Abstract

Meningkatnya kebutuhan energi listrik, berkurangnya produksi dan meningkatnya harga minyak, memacu banyak negara, termasuk Indonesia untuk mengurangi ketergantungan pada pada minyak dengan cara memanfaatkan energi panas bumi. Dari hasil survey dilaporkan bahwa di Indonesia terdapat 217 prospek panasbumi, yaitu di sepanjang jalur vulkanik mulai dari bagian Barat Sumatera, terus ke Pulau Jawa, Bali, Nusatenggara dan kemudian membelok ke arah utara melalui Maluku dan Sulawesi. Jika dihitung potensi daya yang dihasilkan mencapai ±27.000 MWe. Daya sebesar ini membuat Indonesia merupakan Negara yang memiliki 40% potensi panas bumi dunia, tetapi baru 3%. dari potensi panas bumi tersebut dimanfaatkan. Salah satu penelitian untuk mengetahui potensi sebaran panas bumi dilakukan di Desa Lombang Kecamatan Batang Batang Kabupaten Sumenep dengan menggunakan metode Geolistrik konfigurasi dipole-dipole dan Self Potensial (SP). Hasil penelitian dengan metode Geolistrik konfigurasi dipole-dipole menunjukkan bahwa letak air tanah berada pada kedalaman + 15 dan + 20 m di bawah permukaan tanah. Menurut teori gradient geothermal, semakin ke dalam pusat bumi, maka temperaturnya semakin tinggi pula. Demikian dengan prinsip hidrotermal yang seharusnya semakin ke bawah nilai resistivitas air semakin kecil karena konduktivitas air semakin besar. Dengan metode SP diperoleh sebaran data potensial daerah penelitian dengan nilai tertinggi mencapai 90 mV dan terendah -100 mV serta rata-ratanya 0,47 mV. Berdasarkan peta kontur isopotensial yang diperoleh dapat diinterpretasi bahwa daerah penelitian merupakan zona konduktif, yang diduga berasal dari mineral sulfida dalam fluida panas. Hal ini terindikasi dengan rendahnya nilai potensial yang terukur, yang secara numerik bernilai negatif dan aliran air panas dari reservoir cenderung mengalir dari barat ke timur. Dari kajian geologi, lokasi penelitian sama sekali tidak berhubungan dengan aktivitas geologi vulkanik. Panas bumi yang ada di area penelitian diklasifikasikan panas bumi low temperature karena suhunya tidak mencapai 125 °C. Panas bumi yang dihasilkan diduga disebabkan oleh adanya system geopressure.

Abstract

Coal exposure founded at Klatak Kebo Ireng village in Besuki Tulungagung precisely in the vicinity of the river. Energy needs is increasing so the coal used for one of alternative energy source that can be used by society. This study was conducted to determine of the potential distribution coal modeling on geological structure. Identification of coal structure is using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) 2005 it conducted because this method is more suitable for shallow of surveys. The location for taking data is around the river that showed to exposure. There are 5th lines of taken data with length about 50 until 100 meters. Data processing was done using of software Future series 2005. The data displayed with software in the color pattern to obtain based on the constant of dielectric and conductivity. The results of interpretation study are the data indicates that there is a coal on the overall trajectory. Only in 2nd track contain little of coal. The Coal layers are appear in processing the results of data is thickness about 6 at the top. In the area of study also found the cavity (cavity area) which contained of several tracks. On the bottom of the track there is a pattern of coal reddish of yellow color which indicates that material contains of minerals.

Abstract

Arkeologi mengarahkan kajian pada benda-benda peninggalan manusia yang bersifat material dan berhubungan dengan periode paling kuno dalam sejarah umat manusia. Candi badut merupakan peralihan gaya bangunan klasik dari Jawa tengah ke Jawa timur. Awal mulanya hanya berupa gundukan batu, reruntuhan dan tanah. Sehingga diperlukan metode geomagnetic untuk mengetahui struktur dan posisi arkeologi Candi Badut. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat magnetometer jenis proton procession magnetometer (PPM) selama satu hari dengan luasan daerah 3025 m2, serta titik pengukuran dibuat dengan jarak 2.5 m sehingga menghasilkan 418 titik pengukuran. Interpretasi dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan software surfer 10, magpick dan mag2dc. Hasil penelitian untuk interpretasi kualitatif diperoleh peta kontur anomali residual magnetik memiliki variasi nilai anomali antara -1000 nT - 800 nT. Kemungkinan nilai anomali tinggi diduga adalah candi induk dan pondasi pagar candi yang berada disebelah barat candi induk. Candi induk dan pagar candi terbuat dari batuan andesit. Untuk hasil interpretasi kuantitatif pada irisan AB didapatkan nilai suseptibilitas 0,613 pada batuan candi induk dengan kedalaman 3 m dan nilai suseptibilitas 0,23 pada pondasi pagar sebelah barat candi induk pada kedalaman 2 m.

Abstract

A Study on the development of an Testing Experiments model has been carried out which aims to improve the scientific abilities of students in the Physics Department. This study is motivated by the implementation of practicum that has almost no innovation, no change, always verifying patterned and less developing students' science process skills. The 4-D model RD approach was used to develop this practicum model. The instrument used is a handout that is equipped with a rubric as a practical guide and assessment guide. A total of 20 students were involved as research subjects. The results showed in general there was an increase in student scientific abilities. Of all the sub-abilities developed, the average percentage of achievement scores reached 60% in almost all sub-abilities after the 4th or 5th practicum or at the fourth or fifth week. However, there are sub-skills already reaching 60% in the 3rd practicum. Student and peer responses show that this practical model is better and more comprehensive in developing students' scientific abilities.

Abstract

West Java is one of the provinces in Indonesia with a high level of seismicity. During August 2024 alone, there have been 134 earthquakes with 23 earthquakes centered on land. The high seismicity on land is caused by the many faults on the mainland of West Java. This paper presents the results of research on fault patterns in mainland West Java from earthquake data from 1953 - 2023. The data of this research was obtained from the USGS, BMKG, GFZ, IRIS and Global CMT websites. The selected data is an earthquake with a magnitude of ≥ 5 SR and a depth of ≤ 40 km with an area boundary of 5°85 ́- 8°13 ́S and 106°74 ́- 108°76 ́ E. Using the Focal Mechanism Method, it can be found that the fault pattern that causes earthquakes in West Java in 1953-2023 is 5 reverse fault, 2 Normal fault, and 1 Strike-slip Fault. The results of this research are expected to be used as material for the preparation of earthquake disaster mitigation in West Java.
