Abstract

The village, which is located in the Coastal District of Jailolo, West Halmahera, had a considerable impact from the earthquake. This is because the earthquakes that occur are influenced by tectonic earthquakes due to the movement and collision of tectonic plates on land and the seabed. If the collision causes a fault in the seabed, a tsunami can occur. The purpose of this study was to analyze the risk of earthquake disasters in supporting development planning and to produce an earthquake risk map for the coastal area of Jailolo District, West Halmahera. The analytical method used is descriptive quantitative, and the data collection model is a questionnaire with random sampling. The results obtained are in the form of a hazard value using the PGA value and produce the same PGA value, namely > 0.70 gal with a high category for Bobanehena Village, Saria Village, Payo Village, Bobo Village, and Idamdehe Village. The value of vulnerability (physical, social, and economic vulnerability) shows that Bobanehena Village has a high vulnerability index value with a score of 1.9. The capacity index value for the five villages has the same score of 3 and is included in the high class. So that the value of the earthquake risk level with a high class is obtained, namely in Bobanehena Village and Bobo Village. The high level of risk in the two villages is influenced by the frequency of occurrence of earthquakes with high intensity in the area, the impact of losses due to earthquakes is quite high. Earthquake risk reduction efforts will be maximized if a comprehensive earthquake risk assessment analysis is carried out and a commitment from the Government is carried out.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive multimedia tutorial of discovery learning model (iMTDLM) and to examine its effect on the improvement of pedagogical competence and the ability of pre-service physics teachers (PPTs) in constructing lesson plans. This development research follows the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement dan Evaluate). The instruments used include a validation sheet for iMTDLM product, an instrument for assessing pedagogical competence, and an instrument for evaluating lesson plans. The implementation phase involved 9 PPTs who were taking the course Teaching Practice 1 at a university in the city of Ternate. The results of the study showed that the iMTDLM was successfully designed by combining the use of Adobe Director 11 and Filmora software. The use of the iMTDLM in the Teaching Practice 1 course yields a positive effect on the improvement of pedagogical competence and the PPTs’ ability to construct lesson plans.

Abstract

Digital games have the potential to increase the effectiveness of using interactive e-modules. This development research aims to produce an interactive e-module on vibration and waves concept (IeMVWC) assisted by digital games, as well as investigate the impact of its use on student learning achievement. This development research follows the ADDIE stages (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The data collected in this study includes product validation data, learning achievement data, and student response data collected through validation sheets, multiple-choice questions, and questionnaires. The IeMVWC product assisted by digital games produced is declared very feasible for use in learning and effective in improving student learning achievement in vibration and wave learning.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students’ learning outcomes through the implementation of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model complemented with ICT-based gamification applications. This research is an experimental research that involved students from class VIII at a junior high school in Ternate city. Students’ learning outcome data were collected through multiple-choice test instruments. The results showed that the use of the Wordwall gamification application in the TGT cooperative learning model was significantly more effective to improve students’ learning outcomes compared to conventional learning. This research implies that ICT-based gamification applications can be used as a complement to teaching materials. Moreover, the variety of game types utilized contributes to increased student engagement in the learning process.
