Abstract

This research aimed to describe the LC 3E learning model effectiviness in improving the communication skills of students in the subject matter of hydrocarbons.  The samples in this study were students of SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung class X4 and X5  Academic Year 2011-2012 Even Half that taken by porposive sampling technique.  This research was a quasi-experimental research design Non Equivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Group Design.  Hypothesis test used is the t-test.  Based on the result of the study, found that the avarage N-gain communication skills using learning model LC 3E is higher than that using conventional learning.  This implies that the  LC 3E learning model effective in improving student’s communication skills in the subject matter of hydrocarbons.Keyword: LC 3E models, communication skills, and effectiviness

Abstract

Abstract Implementasi Media Audiovisual berbasis PBL untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berfikir Kritis Siswa: This implementation research is to find out the audiovisual media based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) in improving students' critical thinking skills. The method used was a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The research population was all students of class XI MIPA, one of the senior high schools in Bandar Lampung. The sample was obtained by purposive sampling technique, namely class A as the experimental class (learning using PBL-based audiovisual media) and class B as the control class (learning using conventional media). The application of PBL-based audiovisual media is measured by the difference in the average value of n-Gain which is significant on students' critical thinking skills, both in the experimental class and the control class. The results of the calculation of the difference test obtained that the average n-Gain value of students' critical thinking abilities in the experimental class was greater than in the control class. The resulting effect size calculation can be interpreted as learning with PBL-based audiovisual media has an effect on increasing students' critical thinking skills on redox material, by 81%. The conclusion is that the application of PBL-based audiovisual media has an effect and is effective on increasing students' critical thinking skills.Keywords: PBL-based audiovisual media, critical thinking skills.DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v10.i3.2021.14

Abstract

In December 2019, there was an outbreak of a virus known as Covid-10. To prevent the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia, the government made a Work From Home (WFH) policy. The existence of this WFH policy has an impact on the education sector, namely on the implementation of teaching and learning activities which were originally face-to-face to be changed online. Online learning on osmotic pressure material is still lacking in resources. The purpose of this research was to develop an e-book on the subject of osmotic pressure, describe the validity, teacher responses, and student responses. The research method used is Research and Development according to Borg and Gall until the fifth stage. The results of expert validation of e-books on aspects of the suitability of the content of the material, aspects of readability, and aspects of design attractiveness obtained high criteria. The results of the teacher's responses on the attractiveness aspect of the material content, the readability aspect, and the attractiveness aspect obtained very high criteria. The results of student responses on the readability aspect and the attractiveness aspect obtained very high criteria. Abstract

This research aims to describe the effect of using problem solving based worksheet to improve students critical thinking skills. The research design used is non equivalence pretest-posttest control group design. The sample of this research were students in class X MIPA 2 as control class and X MIPA 3 as experiment class, which were selected by cluster random sampling. The research data consisting of the values of pretest, posttest and n-Gain. The effect of worksheet to improve students critical thinking skill is calculated using the effect test formula. The results of data analysis and calculations show that worksheets applied to the experimental class have a greater effect than the control class. Therefor, it can be concluded that problem solving based worksheet has been taken effect to  improve students critical thinking skills. Keyword: problem solving based student worksheet, critical thinking, electrolyte and non elektrolyte solution.  Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengaruh LKS berbasis problem solving untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah non eqivalence pretes-postes control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol dan X MIPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen, yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian terdiri dari nilai pretes, postes dan n-Gain. Besarnya pengaruh LKS untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dihitung menggunakan rumus uji pengaruh (effect size). Hasil analisis data dan perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa LKS yang diterapkan pada kelas eksperimen memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis problem solving berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Kata kunci: LKS berbasis problem solving, keterampilan berpikir kritis, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of using student worksheet based discovery learning in  increasing science process skills on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution topic.  The population in this study is all students in grade X IPA one of  Senior High School in Bandar Lampung on academic year 2017/2018.  The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling and obtained sample of class X IPA 1 as experiment class and X IPA 4 as control class.  This research method is quasi experiment with Non Equivalence Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design.  The effect of student worksheet is measured on the average value of n-Gain science process skills.  The results showed that in the experimental class the average value of n-Gain was 0.73 (high criteria).  Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that student worksheet based discovery learning have a high effect increasing science process skills on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution topic.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan lembar kerja siswa berbasis discovery learning terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA salah satu SMA di Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2017/2018.  Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling dan diperoleh sampel kelas X IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol.  Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalence Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design.  Pengaruh LKS diukur berdasarkan nilai rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan proses sains siswa.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kelas eksperimen nilai rata-rata n-Gain sebesar 0,73 (kriteria tinggi).  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis discovery learning berpengaruh tinggi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit.                       Kata Kunci: lembar kerja siswa, kemampuan proses sains, discovery learning

Abstract

The aim of this research is enhancing the skills inference and a mastery the concept in guided inquiry model. Population in this research is all the students class X MA N 1 Bandar Lampung first half of the academic year 2011-2012 class X.7 and X.8as a sample. A method of this research is a quasi of his experiments with non equivalent control group design. The effectiveness of learning is measured based on comparative the difference in value pretest and posttest to within the maximum value by the aceh-nias pretes. The result showed the value of average n-gain skill inference for class control and experimentation is -0,65 and 0.61. While the value of average n-gain mastery of the concept of to a class of control and experimentation is 0.18 and 0,55. Based on the testing of hypotheses, it is concluded that the classroom with a model of learning inkuiri terbimbing have the skills inference and a mastery the concept of higher than the classroom with vote was taken.It showed that the model of inquiri terbimbing on any material hydrocarbon more effective in increasing skill inference and a mastery concept students learning than conventionalKeyword: Guided Inquiry Learning, skill inference, mastery concept

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know effectiveness of the model 5E learning cycle (LC5E) in enhancing inferring skill and mastery of concepts in reaction rate material. Populations were all students of Grade XI science in MAN in Central Lampung academic year 2012-2013. The samples were 34 students in classroom XI science one and 34 students in classroom XI science two that have equal academic abilities. This was a quasi experiment research using non equivalent control group design.  Effectiveness  LC5E  model was measured based on significant gain enhancement.  The result showed that average values of  N-gain of inferring skill in experiment and control classrooms were 0.67 and 0.44 respectively and average values of  N-gain for mastery of concepts in experiment and control classrooms were 0.58 and 0.46 respectively. The hypothesis result test showed that classroom that used LC5E  model had higher skill in inferring and mastery of concepts than with conventional learning model.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model learning cycle 5E ( LC 5E) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan inferensi dan penguasaan konsep laju reaksi.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA MAN Poncowati  tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.  Sampel terdiri dari 34 siswa kelas XI Ipa 1 dan 34 siswa XI Ipa 2 yang mempunyai kemampuan yang sama.  Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  Efektivitas mo­del LC 5E ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata N-gain keterampilan inferensi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,67 dan 0,44 dan rata-rata N-gain penguasaan konsep kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,58 dan 0,46.  Dengan demikian didapat bahwa keterampilan inferensi dan penguasaan konsep laju reaksi yang diterapkan model LC 5E lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci : keterampilan inferensi, model pembelajaran LC5E, penguasaan konsep

Abstract

This research aims to describe the effectiveness of guided inquiry to improve metacognition skills on electrolyte and non electrolyte solutions topic. The research method used was quasi experimental with pretest-postest control group design. The sample use was done by cluster random sampling, obtained X IPA 7 as experimental class and X IPA 6 as control class. The effectiveness of guided inquiry was showed by the significant difference of average n-Gain of metacognition skills between the experiment and control class, experiment class was 0.70 with high category and for control class was 0.53 with middle category. The conclusion of this research is effective guided inquiry and has a high effect to improve the ability of metacognition on electrolyte and non electrolyte solutions topic.Keywords: metacognition skills, guided inquiry, electrolyte and non electrolyte solutionsPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan keterampilan metakognisi siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Efektivitas inkuiri terbimbing ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan metakognisi siswa yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, yaitu kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,70 dengan kategori “tinggi” dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,53 dengan kategori “sedang”. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu inkuiri terbimbing efektif dan mempunyai ukuran pengaruh yang besar untuk meningkatkan keterampilan metakognisi siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit.Kata Kunci: keterampilan metakognisi, inkuiri terbimbing, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit

Abstract

Education in Indonesia has changed from offline learning to online learning because of the corona virus. The corona virus has been endemic in Indonesia since early March 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed various aspects of human life, including in the field of education. This condition causes all elements of education to utilize ICT for use in the learning process. One of the uses of ICT can be applied to the development of learning resources. The learning process during the pandemic requires learning resources that are interesting, fun, and in accordance with the applicable curriculum. This research is a type of development research that aims to describe the validity, teacher responses, and student responses to e-books on chemical equilibrium material for online learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is the Research and Development (RD) method. E-book developed using book creator application. Based on the results of expert validation of the developed e-book, an average percentage of 76.29% was obtained with high criteria in the aspect of content suitability. In the construction aspect of 82.95%, readability of 82.22%, and attractiveness of 83.8%, all three have very high criteria. The results of the teacher's response to the suitability aspect of the material content are 86.67%, readability is 85.6%, and attractiveness is 86.8%, all three have very high criteria. The results of students' responses to the readability aspect were 84.5% and attractiveness was 83.9%, both of which had very high criteria. Abstract

This research purpose is to describ the experimental method effect in increasing critical thinking skills and thermochemistry concept mastery. This research is used quasi eksperimental method with pretest-posttest non equivalent control group design. The population of the research are XI science student from one of high school grade in Bandar Lampung. The Sampling used is cluster random sampling method obtained from XI science 5 as experimental class and XI science 7 as control class. The effectiveness of learning is by n-Gain average of critical thinking skills and thermochemistry concept mastery, and also supported with the effect size test, when n-Gain in experiment class higher than n-Gain in control class. The result of effec size test show the experimental class is 0,92 including in “big” category.  Based on that result, we can conclude that the experimental method effective in increasing critical thinking skills and students concept mastery on thermochemistry.Keyword : experiment method, critical thinking skills, concept mastery, thermochemistry.             Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh metode eksperimen dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi termokimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experiment dengan desain pretest-posttest non equivalent control group. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA salah satu SMA di Bandar Lampung. Penentuan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling, diperoleh kelas XI IPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 7 sebagai kelas kontrol.  Pengaruh metode eksperimen ditunjukan dengan n-Gain rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep termokimia, serta didukung uji ukuran pengaruh, dengan n-Gain pada kelas ekperimen lebih tinggi daripada n-Gain siswa di kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahawa metode eksperimen berpengaruh besar dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi termokimia.Kata kunci: metode eksperimen, keterampilan berpikir kritis, penguasaan konsep, termokimia
