Abstract

Work completion time is one of the main factors of successful implementation in a construction project. A job that experiences delays in completion on a project will greatly impact the budget that has been planned before. Not only in cash flow but can also result in unwanted cost overruns. Time management is an essential part of any project activity, where time is one of the resources for work that must be managed properly and efficiently. The potential for waste and project failure will be more likely to occur without good time management. Therefore, there is a need for time management on well-managed projects. In this study, we will discuss how time management in the project, what important things are in time management on the project and investigate what obstacles are often encountered in project control. The method used in this study is qualitative research methods with descriptive analysis techniques and using library research. The result of this study is that we can find out what are the scopes in time management on projects, where the discussion refers to PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge).

Abstract

The development of construction in Indonesia today there are still many problems that occur in the implementation of construction. One of them is the problem of project cost budget. Project budget problems are often a failure factor where the cost increase is large and detrimental if the planning process is wrong.  Moreover, errors in project cost management can cause project termination due to lack of funds or cost overrun.  The development and innovation of the construction world today introduces Building Information Modeling (BIM) as a solution to overcome various problems in the construction sector that occur today.  This study used qualitative research methods with descriptive analysis techniques and library research.  The results of this study explain that Building Information Modeling (BIM) can be applied to all fields of construction work, both new projects and renovation projects.

Abstract

One effort to avoid repetitive work due to errors in construction project planning can be detected from the start by implementing BIM (Building Information Modeling) which can carry out collision analysis (Clash detection) in each discipline of structural work, architecture, MEP and other disciplines. Before the existence of BIM, clashes that occurred in the building construction process were one of the factors causing work costs to increase. So implementing Building Information Modeling is one effort to avoid these problems. In this research, clash detection analysis will be carried out in the PUT Lab building in the structural, architectural and MEP work disciplines. The stages carried out in this research were first carrying out 3D Modeling using Autodesk Revit software on the PUT Lab building, then carrying out clash detection analysis using Autodesk Naviswork software and calculating the cost budget plan for each job affected by clash detection. After carrying out clash detection, clashes can be found that occur in the structural, architectural and MEP work disciplines which after calculating the budget plan can save work costs of up to 80 million rupiah.

Abstract

Recent building construction projects increasingly prioritize the integration of architectural (design) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) aspects as key elements to achieve effective and sustainable projects. This study aims to explore the close relationship between architecture and MEP in building construction projects and how integrating the two can provide optimal results. This article discusses the important role of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology in supporting the integration of architecture and MEP. BIM enables architecture and MEP professionals to work collaboratively in an integrated virtual environment, facilitating monitoring, coordination, and early identification of design conflicts. The results showed that effective use of BIM can create more efficient projects in terms of planning, execution, and maintenance. In addition, the study explores planning strategies that support the integration of architecture and MEP, including the selection of environmentally friendly materials, optimal spatial design, and energy efficiency. Comprehensive, sustainable planning can reduce environmental impact, reduce energy consumption, and reduce long-term operating costs. Project control in the context of architectural integration and MEP is also the focus of this study, with emphasis on construction quality monitoring, cost control and risk management. The success of a project often depends on careful control of these aspects. Therefore, this research provides insight into the integration of architecture and MEP in building construction projects and shows how this comprehensive approach can improve efficiency, sustainability, and sustainability as well as overall project outcomes.

Abstract

In the process of achieving goals, projects have characteristics called triple constraints, including specific target time, cost, and performance requirements. The delay in the completion process in a project is what will disrupt the triple constraint which has an impact on waste. One of the reasons is that the project still uses conventional methods. This research was conducted to provide information related to conventionally designed scheduling and with the implementation of Building Infortmation Modeling (BIM), namely using several supporting software including, Naviswork, Microsoft Project and Revit at the scheduling stage of multi-storey buildings, namely at the PNJ PUT Laboratory Building. The results showed that the elaboration of scheduling planning using BIM is more efficient, easy to understand, and provides a visualization of the construction sequence and avoids waste. Then, some of the percentage of waste obtained if using conventional methods is, around 10% on materials, 40% of projects are over budget, 30% of projects are reworked, and almost 90% of projects are delayed. Thus, the implementation of BIM in project scheduling is very important to overcome things that can harm a project.

Abstract

In general, each construction project has a planned completion time with a set scheduling so that the project can run well. Indonesia is trying to develop infrastructure and public facilities such as the MRT Building Construction Project. This research was conducted at the MRT HUB Building Construction Project Simpang Temu Dukuh Atas Jalan Kendal No. 25, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Special Capital Region of Jakarta 10310 at PT. PP (Persero), Tbk This research aims to obtain factors that cause project delays. This research uses the concept of lean six sigma with the DMAIC phase (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). After being identified, the construction experienced delays in work completion caused by several factors such as overpurchase, delay, and inventories. Lean six sigma helps in finding solutions to minimize delays including not buying goods excessively so as not to cause delays so that workers can work properly without having to wait for the area to be worked on.
