Obesity was an abnormal condition due to the excess accumulation of fat in adipose tissue. The increasing prevalence of obesity impacted on various cardiovascular diseases. Common cardiovascular risk was blood pressure increase. The research purpose was to determine the comparison of MAP (mean arterial pressure) between general obesity and central obesity on male employees in the University of Lampung. Theresearchemployed comparative analytic method with cross sectional approach. The research was conducted in September-December 2016. The population was the male employees in the University of Lampung as many as 60 respondents. Samples were taken following the consecutive sampling technique. The results showed the samples were in the age group 40 – 49 years of age (51.7%). The mean value for MAP on respondents with central obesity averaged to 108.22 mmHg and respondents with general obesity averaged to 95.56 mmHg with a difference of 12.67 mmHg. The Student’s t test results in comparingthe MAP between general obesity and central obesity was significant at p = 0.001. There were differences of MAP between general obesity and central obesity in male employees at the University of Lampung.
