Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe and explain the means of cohesion in the formation of the wholeness of discourse in a collection of love poems by Kahlil Gibran entitled "Melancholocic Gibran Works by Soul-Raising Syahdu". The approach used in this study uses a qualitative descriptive approach and this type of research uses the type of discourse analysis research. The data in this research are in the form of excerpts from poetry that can describe cohesion and coherence in a collection of love poems by Kahlil Gibran. The data source of this research is a collection of love poems by Kahlil Gibran entitled "Melancholocic Gibran Works by Soul-Saving Souls". The results of this research are grammatical cohesion tools used by a collection of love poems by Kahlil Gibran entitled "Melancholocic Gibran by Soul-Enhancing Syahdu Works" are exophoric references, anaphoric references, wordfora references, nominal substitution, elliptical clauses, additive and conjunctive coordinating conjunctions, are exophoric references, anaphoric references, wordaphoric references, nominal substitution, elliptical clauses, additive and conjunctive coordinating conjunctions, are exophoric references, anaphoric references, wordaphoric references, nominal substitution, elliptical clauses, additive and conjunctive coordinating conjunctions. resistance, attribute subordinative conjunction, and subordinative conjunction time.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan sarana kohesi dalam pembentukan keutuhan wacana pada kumpulan puisi cinta karya Kahlil Gibran yang berjudul “Melancholocic Gibran Karya-karya Syahdu Penggugah Jiwa”. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian analisis wacana. Data dalam penelitan ini berupa kutipan larik puisi yang bisa menggambarkan kohesi dan koherensi dalam kumpulan puisi cinta karya Kahlil Gibran. Sumber data penelitian ini ialah kumpulan puisi cinta karya Kahlil Gibran yang berjudul “Melancholocic Gibran Karya-karya Syahdu Penggugah Jiwa”. Hasil dari penelitan ini sarana kohesi gramatikal yang digunakan kumpulan puisi cinta karya Kahlil Gibran yang berjudul “Melancholocic Gibran Karya-karya Syahdu Penggugah Jiwa” adalah referensi eksofora, referensi anafora, referensi katafora, substitusi nomina, elipsis klausa, konjungsi koordinatif penambahan dan, konjungsi koordinatif perlawanan, konjungsi subordinatif atributit, dan konjungsi subordinatif waktu.

Abstract

The use of grammatical features in academic discourse in college contains a relational value for a particular purpose. To assess the value of relational use of grammatical features, required analytical model is based on a critical paradigm, namely critical discourse analysis. Model of critical discourse analysis that is used is model analysis Fairclough that combines text analysis, discourse practice and socio-cultural practices. Realm of discourse that researched is the academic discourse i.e the research proposal seminar in college. Relational value represent dimension of 'social relations' in academic discourse. The results showed that the relational value using by 5 features of grammar, namely (1) declarative sentence, (2) interrogative sentences, (3) imperative sentence, (4) modalities of relational, and (5) personal pronouns for the purpose of ideological and domination. The use of grammatical features of ideological and repressive conducted by moderator, keynote address, main comparators and general comparator.Penggunaan fitur gramatika dalam wacana akademik di perguruan tinggi mengandung nilai relasional untuk tujuan tertentu. Untuk mengkaji nilai relasional pada penggunaan fitur gramatika, diperlukan model analisis yang didasarkan pada paradigma kritis, yaitu analisis wacana kritis. Model analisis wacana kritis yang digunakan adalah model Fairclough yang menggabungkan analisis teks, praktik kewacanaan, dan praktik sosiokultural. Ranah wacana yang diteliti adalah wacana akademik, yakni seminar proposal penelitian di perguruan tinggi. Nilai relasional merepresentasi dimensi ‘hubungan sosial’ dalam wacana akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai relasional dilakukan dengan menggunakan 5 fitur gramatika, yakni (1) kalimat deklaratif, (2) kalimat interogatif, (3) kalimat imperatif, (4) modalitas relasional, dan (5) pronomina persona untuk tujuan secara ideologis dan dominasi. Penggunaan fitur gramatika secara ideologis dan represif tersebut dilakukan oleh moderator, pemrasaran, pembanding utama dan pembanding umum.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe (1) the choice of vocabulary that is often used to describe women and (2) the position of women in society. The method used in this research is Fairclough's critical discourse analysis. The data of this research are words, phrases, sentences, and pictures/illustrations that show the image of women. While the data sources are six high school level Indonesian language textbooks sourced from two publishers, Kementrian Kebudayaan dan Pendidikan and Penerbit Erlangga. Data were analyzed using critical reading. The results show that (1a) weak physical, psychological, and social images of women (1b) passivization and nominalization of women, (1c) women's work variety, (2a) women as a means to achieve goals, and (2b) hierarchical relationships between women and men.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan (1) citraan perempuan secara linguistik dalam buku teks bahasa Indonesia SMA dan (2) kedudukan perempuan dalam tatanan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis wacana kritis Fairclough. Data penelitian ini adalah kata, frasa, kalimat, dan gambar/ilustrasi yang menunjukkan citraan perempuan. Sementara sumber datanya adalah enam buku pelajaran bahasa Indonesia tingkat SMA yang bersumber dari dua penerbit, yakni Kementrian Kebudayaan dan Pendidikan serta Penerbit Erlangga. Data dianalisis menggunakan pembacaan kritis. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa (1a) citra fisik, psikologis, serta sosial perempuan yang lemah secara lingusitik (1b) pasivisasi dan nominalisasi perempuan secara linguistik, (1c) ragam pekerjaan perempuan linguistik, (2a) perempuan sebagai alat untuk mencapai tujuan, dan (2b) hubungan hierarkis perempuan dan laki-laki.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to get result about the effect of discovery learning assisted by real media to critical thinking and understanding science concept This studyis quasi experiment, the design of Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The technique for sampling is saturated sampling. Data analysis using t test. The conclusion is; (a) there are differences in critical thinking skills of students using discovery learning models assisted by media real with students by discovery learning models. (b) There are differences in understanding of concepts between students using discovery learning models assisted by media real with students by discovery learning models.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning berbantuan media benda nyata terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman konsep IPA. Metode yang digunakan quasi experiment dengan rancangan Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah sampling jenuh. Analisis data menggunakan Uji t. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah (a) terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa menggunakan model discovery learning berbantuan media benda nyata dengan siswa dengan model discovery learning dan (b) terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model discovery learning berbantuan media benda nyata dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model discovery learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the elements of context in speech in a cyberpragmatics perspective. This research approach is qualitative with virtual ethnographic type research. The research data is in the form of snippets of dialogue/conversations in podcasts. Meanwhile, the data source is a transcribed video podcast. The data was collected using the free-to-talk method and tapping techniques. This study uses Miles and Huberman's theory of activity flow data analysis and uses Dell Hymes' SPEAKING theory. This study found eight elements of context in the speech data. The elements are setting and scene, participants, purpose, act sequence, key, instrumentalities, norms of interaction and interpretation, and genre.
