Abstract

Poetry is a series of words and lines created by the expression of feelings and thoughts that make up a literary work. To beautify the language of a poem, the style of language used must be clear. Joko Pinurbo is an Indonesian writer who creates various poems. The poetry he creates has a unique language characteristic, is simple and has deep allusions. This study aims to examine the style of language used in the poems by Joko Pinurbo. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative with the type of literature study. The source of data used in this research is Joko Pinurbo's poetry library. The poems studied were entitled “Pacar Senja”, “Selepas Usia 60”, and “Tukang Potret Keliling”, which were analyzed based on the phrases and figures of speech contained in them. The study of poetry is carried out with semiotics, namely a way of studying a poem by enjoying its markers. The results of the review of the three titles of Joko Pinurbo's poems above, it is stated that the three works contain symbols and symbols that have a specific purpose. The use of diction in his poems is quite simple as it is often used in everyday life and has a good sense of humor.

Abstract

This study intends to analyze Indonesian spelling errors in grade 9 students' experimental report texts. This research is also motivated by the many Indonesian spelling errors and students' spelling scores in the small test report text assessment criteria.  The method in this research is descriptive qualitative method.  The instruments used in this study were the text of the student's writing test report and the test report text assessment guidelines.  The data collection technique in this study was to look for sentences containing Indonesian spelling errors in the text of student experimental reports. The method of information analysis tried is reading, marking errors, analyzing, then formulating. Subject in this study was the experimental results of class 9D students at SMPN 1 Cikalongwetan, totaling 20 people.  The results of this study showed that out of 20 students in class 9D, 75% of the total number of students in 9D made a capital letter error.  Meanwhile, errors in writing capital letters at the beginning of a sentence reached 55% and errors in writing capital letters in the middle of a sentence reached 35%.  The conclusion of this study is that the cause of Indonesian spelling errors in the text of the class 9D experimental report at SMPN 1 Cikalongwetan is due to students' lack of understanding in Indonesian spelling and the lack of learning about Indonesian spelling in class.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya masalah siswa dalam menulis teks pidato persuasif. Faktor penyebab masalah tersebut siswa gagal memahami struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks pidato persuasif sebagai dampak dari pemilihan model pembelajaran yang belum inovatif. Dalam penelitian ini menguraikan hasil pembelajaran menulis teks pidato persuasif menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan media mind mapping. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan hasil belajar teks pidato persuasif menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning yang dilengkapi dengan mind mapping pada subjek sebanyak 34 siswa. Metode yang digunakan yakni deskriptif kualitatif serta pengumpulan data berdasarkan observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran teks bahasa persuasif menggunakan model discovery learning dengan mind mapping berjalan baik di kelas IX G SMPN 1 Margaasih sesuai hasil observasi siswa sebesar 93,7%. Hasil belajar siswa secara keseluruhan memperoleh skor total 85% dengan rincian struktur sebanyak 88%, kaidah kebahasaan 83%, kreativitas 79%, dan presentasi 92%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemilihan model dan media bisa menjadi solusi dari pembelajaran yang belum inovatif.
