun, implementasinya masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya, kompetensi pendidik, serta belum optimalnya integrasi layanan di lapangan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi penguatan melalui peningkatan kapasitas pendidik, inovasi pembelajaran, dan sinergi lintas sektor secara berkelanjutan untuk mewujudkan layanan PAUD yang berkualitas, efektif, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan dalam mendukung tumbuh kembang anak secara optimal.
