Abstract

Research and community service are part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education that must be carried out by a lecturer. In fact, the Government has provided funds for lecturers to carry out research and community service. However, low motivation, interest, and knowledge in writing are some of the reasons why lecturers do not write proposals. Therefore, the community service team conducted training on writing research and community service proposals for lecturers at the Syaikhona Kholil Islamic Economics and Business College, Pasuruan. The training was conducted using lecture and direct practice methods, and was divided into three sessions. The evaluation results showed that 100% of participants stated that the material presented was in accordance with the needs of the participants and the strategies used in the training were very effective. This activity had a positive impact on lecturers' motivation in writing proposals. In addition, knowledge and ability in using the Zotero reference manager also increased, making it easier for STEIBI Syaikhona Kholil lecturers to write references both in proposals and in scientific articles.

Abstract

Farmers still do not really understand how to diagnose problems in plants, one example is strawberry farmers. This is proven by several farmers and strawberry plant cultivators, not all of whom can understand the disease where there are various types of diseases that can attack strawberry plants with almost the same symptoms , and if a farmer or cultivator is wrong in handling the type of strawberry plant disease, it is not impossible that it will cause the strawberry plant to die. Strawberry farmers need a tool to diagnose strawberry plant diseases so that they can find out the condition of the strawberry plants. Therefore, an expert system was created to diagnose diseases in strawberry plants and find solutions to deal with the damage that occurs. The system built for diagnosing diseases in strawberry plants uses the Forward Chaining method. Forward chaining is a forward tracking that starts from a set of facts by looking for rules that match the existing hypothesis towards a conclusion. In its implementation, this system has met these objectives by using a database and rule base. The system draws conclusions based on existing facts using the forward chaining method, the search starts from the facts from which new conclusions are obtained, the existing rules are traced one by one until the search is stopped because the last condition has been met.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the creativity and independence of students through social activities such as the distribution of free food to the community around the campus. Student involvement in this program is designed to provide practical experience in planning, organizing, and implementing social activities that have a positive impact. Students involved in this program not only learn about the importance of empathy and social responsibility but also develop managerial, communication, and creativity skills. Through a participatory approach, students are encouraged to identify community needs, design innovative solutions, and implement them independently. The results of this program show that students actively participating in these social activities experience significant improvements in creativity and independence. Additionally, this program successfully strengthens the relationship between students and the surrounding community, creating a beneficial synergy for both parties. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating social activities into higher education curricula as an effort to equip students with relevant skills to face future challenges. Thus, this mentoring program not only provides direct benefits to the community receiving assistance but also shapes students' character and capabilities more comprehensively.

Abstract

Scientific publication is one of the essential competencies for students in developing scientific knowledge and academic competitiveness. However, many final-year students at Muria Kudus University still face difficulties in writing and publishing scientific papers. To address this issue, this community service activity was carried out through a workshop based on Participatory Action Research (PAR), which actively involved students in discussions, hands-on practice, and intensive mentoring in scientific writing. The stages of the activity included problem identification, strategy planning, workshop implementation, and program effectiveness evaluation. A post-workshop survey showed that 85% of participants understood proper scientific writing techniques, 72% were able to prepare manuscripts according to journal standards, and 60% were ready to submit their manuscripts for publication. These findings indicate that the PAR approach is effective in improving students' understanding and skills in writing and publishing scientific papers. Through this workshop, it is expected that students will become more confident in producing high-quality scientific works and contributing to academic publications.

Abstract

Guru IPA di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) seringkali menghadapi keterbatasan dalam menyajikan praktikum kimia yang menarik dan kontekstual, terutama terkait pemanfaatan bahan alam. Kurangnya pelatihan dan sumber daya membuat pembelajaran kimia terkesan abstrak dan kurang aplikatif. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan pembuatan produk sederhana berbasis kimia bahan alam dirancang untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan praktikum yang inovatif dan relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan pemahaman guru tentang prinsip kimia bahan alam, (2) melatih guru membuat produk sederhana (seperti sabun, lilin, atau ekstrak essensial) dari bahan alam, dan (3) mendorong penerapan praktikum berbasis proyek (PjBL) di kelas. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk workshop hybrid (luring dan daring) selama dua hari, meliputi: (1) penyampaian materi kimia bahan alam dan keselamatan kerja, (2) demonstrasi pembuatan produk, (3) praktik mandiri oleh peserta dengan pendampingan, serta (4) evaluasi melalui diskusi dan kuesioner. Peserta terdiri dari 30 guru IPA SMA dari berbagai daerah. Peserta berhasil membuat produk berbahan alam. Selain itu, peserta menyatakan kesiapan untuk menerapkan praktikum serupa di sekolah mereka. Pelatihan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan guru karena menggabungkan pendekatan teoritis dan praktik langsung. Produk yang dihasilkan juga mudah direplikasi di sekolah dengan biaya rendah. Tantangan utama adalah ketersediaan bahan alam yang bervariasi di tiap daerah, sehingga perlu disusun modul alternatif berbasis bahan lokal. Kegiatan ini berhasil memberdayakan guru IPA SMA untuk mengintegrasikan kimia bahan alam ke dalam pembelajaran. Dampak jangka panjangnya adalah peningkatan minat siswa terhadap kimia melalui praktikum yang aplikatif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Asia Tenggara merupakan kawasan yang kaya akan keberagaman budaya yang terbentuk dari interaksi berbagai suku, ras, dan pengaruh peradaban luar. Artikel ini membahas peran budaya dalam pembentukan identitas regional di Asia Tenggara, dengan menyoroti aspek bahasa, kepercayaan, kuliner, seni, arsitektur, serta nilai sosial yang menjadi ciri khas kawasan ini. Berdasarkan studi literatur, ditemukan bahwa budaya Melayu menjadi akar utama budaya di Asia Tenggara, dengan pengaruh kuat dari Tiongkok, India, dan Islam. Identitas regional yang terbentuk dari kesamaan budaya ini berperan dalam memperkuat rasa persatuan dan kebersamaan di antara negara-negara ASEAN. Pemahaman mendalam mengenai budaya di kawasan ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat integrasi sosial dan menjaga keberagaman sebagai aset penting dalam dinamika global.

Abstract

This research discusses the development of teaching materials needed in the world of education. This research uses a skinative research method with secondary data methods, namely through literature studies. Teaching materials are one of the most important components in the learning process, and can help students learn more easily. Instruction consists of two categories: printed instructions and non-printed instructions. One type of printed teaching material is textbooks. Teaching materials can be defined as any type of material used to help teachers or instructors carry out teaching and learning activities in the classroom. Print teaching materials through the media of books, handouts, maps, magazines, etc. Non-print teaching materials audio programs, display teaching materials, overhead transparencies (OHT) models, videos and computer-assisted teaching materials. Knowledge of teaching materials is needed so that students can apply it in the form of product development or research related to teaching materials. In learning biology, delivery requires teaching material media as a lat in channeling knowledge.

Abstract

Increased fuel consumption of oil has an impact on the energy crisis. Biogasolin is an alternative fuel from vegetable oil that has the potential to overcome this problem. One of the methods used to produce biogasoline is the catalytic string method. Such methods generally use a catalyst to help speed up reactions. The use of catalysts in the cracking process is increasingly diverse. In this review article will compare the biogasoline percent value between several types of catalysts focused on zeolite and zeolite catalysts that are modified with metal, including the general picture of the arrest of the material, type and characteristics of the zeolite catalyst, operating conditions, and ways of performance of each catalyst. Zeolite catalyst which is a heterogeneous catalyst is considered to have good ability in selectivity, activity, and ease of modification so that it is very influential on the cracking results. Some zeolite catalysts modified with metals such as nimo/zeolite; Zn/HZSM-5; Cu/HZSM-5; Ni/HZSM-5; MO/HZSM-5; HZSM-5; PD/HZSM-5; PT/HZSM-5; Zn/Na-ZSM-5; Ni/ZSM-5; Ni/mnz; Co-NI/HZSM-5 and each biogasoline is obtained at 11.93%; 28.38%; 17.55%; 32-37%; 9-23%; 30.2%; 32-41%; 11.73% are reportedly able to provide performance to improve biogasoline results and certainly become a new catalyst that is useful in the scientific world

Abstract

The service sector in Indonesia faces various operational challenges, including digitalisation, shifting customer needs, and increasingly intense competition. These challenges also open up the potential for abuse of authority, which can negatively impact organisational performance. This study aims to analyse the influence of transformational leadership on organisational performance, with organisational culture as a mediating variable. The object of the study is service companies in Indonesia, with a total of 216 respondents working in the fields of accounting or strategic financial management. This quantitative study was analysed using SPSS version 25. The findings indicate that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on organisational performance, yet it does not have a significant impact on organisational culture. Meanwhile, organisational culture has a positive and significant effect on organisational performance. However, organisational culture was not statistically proven to mediate the relationship between transformational leadership and organisational performance.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi didorong oleh kebutuhan dan permintaan perubahan dalam kehidupan manusia. Internet telah merambah sektor kehidupan manusia serta memberikan kotribusi dalam semua bidang. Melalui internet kita dapat mengakses berbagai literatur dan referensi ilmu pengetahuan yang dibutuhkan dengan cepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang dan menerapkan media jaringan internet menggunakan fiber optik. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode pengembangan (research and development). Adapun tahap pengembangan meliputi tahap analisa, tahap perancangan, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap uji coba. Berdasarkan hasil analisis pada media fiber optik memiliki banyak keuntungan yang signifikan, baik dalam hal kecepatan, stabilitas, kapasitas, maupun kemudahan akses internet. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan maka sebuah implementasi jaringan internet menggunakan fiber optik ini digunakan di Pondok Pesantren Bumi Shalawat.
