Abstract

Lampu merupakan komponen utama dalam sistem penerangan. Pemilihan lampu yang tepat merupakan hal penting dalam perancangan ruang kerja. Sistem penerangan yang sesuai akan meningkatkan produktivitas kerja. Karakteritik lampu pijar dipengaruhi oleh tegangan sumber dan umur lampu. Semakin tinggi daya lampu maka intensitas penerangan yang dihasilkan makin besar pula.

Abstract

A coastal area is a transition area between sea and land. The development of the coastal area is influenced by the pressure of human activities and phenomena that occur both on land and sea. The condition is illustrated in the Kutawaru Beach, Bantul District. Kutawaru Beach has a unique nature mainly the pine trees and culinary. However, the behavior of people may endanger the natural condition at this area. The aim of this study is to examine the behavior of coastal communities relates to the environmental damage in Kutawaru Beach and the impact on social and economic aspect. A mixed method was applied by using sequential explanatory design. Selection of the sample is completed by purposive sampling ongovernment and fishermen groups. The results show that the behavior of coastal communities has lead to the environment degradation and it is very influential in decreasing the welfare of society. This research also found that the people's behavior is very much influenced by the little level of education and low awareness on the coastal region of Kutawaru Beach. Local government should work together with the local community to save Kutawaru Beach from environmental damage caused by the behavior of the people themselves.

Abstract

Fishermen's occupational health and safety is very important. Neglect of safety tends to increase economic and environmental costs such as decreased production, medical costs, pollution and inefficient energy use. The aim of this study was to describe the level of knowledge about fishermen's occupational health and safety. The study involved 40 fishermen in Jeruklegi Wetan Village, Jeruklegi District, Cilacap Regency. Conducted with a survey method by distributing questionnaires and interviews. Fishermen's occupational health and safety. Based on the research that most were in the poor category, namely 20 people or 50% and good and enough categories respectively, namely 10 people or 25%.

Abstract

Penggunaan pompa sebagian besar sebagai penggerak, conveyor, mesin press, elevator dan lainnya. Motor induksi yang paling banyak dipergunakan karena mesin induksi kuat, kokok dan mudah perawatannya serta efisiensi pada daya cukup tinggi. Permasalahan yang sering terjadi pada setiap electro motor adalah kerusakan mekanis seperti over-current (arus lebih), mechanical failure (kerusakan mekanis), tahanan isolasi yang rendah, pelumasan yang kurang, getaran berlebih, misalignment, umur motor dan faktor lain dalam operasi motor induksi, Data diperoleh melalui peneltian field research observasi langsung pada objek yang diteliti. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara observasi di KM. Dharma Kartika IX. Berdasarkan hasil peneitian bahwa kerusakan pada komponen electro motor disebabkan oleh beberapa hal di antaranya arus lebih, kerusakan mekanis, tahanan isolasi yang rendah dan kelebihan panas.

Abstract

Problems that arise in the engine electro motor is mechanical damage that can be caused by many things such as mechanical damage, more current, low resistance low insulation and less lubrication, excess vibration and not draw, misalignment, natural aging process and factors due to the operating pattern of the induction motor, damage that occurs in the induction motor. Data is collected through Field Research, a direct review of the objects studied. Data collected through Observation (Direct Method) researchers make direct observations about objects studied on the SHIP KM. DHARMA KARTIKA IX. Must be done maintenance of electro motor components that is by checking the electro motor components and panels.

Abstract

Energy needs are one of the reasons why research on renewable energy is the choice. One of the renewable energies is OTEC (ocean thermal energy conversion) with sea surface heat being an energy source and boilers being a medium for converting heat energy into motion energy so that in the end it becomes electrical energy. Boilers are a vital part of a generator, so boiler testing is a requirement for a generator. The research was carried out by experiment by testing the boiler with various temperatures and pressures so as to produce output power. The results show that temperature and pressure are highly correlated with output power. The application of OTEC shows that temperature and pressure are things that must be considered, the higher the surface temperature, the greater the output power.

Abstract

The issue of renewable energy is something that has often been discussed, especially since oil reserves are running low, the electricity supply that is indispensable for the sustainable development of infrastructure. One of the renewable energy sources is the marine thermal energy conversion system (OTEC). Renewable energy in time will become the mainstay of national and world energy because in fifty years an energy crisis may occur. OTEC's energy sources are re-emerging because of fears that an energy crisis will occur. The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical model of the Popa OTEC design. The OTEC design is inseparable from the plumbing device, both cold water pipes, warm water and NH3 water. This research is a mathematical model of pipe design in a marine thermal power plant. The research begins with a literature review, namely previous research on OTEC (oceans thermal energy coversion). The results of the research are the determination of the diameter formula used to determine the pipe diameter, for cold seawater, warm seawater and NH3 or ammonia pipes. The design can be used to determine the variable diameter of the pipe with variations in discharge and flow velocity.
