Abstract

Agroforestry emerged as a result of land conversion problems caused by population growth. Conversion of forest land into agricultural land will result in climate change. In anticipating climate change, it is necessary to provide outreach activities to the community regarding the integration of agroforestry systems in land use. Integration between forestry crops and agricultural crops is seen as an appropriate method for reducing food scarcity while also providing environmental benefits. Agroforestry is primarily expected to help optimize the results of a form of sustainable land use in order to guarantee and improve people's living needs, and can increase the carrying capacity of human ecology, especially in rural areas. The implementation of an on-farm research-based agroforestry system is carried out on community land. The aim of the community service program is to resolve problems faced by partners by conducting outreach and training regarding the implementation of agroforestry systems to anticipate climate change. The expected impact of this program is that the community will have understanding and expertise in mitigating climate change through the integration of agroforestry systems. The method of implementing the service program is socialization, discussion and training with the community. The expected target of community service is increasing understanding of climate change mitigation through the implementation of agroforestry systems.

Abstract

This study was conducted to produce learning media in the form of learning videos used by teachers in learning activities. Teachers use learning media in the form of videos taken from YouTube. Because teachers do not have their own learning videos designed. Videos taken from YouTube also do not support the material delivered because the content of the material from the videos taken from YouTube is not in accordance with the learning objectives, namely the video does not describe the latest material that is in accordance with the student's handbook, as a result students find it difficult to understand the contents of the videos delivered by the teacher. The use of available learning media is very limited during the learning process. The media used during learning is still infocus. Therefore, other learning resources are needed to help students understand. One effort to facilitate the learning process is by having media in the form of learning videos. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of learning media in the form of learning videos on the material of the circulatory system for SMA/MA class XI which is valid and practical. Abstract

Soil salinity problems in the coastal hinterland region of East Java diminish agricultural development and land productivity. Soil leaching is expected to reduce soil salinity. This study investigated the effectiveness of different ameliorant compositions and leaching requirements (LR) in the leaching process. The experiment involved applying ameliorants (T) and leaching (L) treatments to lysimeters filled with saline soil. The ameliorant treatments included biochar, organic matter, and gypsum. The results showed the leaching requirement capacity to reduce electrical conductivity from 5.7 dS m-1 to below 2 dS m-1. Leaching for T0 (without ameliorants) and T1 (10 Mg ha-1 of biochar) required 943 mm of water, while T2 (20 Mg ha-1 of biochar) and T3 (40 Mg ha-1 of compost) required 1052 mm. The T4 (10 Mg ha-1 of compost and 2 Mg ha-1 of gypsum) necessitated 1154 mm of leaching water. The ameliorants’ application and assortment increased the water demand for leaching. The findings indicated a consistent relationship between TDS and salinity, indicating the soil’s dominant presence of salty ions.
