Abstract

16 Ilir Pier is one of the river ports in South Sumatra Province. The Palembang-Air Salek route is one of the routes located at 16 IlirPier. The average number of trips per day on the PalembangAir Salek route is three trips. However, the operation of ships at 16 IlirPier is not matched with ideal facilities so that many ship operators suffer losses because the ships operating exceed the number of requests for transportation. The time needed to sail on the Palembang-Air Salek route is 135 minutes. This study uses several analytical methods to overcome these problems, including loading factor analysis, passenger growth prediction analysis, analysis of the need for the number of ships, and analysis of ship schedules. The results of the analysis show that the average load factor of the longboat for 15 survey days operating at 16 IlirPier is 50%, the number of ship's average departure frequency requirements for 2021 is 4 trips, Scheduling of planned longboat arrivals and departures based on service time analysis results, namely a sailing time of 135 minutes and a layover time of 84 minutes with a total of 2 ships/day. From this analysis, it is known thatthe number of longboats operating at 16 Ilir Pier carrying passengers on the Palembang-Air Salek route is not in accordance with the number of requests from service users, so a reduction must be made to the number of longboat fleets operating per day for the Palembang-Air Salek route.

Abstract

Auxiliary Engine is an engine in which air is compressed to a high enough temperature to ignite diesel fuel injected into the cylinder, where combustion and emission drive pistons which convert the chemical energy in the fuel into mechanical energy. Good fogging is needed in diesel engines, in order to get maximum power. The condition of the injectors on the Auxiliary Engine greatly affects the condition of the Auxiliary Engine itself. The presence of injector damage can affect the operating conditions of the Auxiliary Engine, so the condition of the injectors must always be maintained. The research method that the author uses in the preparation of this thesis is a qualitative research method as a data analysis technique to analyze the problems that exist in the Auxiliary Engine, namely what factors cause injector damage to the Auxiliary Engine, the impact and what efforts are made to overcome these factors. Of these problems by systematically identifying various factors on human factors, environment, methods, machines to formulate strategies to be taken. Based on the results of research that has been done by the author on the ship KMP. PORTLINK, it can be concluded that the damage to the injector on the Auxiliary Engine is caused by two factors, namely the high operational schedule of the ship, and the infrequent maintenance of the Auxiliary Engine injector and the use of inappropriate fuel. To overcome these factors, maintenance can be carried out according to PMS time, as well as good filtering on low-quality fuel. Based on the results of research that has been done by the author on the ship KMP. PORTLINK, it can be concluded that the damage to the injector on the Auxiliary Engine is caused by a clogged nozzle and looseness in the injector component.

Abstract

The role of fire detection tools is very helpful in preventing fire hazards in MV. Soemantri Brodjonegoro, on this basis, the author formulates the problem of the extent of the ship's crew's knowledge of fire detection tools and how to maintain fire detection tools in MV. Soemantri Brodjonegoro. The method used in this study is a qualitative method that produces descriptive data in the form of written words from people and observed behaviors. In this case, collecting data in the form of an approach to the object through observation, direct interviews with the subject. Based on the results of research and discussion of problems carried out by the author during the practice of screening in MV. Soemantri Brodjonegoro regarding the role of fire detection devices found problems in the role of fire detection devices which include the lack of knowledge of ship crews about fire detection tools caused by the lack of implementation of new crew familiarization and the lack of implementation of safety meetings on ships. The discussion of the results of the study is to increase the ship crew's knowledge of fire detection equipment by means of maximum familiarization of the new crew and carry out safety meetings once a month, as well as improve the maintenance of fire detection equipment by means of good coordination between the ship and the company and increasing the responsibility of ship officers by checking fire detection equipment regularly. In this case, it is concluded that the lack of knowledge of the ship's crew and the maintenance of fire detection equipment can cause the malfunction of the tool properly, namely as a tool to detect fire hazards on board so that the fire detection tool can function properly to support shipping.

Abstract

Bungus Bay Ferry Port is a very important commercial port to connect the city of Padang with the Mentawai Islands via waterways. The ticket purchase process at Bungus Bay Ferry Port still uses a manual system, by queuing and waiting for a long time at the port counter, making it difficult for service users because there is no e-ticketing application or cashless method. This study aims to analyze the readiness of the perception of service users and port organizers if the use of the e-ticketing application is implemented in purchasing tickets at Bungus Bay Ferry Port, West Sumatra Province. This study uses a quantitative approach research type with analysis using a questionnaire method in the form of distributing digital questionnaires/google forms and interview methods as data collection tools and direct observation methods in the field. Based on the perception of service users and port organizers, the results of the readiness analysis were obtained, namely with a percentage of 84.8% of service users and 87.5% of port organizers having readiness in using the e-ticketing application at the Teluk Bungus Ferry Port.
