Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the interaction of giving the compost of tofu dregs and NPK fertilizer and to get the right dose towards the growth of cacao seedling (Theobroma cacao L.). This research was conducted by Completely Randomized Design that consists of 2 factors. The first factors is the dose of the compost of tofu dregs (K) that consists of 4 levels. The second factors is the dose of NPK fertilizer (P) that consists of 3 levels. The Parameters observed were the height of seedling, number of leaves, diameter of stem, and the width of leaves of cacao seedling.The data was analyzed by a statistic way with variance and followed by further testing Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) with 5 % level. The results of this research showed. The combination of treatments of the compost of tofu dregs dose 225 g/plants and NPK fertilizer dose 2 g/plants tend to increase the growth of height of seedling, number of leaves, and diameter of stem, and the width of leaves of cacao seedling. The application of the compost of tofu dreg dose 225 g/plants have good effects toward the growth parameter of height of seedling, number of leaves, diameter of seedling stem and the width of leaves of cacao seedling. The application of NPK fertilizer dose 2 g/plants have good effects toward the growth parameter of height of seedling, number of leaves and diameter of seedling stem.Keywords: Cacao, Compost of Tofu Dregs, NPK Fertilizer

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect a mixture of compost cocoa exocarpium with compost TKKS and to get the best treatment combination for the growth of cocoa in the subsoil medium ultisol. This research was conducted in the experimental field and Laboratory of Production Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau in Campus Binawidya Km 12.5 Simpang Baru Pekanbaru. This research was conducted from March to June 2016. The research used Completely Randomized Design nonfactorial that consisting of 6 treatment and 3 replications, so that there are 18 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of three plants and two seeds sampled, so the total crop was 54 plants. Each treatment is : K0 = without compost; K1 = TKKS compost100 g/plant; K2 = cocoa exocarpium compost 25 g/plant + TKKS  compost  75 g/plant ; K3 = cocoa exocarpium compost 50 g/plant + TKKS  compost  50 g/plant ; K4 = cocoa exocarpium compost 750 g/plant + TKKS  compost  25 g/plant ;K5 = cocoa exocarpium compost 100 g/plant. Parameters measured were seedling height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf area,root volume and seedling dry weight. Data obtained from the research results were statistically analyzed by analysis of variance followed by a further test of Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5%. Based on the research the application of cocoa exocarpium compostwith TKKS compost on the cocoa seeds that have been carried out, the result showed that the treatment cocoa exocarpium compostwith TKKS compost had significant effect on all parameters of observation. Treatment of cocoa exocarpium compost 100 g/seed can be recommended to get the growth of cocoa’s seedling. Keywords : cocoa, cocoa exocarpium compostwith TKKS compost, Ultisol.

Abstract

This study aims to inventory, to determined the composition and weed species dominancy of and to determined seedbank germination in various depth of soil in oil palm plantation. This research was conducted at Kebun Sei Galuh PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V, Kampar, Riau. This research was conducted for 3 months, starting from October 2016 until December 2016. This research used observation method. The sampling technique was done by a purposive sampling system with the criteria of land area and the age of the oil palm plant while the dominant weed species was done by vegetation analysis with quadratic methodical. The parameters observed were density (K), Relative Density (KR), Frequency (F), Relative Frequency (FR), and Importance Value Index (INP). The seedbank analysis was done by observing the growing weeds, then identified the species and counted the amount as the number of seedbank in the soil depth of 0 – 10 cm, 10 – 20 cm and 20 – 30 cm. The data that have been obtained are presented in the form of drawings, tabulated based on data groups and analyzed descriptively quantitatively, and presented descriptively qualitatively. Indicator under study in this research is planting year and weed type. The results showed that the diversity of weeds found in the crop produces palm oil consisting of 18 families and 38 species relatively the same and dominated by the family Poaceae and Cyperaceae. Dianella ensifolia, Asystasia intrusa, Eleusine indica is an important and a very dominant weed in all planted areas producing oil palm. Seedbank weeds at a depth of 0 – 10 cm has the largest number of propagules in the appeal at depths of 10 – 20 cm and 20 to 30 cm. Keywords: Inventory of weeds, Seedbank, Oil palm.

Abstract

The researchaimed to examinethe effect of waste litter cornand obtain the best  to the growthand yield ofsweet corn(Zea mayssaccharataSturt). This study  has been conducted in Jl.kartama, RT. 04 RW. 07 subdistrict Marpoyan Damai, Pekanbaru from November 2016 to Februari 2017. The researchexperiment use complete design random (CDR) consisting of 4 treatment and 5 replicationthen obtained20 experimentunits. The treatment tested was giving is :K0 = without waste litter corn, K1 = 10 ton/ha (6 kg/plot) of waste litter corn, K2 = 20 ton/ha (6 kg/plot) of waste litter corn, K3 = 30 ton/ha (6 kg/plot) of waste litter corn, K4 = 40 ton/ha (6 kg/plot) of wastelitter corn. The observed used is plant height,male flowersappear,female flowersappear,harvestingage, the production per plot, weight per seed of husk, diameter corncob without husk,cob lenght, and the number of seed lines. Waste litter of corndosage of 24 kg / plot is the best treatment on plant height parameters, male flowersappear, the number of seed lines, and production per plot. Corn waste litter dosage at 18 kg / plot is the best treatment on the parameters of female flowersappear, harvesting age, weight per seed of husk, cob length, and the diameter corncob. Keywords : Waste litter corn, Sweet corn

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of POC banana skin nutrition and the use of plant medium and to obtain the best combination of treatments on the growth and yield of hydroponic cultivated tomato plants. This research was conducted in Experimental Garden of Agricultural Faculty of Riau University, Pekanbaru from June to October 2017. This study used a complete randomized design (RAL). The first factor is POC nutrients of banana skin with concentrations of: 20 ml.l-1 water, 35 ml.l-1 water, and 50 ml.l-1 water. The second factor is planting medium that is Charcoal husk, Cocopeat and Charcoal husk + cocopeat (with ratio 1: 1). The parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, flowering age, percentage of flower to fruit, number of fruit crops, age of first harvest, weight per fruit, fruit diameter and fruit weight per plant. Provision of POC banana peel 35 ml.l-1 water in husk charcoal medium to increase the growth of plant height, the percentage of flowers into fruit, the number of fruit crops and the weight of fruit crops. Keywords: nutrition, planting medium, hydroponics

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the way in which water management and rice cultivation techniques are carried out in tidal land. This study uses a survey method and interviews with rice farmers in Sanglar Village, Reteh Regency, Indragiri Hilir Regency. Farmers 'respondents were collected by means of targeted sampling based on the location of farmers' groups downstream, in the middle and upstream of the secondary channel. Each part of upstream, middle and downstream will be taken 2 farmer groups as samples then 8 farmers will be taken as survey respondents. So thatthe total respondents were 48 tidal rice farmers. The results of the research data are presented in the form of tables and images that are described descriptively. The management of water used in Sanglar Village is classified as simple water management, characterized by the condition of buildings that are still made of earth and there are no building meters and retention. The cultivation technique used in Sanglar Village is one of the traditional cultivation techniques. This can be seen from planting to harvesting, most farmers have not used Alsintan and agricultural innovations. The highest productivity is indicated by the downstream channel with 3.73 tons. Ha-1 is still relatively low due to simple water management and traditional breeding techniques that require improvement in water management and cultivation techniques.Keyword : Water Management, Rice Cultivation, Tidal Land

Abstract

This research aim to know the interaction and the effect of application of compost brangkasan corn and NPK fertilizer and get the dose of fertilizer of the growth and production of sweet corn. This research has been conducted from june until september 2018. This research has been conducted on the experimental field using a complete design random (CDR) with 2 factor. The first factor is the contration of compost that consist of level: 2,5 t.ha-1, 5 t.ha-1, and 7,5 t.ha-1. The second factor is the dose of NPK fertilizer that consist of level: 50 kg.ha-1, 100 kg.ha-1 and 150 kg.ha-1. The observed parameters of plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, time of male flower, time of female flower, cob length, cob diameter, cobs are weightless, cobs not weighted and the number of seeds per line. The result showed that the interaction of  application compost brangkasan corn and NPK fertilizer have non significant effect. Application NPK fertilizer have non significant effect. Application compost brangkasan corn had significant effect on all parameters amount plant heigh, time of male flower, time of female flower, cobs are weightless, cobs not weighted and the number of seeds per line. Application compost brangkasan corn 5 t.ha-1 and NPK fertilizer 150 kg.ha-1 show  on average the highest of any parameter observation give growth and production of good.Keywords : corn, compost brangkasan, NPK.

Abstract

The research aims to find out the effect of rhinoceros beetles larvae feces  (Oryctes rhinoceros) and get the best dosage on growth of palm oil (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) in preproduced-1. This research was conducted at palm oil plantation of PTPN V Sei Galuh Pantai Cermin Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, that was arrange completely randomized design (RAL) non-factorial with 4 levels and replicated 4 times, so there are 16 experimental units. The dosage for treatment of O. rhinoceros larvae feces (K) consists of 0, 5, 10 and 15 kg per plant. The observed parameters were increase plant height, increase number of plant midribs, increase plant stem circumference, increase length of plant midribs and increase number of plant leaves.  The results of the research showed that the effect of O. rhinoceros larvae feces increased the growth of palm oil in preproduced-1, as seen on parameters ofincrease plant height, increase number of plant midribs, increase plant stem circumference, increase length of plant midribs and increase number of plant leaves. The treatment of O. rhinoceros larvae feces at dose 15 kg per plant showed the highest impact on increase plant height with 62.50 cm, increase number of plant midribs with 14.00 strands, increase plant stem circumference with 37.25 cm, increase length of plant midribs with 50.75 cm and increasenumber of plant leaves with 10.50 strands. Keywords:Organic fertilizer of O. rhinoceros larvae feces, palm oil.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of husk and cocopeat charcoal planting medium, liquid organic fertilizer (POC) on banana peel waste and the interaction between planting medium and POC on banana peel waste on the growth and production of tomato plants cultivated in hydroponic substrates. Dosen Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Riau JOM Faperta UR Vol. 6 Edisi 1 Januari s/d Juni 2019 research was conducted at the experimental field of Faculty of Agriculture University of Riau from August 2017 to January 2018 using factorial randomized complete design (CRD). The first factor was the planting medium consisting of two levels, husk charcoal (M1) and cocopeat (M2). The second factor was four concentrations of liquid organic fertilizer from banana peel waste consisting, without the administration of liquid organic fertilizer banana peel waste (P0), 2 ml.l-1 water (P1), 4 ml.l-1 water (P2) and 6 ml.l-1 water (P3). The parameters observed were plant height, day of flowering, number of flowers, percentage of fruit formation, day of first harvest, number of fruits per plant, total weight of fruit per plant and weight per fruit. The results showed that there was no interaction between the planting medium and the POC of banana peel waste as well as the single factor of POC peel waste waste on all observed treatments. The treatment of planting medium had a significant effect on all parameters observed except the percentage of fruit formation, age of first harvest, and weight per fruit. The use of husk charcoal medium produced higher plants with higher number of flowers, higher fruit weight and total fruit weight per plant compared to the use of cocopeat planting medium in the production of hydroponic substrate tomato plants. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the watering volume and cocoa pod husks compost in the RYP medium as well as to get the best treatment combination on the growth of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) seedlings in the main nursery. This research was conducted in the greenhouse of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru, from December 2015 to March 2016. This research conducted as an experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD) and 3 replications. Each experimental unit had  2 seedlings. Parameters those measured were seedling height, leaves number,  trunk diameter growth, roots to shoot ratio, and dry weight. Data were analyzed statistically using ANOVA and Duncan's Multiple Range's at the tier of 5%. The results suggest  that the interaction of  watering volume and cocoa pod husks compost  had no significant effect on all parameters, but watering volume significantly affected dry weight. While cocoa pod husks compost significant effect on seedling height and seedling dry weight. In implementation of  2.5 l / polybag watering volume and 200g / polybag cocoa pod husks compost provide the best treatment to all parameters.  Keywords: oil palm,  water volume watering, cocoa pod husks compost
