Pencapaian kompetensi siswa dalam mata pelajaran Fisika di kelas XI IAÂ SMA N 1 Kecamatan Suliki Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota belum mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimum (KKM). Penyebabnya adalah proses penilaian belum sesuai dengan standar penilaian. Oleh karena itu, permasaalahan ini diatasi dengan memberikan assessment essay dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Mei dan Juni 2011 di SMA N 1 Kecamatan Suliki Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IAÂ sebanyak 4 kelas, dan sampel adalah kelas XI IA 2 dan XI IA 3. Kelas eksperimen adalah kelas XI IA.2 dan kelas kontrol adalah kelas XI IA.3. Data penelitian ini adalah pencapaian kompetensi kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor siswa. Data pencapaian kompetensi kognitif dikumpulkan melalui ulangan harian dengan soal berbentuk tes essay. Data pencapaian kompetensi afektif dan psikomotor dikumpulkan melalui kusioner. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t, uji U Mann Whitney, dan uji Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian kompetensi kognitif siswa secara rata-rata pada kelas eksperimen adalah 58,67 dan pada kelas kontrol adalah 34,39. Pencapaian kompetensi afektif siswa secara rata-rata pada kelas eksperimen adalahÂ 72,53 dan pada kelas kontrol adalahÂ 74,88. Pencapaian kompetensi psikomotor siswa secara rata-rata pada kelas eksperimen adalah 77,67 dan pada kelas kontrol adalah 75,89. Hasil uji U terhadap pencapaian kompetensi kognitif siswa adalah nilai z = -5,00 denganÂ Î± = 0,05, dan peluang (p) nilai z = - 5,00 adalah < 0,0003 (dari tabel A). Karena nilai p < Î± maka kesimpulannya adalahÂ terdapat pengaruh pemberian assessment essayÂ dalamÂ pembelajaran Fisika menggunakan pendekatan ekspositori dan inkuiri terhadap pencapaian kompetensi kognitif siswa. Hasil uji-t terhadap pencapaian kompetensi afektif siswa adalah thitung (-1,613) < ttabel (2,005). Oleh karena itu, kesimpulannya adalah tidak adaÂ pengaruh pemberian assessment essayÂ dalamÂ pembelajaran Fisika menggunakan pendekatan ekspositori dan inkuiri terhadap pencapaian kompetensi afektif siswa. Hasil uji-t terhadap pencapaian kompetensi psikomotor siswa adalah thitung (1,38) < ttabel (1,67). Oleh karena itu kesimpulannya adalah tidak ada pengaruh pemberian assessment essayÂ dalamÂ pembelajaran Fisika menggunakan pendekatan ekspositori dan inkuiri terhadap pencapaian kompetensi psikomotorÂ siswa. Hasil uji anova terhadap pencapaian kompetensi kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor siswa adalah sama dengan hasil uji U dan uji-t di atas. The development of science and information technology has an impact on the emergence of various sources of learning. The development of learning resources will be better if it utilizes technology (digital form), so that it is more effective and efficient in use, for example, digital books (e-books). Currently, there are still many e-books in circulation without regard to the needs of students. The basic of education has described various components of the needs of students in learning. A good e-book is a learning resource that meets the basic components of educational science. For this reason, it is necessary to find out whether the e-books that are circulating are in accordance with the various needs of students in the components of the basic of educator science. The solution to this problem is to analyze the extent to which e-books meet the basic components of educational science. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population data in this study is a physics e-book for high school. The sample in this study were eight physics e-books used in learning physics in high school. The data in this study were taken using a research instrument that has 7 components which are broken down into 22 assessment indicators and data collection techniques used are through observation. The results of this study indicate that the average suitability obtained for each component of the educational science basic in physics e-book 1 has a value of 100% with a very complete category. In e-book physics 2 has a value of 57% with enough categories. In e-book physics 3 with a value of 71% with a complete category. In physics e-book 4 with a value of 86% with a very complete category. In physics e-book 5 with a value of 43% with a very sufficient category. In physics e-book 6 with a value of 57% with a very sufficient category. Finally, in physics e-book 7 and physics e-book, 8 with the same value of 100% with a very complete category meets the basic components of educational science

Physics is a branch of natural science that studies natural phenomena. The earthquake was one Â of the natural disasters that often hit the city of Padang. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of independence of student activity sheet integrated physics material for earthquake disaster mitigation based on a virtual laboratory. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Qualitative method is a method used to get data that contains meaning. The instrument in this study was the student questionnaire. The student questionnaire consisted of a questionnaire of independence, learning style, and earthquake disaster mitigation. The results of the independence questionnaire showed that the independence of students in the physics learning process was not optimal, the learning style of students was more dominant with the visual learning style, and the earthquake disaster mitigation of students was not optimal. So that the development of the student activity sheet based on a virtual laboratory is carried out

Facing the era of globalization, government then developed the 2013 curriculum. The characteristics of the 2013 curriculum were designed with the aim of creating students who meet 21st century competencies that emphasize the ability to think. To achieve that, all 2013 curriculum suggest discovery learning model. This model can be integrated in e-book teaching materials. This study aims to describe the characteristics of students as e-book users and the results of the analysis will be a reference in the development of e-book Physics High School based on discovery learning models. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with data collection instruments in the form of a student questionnaire consisting of four characteristics of students namely independence of learning, interest, motivation and learning style. From the results of the analysis it can be illustrated that students have a low level of independence, interest and motivation and the most dominant learning style is visual. These results indicate that the development of high school physics e-books based on discovery learning needs to be done by considering the learning style aspects when designing

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is very possible for information systems to be able to convert the printed form to electronic form. These advantages can be used to develop an e-book as a media in learning Physics. This e-book is an ICT-based electronic media that can be used as a learning media. The purpose of this study is to describe the results of an analysis of media needs in schools, as a stage of initial investigation in the development of an e-book with the theme of coastal abrasion. This research used a descriptive method. The research subjects were the population of the students of SMAN 1 UlakanTapakis with the sample selected using a simple random sampling technique. The data from this study are primary data obtained through a questionnaire with data collection techniques using the Likert scale 1-4. The data analysis technique is in the form of descriptive statistics. The results of the analysis of media needs obtained an average percentage of 45.02% which was included in the category of lacking. On the other hand, the issue of coastal abrasion needs to be considered especially for students who live on the coast. For this reason, an instructional media in the form of an integrated abrasion beach is needed

This study aims to see the level of validity and practicality of the development e-modulses using the guided inquiry model. Research conducted using meta-analysis reasearch. Data collection techniques are carried out by searching journals, theses, scemes, scientific articles related to e-modules and guided inquiry models through the internet. The sample used was 10 data related to the development of e-modules using the guided inquiry model. The results of this meta-analysis study found that the level of validity for the development of e-modules using the guided inquiry model in all four aspects of validity was valid with an average validy on the content aspect was 0,85 with a valid category, presenting 0,84 valid categories, language 0,83 valid categories, grafic 0,71 valid caategories. Â The level of practicality of educators in the development of e-modules using guided inquiry models obtained an average of 0,44 in the medium category, while the practicality of learners on average results was 0,67 with a high category. The development of guided inquiry-based e-modules can be caategoriezed as valid and practical, so, for the development of e-modules using the guided inquiry model in physics learning can be continued to the next stage, namely the effectiveness test

The ability to learn in the 4.0 revolution is still worrying. the lack of professional teachers to improve student needs, the learning system implements LOTS learning instead of Hots, the lack of teachers using IT in learning. The use of media is still simple. The method used is a meta-analysis of quantitative approaches through the calculation and analysis of data already in the article. The number of samples taken using six articles related to video from 2013-2018. Data analysis was performed using the sice effectuses a meta-analysis of four articles related to video. the number of samples taken using four articles starting from 2013-2017. Analytical techniques that use a quantitative approach effect sizes. from the video results obtained 1.47 with a very high category. the video had a major impact on students' heutagogy in learning physics

Interactive multimedia provides a very important role in the learning process because using interactive multimedia can motivate students to learn so that ultimately learning objectives can be achieved as desired and can help students in facing educational challenges in the era of industrial globalization 4.0. This research was conducted with a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of interactive multimedia to improve learning outcomes, scientific literacy, and critical thinking skills of students in facing the challenges of education in the era of industrial globalization 4.0. The sample in this study was 5 (five) national journals that used interactive multimedia at the junior and senior high school level. The results of this study are: 1) interactive multimedia is most effectively used to improve student learning outcomes at the junior high school level; 2) interactive multimedia is most effectively used to improve students' critical thinking skills at the high school level, and 3) interactive multimedia is more effectively used at the junior secondary level and not at the senior secondary level in facing educational challenges in the era of industrial globalization 4.0

Education is one of the main drivers of national development. The future of Indonesia will be determined by the generation of it is people with character and quality. Improving the quality of education can be realized if students and teachers a like try to improve competence and skills to be able to compete in the 21st century. Physics learning requires learners to develop 21st century skills. Practical books are guides that can help students in physics experiment. One learning model that fits the demands of the 21st century is Discovery Learning. Through this model, students can find their own concepts so that the understanding that is obtained lasts long in their memories, also students are easier to understand existing concepts. Physics learning requires students to do more experiments and research. The reality that is found, there is still a lack of physics practical books, so physics is only theoretically studied. Students have not found a real concept. Experiment equipment is not available optimally. This study aims to survey the analysis of the need for teaching materials in the form of books in schools that are needed in physics experiment. This type of research is descriptive analysis, data taken in this study were obtained from interviews with educators and students and direct observation. The research instrument consisted of questionnaire and observation sheet. The results of this study prove that it is necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of practical books based on discovery learning models assisted by Science KIT Lab as implementation of Indonesiaâ€™s future education
