Abstract

The success of extension activities is influenced by the participation of target farmers. In addition to participation, farmer satisfaction with extension performance will be related to extension of sustainability in the future. This study aims to analyze the participation and satisfaction of farmers on the performance of agricultural extension workers in Palas District, South Lampung Regency. The study was conducted in the extension work area of Palas Tang District which is an agricultural center, especially lowland rice in South Lampung Regency. The study was conducted from May to June 2019. Data collected in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Data analysis uses a Likert scale. The results of the study provide a picture that the participation of farmers in agricultural extension activities in the District of Palas is at a fairly high level. Make farmers active in farmer groups and propose extension activities by 56 percent, and farmer involvement in giving advice on the development of farmer groups with a percentage of 78 percent. All farmers join to become members of farmer groups without coercion from extension workers or other parties. In general, farmers' satisfaction with extension performance is quite satisfied. Of the nine indicators, farmers' satisfaction with mass movements in their work areas is the lowest. Farmers are satisfied with the way the agriculture instructor communicates. Farmers are satisfied with the way the instructor communicates and assesses extension activities as having a good impact on agricultural extension activities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze stakeholder perceptions of the development of the Ramaksa Village-Owned Enterprises (Bumdes) on the Sungai Langka. This research is descriptive with data collection done qualitatively using in-depth interview guidelines then analyzed content (content analysis). The study was conducted at the Bumdes Ramaksa in Sungai Langka Village, Gedong Tataan Subdistrict, Pesawaran District. The technique of determining informants used purposive sampling technique. The research subjects were stakeholders, namely the Head of the Sungai Langka, operational implementers and two people from Sungai Langka. The research was conducted in November 2018. The focus of this research was the existence of Bumdes, the contribution of the Bumdes in strengthening the economy and village development as well as stakeholder perceptions of the development of the Bumdes Ramaksa in the Sungai Langka. The results showed that the business units run by the Bumdes Ramaksa included drinking water refill management business units, microfinance institutions, livestock, and Izaura drinking water sub-agents. The selection of this business unit is based on the resources and potential in the Sungai Langka. The business entity owned by the village of Ramaksa was formed based on the principle of benefits and improving the welfare of the village community. Stakeholder perceptions of the development of the Bumdes Ramaksa are viewed from four aspects, namely economic, ecological, social and institutional aspects. Of the four aspects assessed, the Bumdes Ramaksa has been classified as good. According to the informant, the Bumdes program as an implementation of the community empowerment program seeks to create growth in the field of people's economy and equitable welfare through the expansion of business opportunities for small-scale business people as measured by increased income.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Food security is a priority in national development, and developing high-quality rice seeds is one of the main strategies to achieve it. This study was conducted to formulate strategies for developing rice seeds at CV PTSC to support food security. The research was carried out at CV PTSC in Ciamis Regency using a purposive sampling technique, considering that this company is the sole producer of rice seeds in the Priangan Timur region. The data used in this study comprised primary and secondary data collected through in-depth interviews with key stakeholders. Respondents included the management of CV PTSC, partners (traders and farmers), academics, and government institutions such as the Agricultural Office and the Seed Supervision and Certification Center (BPSBTPH) of West Java Province. The research employed a case study method, with data analyzed using the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) approach to identify internal and external factors affecting business development. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was applied to determine the priority of strategies based on the weight of each factor.The results indicated that CV PTSC has significant potential to leverage internal strengths such as technological innovation and an extensive distribution network while addressing external threats like climate change and market competition. Based on the AHP analysis, the recommended priority strategies are as follows: first, expanding partnerships from upstream to downstream to support the production and marketing of seeds, with a weight of 0.99; second, Promoting digital marketing and collaborating with relevant institutions to enhance seed marketing, with a weight of 0.96. Third, seed quality in terms of cultivation practices and certification by seed certification agencies should be improved, with a weight of 0.92.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the role of women in freshwater fish farming households. The research was carried out in Sumbersari Village, Metro Selatan District with consideration as a center for freshwater fisheries in Metro City in November-December 2020. Respondents to the study consisted of 20 freshwater fish farming households which were selected using the simple random sampling method. Data were analyzed using qualitative methods and Harvard methods to see the role of women in gender activity profiles (reproductive, productive and social division of labor), access to resources and benefits and control over resources and benefits based on gender. The role of women in aquatic fish farming households is dominated by reproductive activities (domestik work). Activities whose division of labor is dominated by men include: 1) Productive division of labor, 2) Social division of labor, 3) Access to resources, and 4) Control over resources. Equality in the division of labor based on gender has occurred in access to benefits and control over benefits activities. In general, the division of labor in the air-tawae fish farming household is not equal between men and women. Women dominate in the division of labor in the domestik sector and men dominate in the productive, social, and access to family resources sectors.

Abstract

Digital marketing is a marketing strategy that utilises technology and digital platforms to reach, interact and build relationships with customers that can be accessed by businesses. But there are still many fish processors who are members of the fish processing and marketing group who have not done digital marketing. This study aims to analyse the interest of business actors in digital marketing technology, and analyse the effect of business actors' interest in the factors that influence interest in digital marketing technology. This research was conducted in Tasikmalaya City in October 2024 - April 2025 to fish processing business actors who are members of fish processing and marketing groups with a sample of 35 people. For the analysis method used, namely quantitative descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the interest of fish processing businesses in digital marketing technology was in the high category. Jointly, variables including age, education, income, business scale, experience, knowledge, convenience, trust, usefulness, profit, risk perception, and access to technology have a significant influence on the interest of fish processing businesses in digital marketing technology. The variables of education, income, business scale, and access to technology each have a strong influence on the interest of fish processors in digital marketing technology.
