Abstract

Kecamatan Tabulahan, Kabupaten Mamasa, Sulawesi Barat mempunyai kondisi topografi yang tinggi didominasi oleh wilayah perbukitan. Bencana tanah longsor merupakan salah satu bencana yang sering terjadi pada daerah ini. Adapun faktor yang mempengaruhi hal ini terjadi, yaitu tingkat kelerengan tanah, intensitas curah hujan, penggunaan lahan, dan jenis tanah pada daerah Tabulahan. Oleh karena itu, dengan menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi bencana alam khususnya longsor sehingga diharapkan ada persiapan ketika bencana terjadi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi literatur berupa pengumpulan referensi beberapa parameter yang akan menunjang proses penelitian dan dilanjutkan dengan proses pengolahan menggunakan metode overlay dan scoring (pembobotan data) guna mengetahui daerah rawan tanah longsor. Proses pengolahan ini akan menghasilkan peta potensi tanah longsor yang diperoleh dengan menganalisis empat parameter yang menjadi faktor penentu tingkat kerawanan longsor. Dari peta potensi longsor ini didapatkan empat tingkatan, yaitu rendah, menengah, tinggi, dan sangat tinggi. Untuk tingkat potensi tanah longsor rendah sebesar 1,76% atau 9,32 km2, untuk tingkat potensi tanah longsor menengah sebesar 39,72%, atau 209,88 km2, untuk tingkat potensi tanah longsor tinggi sebesar 36,45% atau 192,62 km2, dan untuk tingkat potensi tanah longsor sangat tinggi sebesar 22,07% atau 116,6 km2.

Abstract

Bandar Lampung often faces major challenges related to flooding. In recent years, flooding in the city has become a serious problem that requires special attention and handling. Infrastructure development and continuous population growth affect changes in the city's environmental setting. From the continuous flooding in Bandar Lampung city, it is necessary to analyse flood patterns with a spatial and temporal approach. The utilization of Geographic Information System (GIS) method is one of the effective ways in making maps with various data used such as rainfall, land cover, watershed, slope, and information on flood incidents over a 10-year period, from 2013 to 2023. The watershed, land cover and slope data also provide an overview of the dynamics of water flow and its influence on flood-prone areas. From the data, it was found that the distribution of Bandar Lampung urban forest area decreased by 63859.61 ha from 83778.11 ha to 19918.5 ha or about 23.8% of the Bandar Lampung City area. In addition, there was an increase in residential and industrial areas of 36750.95 ha from 2013 of 27143.83 ha to around 63,894.78 ha or approximately 76.2% of the total area of Bandar Lampung City. This research contributes to the importance of understanding the dynamics of flooding in Bandar Lampung City and contributes to the understanding of the dynamics of flooding in Bandar Lampung City.

Abstract

The emergence of hot spring manifestations in Biatan Bapinang, East Kalimantan, is intriguing due to its location, far from active volcanic and tectonic regions. This study aims to investigate possible causes and characteristics of this geothermal system using geological analysis and Bouguer anomaly distribution. Regional geological data and a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) were used to examine rock formations and potential structures that could serve as pathways for hot fluid migration. Bouguer anomaly distribution provided insights into density variations associated with basement depth. Findings indicate that the Biatan Bapinang hot spring manifestation lies at the boundary between a sedimentary basin and a basement uplift. The fluid likely originates from the sedimentary basin, with basement uplift potentially enhancing heat flow that warms subsurface water. Lithological boundaries and possible subsurface structures create preferential pathways for hot fluids to reach the surface. This study suggests that the Biatan Bapinang geothermal system is a non-volcanic, intraplate basin-type system, with a probable heat source from terrestrial heat flow concentrated by the basement uplift and local geological configuration. This research opens opportunities for further studies on geothermal potential in non-volcanic regions, especially in the Biatan area.
