ABSTRAK Pendahuluan: Berbagai pilihan produk bracket dan kawat ortodonti tersedia di pasaran sehingga ortodontis harus cermat memilih produk yang digunakan. Ukuran tinggi slot bracket dan diameter kawat pada label kemasan dapat berbeda dengan ukuran sebenarnya, sehingga dapat mempengaruhi pergerakan gigi selama perawatan ortodonti. Tujuan penelitian menganalisis keakuratan ukuran tinggi slot bracket dan diameter kawat gigi produk 3M/Unitek, Ormco, dan Dentaurum. Metode: Jenis penelitian Observasi laboratorik analitik dengan rancangan potong lintang. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 bracket gigi insisif atas slot 0.022 inci dan 45 kawat ukuran 0,019 x 0,025 inci merek 3M/Unitek, Ormco, dan Dentaurum. Pengukuran tinggi slot bracket dan diameter kawat ortodonti dilakukan menggunakan Mikroskop Stereoskop Discovery V12 disertai perangkat komputer. Hasil: Nilai rerata ukuran tinggi slot bracket Ormco hasil pengukuran adalah 0,488 mm, 3M/Unitek adalah 0,491 mm, Dentaurum adalah 0,538 mm. Simpang baku nilai rerata tinggi slot bracket adalah 0,001 inci. Nilai rerata ukuran diameter kawat hasil pengukuran Ormco berupa tinggi kawat adalah 0,413 mm dan lebar kawat adalah 0,496 mm, nilai rerata ukuran diameter kawat 3M/Unitek berupa tinggi kawat adalah 0,413 mm dan lebar kawat adalah 0,500 mm, nilai rerata ukuran diameter kawat Dentaurum berupa tinggi kawat adalah 0,419 mm dan lebar kawat adalah 0,510 mm. Perbedaan rerata antara hasil pengukuran diameter (lebar) dan tinggi kawat ortodonti dan ukuran pada label kemasan berbeda signifikan. Simpulan: Terdapat perbedaan rerata ukuran tinggi slot bracket dan diameter kawat ortodonti produk 3M/Unitek, Ormco, dan Dentaurum pada hasil pengukuran dengan ukuran yang tertera pada kemasan. The bracket slot height and the wire diameter on the package label may differ from the actual size, affecting tooth movement during orthodontic treatment. The purpose of the study was to analyse the accuracy of the bracket slots height and the wire diameter of 3M/Unitek, Ormco, and Dentaurum brands. Methods: This research was analytical laboratory observations with a cross-sectional design. The research sample consisted of 30 maxillary incisor brackets with 0.022-inch slots and 45 wires measuring 0.019 x 0.025 inches of 3M/Unitek, Ormco, and Dentaurum brands. The measurement of bracket slot height and orthodontic wire diameter was conducted using a Discovery V12 Stereoscope Microscope and related software. Results: The mean value of Ormco slot height measurement results was 0.488 mm, 3M/Unitek was 0.491 mm, and Dentaurum was 0.538 mm. The standard deviation of the mean slot bracket height was 0.001 inches. The average value of wire diameter of Ormco in the form of wire height was 0.413 mm, and the wire width was 0.496 mm; the wire height of 3M/Unitek was 0.413 mm, and the wire width was 0.500 mm; the wire height of Dentaurum was 0.419 mm, and the wire width was 0.510 mm. The mean difference between the diameter width and height measurements of orthodontic wire and the size on the packaging label was significantly different. Conclusions: There is a difference in the mean size of the bracket slot height and the orthodontic wire diameter of 3M/Unitek, Ormco, and Dentaurum brands, between the measurement results and the product knowledge.Keywords: bracket slot height; wire diameter; stereoscopic microscope
