Abstract

Tujuan penelitian tersebut adalah untuk mengungkap secara komprehensif karakteristik psiko-logis atlet atletik PPLP Papua. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian seluruh atlet atletik yang tergabung dalam PPLP Provinsi Papua berjumlah 20 (12 laki-laki dan 8 perempuan). Atlet junior tersebut berada pada tingkat sekolah SMP dan SMA (17 SMA dan 3 SMP) dengan rentang usia 13-18 tahun ( = 16,6; s = 1,27). Terdapat tiga belas dimensi psikologis yang akan diungkap dengan menggunakan dua instrumen. Pertama, Psychological Skill Inventory for Sport (PSIS) yang terdiri dari 38 pernyataan dengan lima aternatif pilihan jawaban. Kedua, Inventori Kepribadian Atlet (IKA) yang terdiri dari 48 pernyataan dengan lima aternatif pilihan jawaban. Teknik analisis deskriptif seperti nilai rata-rata, nilai terendah dan tertinggi, serta standar deviasi akan digunakan. Hasil penelitian menemukan motivasi menjadi dimensi psikologis yang skornya paling tinggi yaitu 4,36, kemudian disusul dimensi komitmen (4,11) dan kerja keras (4,01). Terdapat dua dimensi yang skornya paling rendah, yaitu kontrol kecemasan (2,60) dan konsentrasi (2,83). Untuk dimensi psikologis lainnya seperti perhatian, kepercayaan, persiapan, ambisi prestatif, gigih, mandiri, cerdas, dan swakendali berada pada nilai sedang. Karakteristik psikologis tersebut juga didiskusikan cara meningkatkannya. Mental athletes of Papua: How are the psychological characteristics of the athletic athlete? AbstractThe purpose of this study was to reveal the psychological characteristics of athletes from PPLP Papua comprehensively. The quantitative descriptive research will be used in this study by involving all athletic athletes who were members of PPLP Papua amounted to 20 (12 male and 8 female). The junior athletes were at the junior high school (JHS) and senior high school (SHS) (3 JHS and 17 SHS) with a range of ages 13 – 18 years ( = 16,6; s = 1,27). Thirteen psychology dimensions will be revealed using two instruments. First, Psychological Skill Inventory for Sport (PSIS) consisting of 38 statements with five alternative answer choices. Second, the inventory of athletes’ personality (IAP) composed of 48 statements with five options. Descriptive analysis techniques such as average values, lowest and highest values, and standard deviation will be used. The results of the study found that motivation was the most top psychological dimensions (4,36), followed by the dimensions of commitment (4,11) and hard work (4,10). There were two dimensions with the lowest score, namely anxiety control (2,60) and concentration (2,83). For other psychological dimensions such as attention, self-confidence, achievement ambition, prestige, perseverance, self-containment, intelligence and self-control were at a moderate value. The psychology characteristics are also discussed how the improve it.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the content validity of the men's U21 football physical test. This research is a quantitative descriptive research with survey techniques using the delphy method. The sample in this study consisted of 7 experts, namely 2 physical condition experts, 2 football game experts, 2 soccer coaches, and 1 analyzer of the input results of each expert. A self design rubric used as an instrument in this study. The data analysis technique in this study uses the aiken-v formula. The finding showed the men's U21 football physical test has high content   validity based on expert’s mutual agreement. The experts validation showed high validity (r=1.0) for BMI test to measure body composition and Sit and Reach test to measure flexibility. 30 meter sprint test for speed, leg and back dynamometer test to measure strength and shuttle run for agility showed high validity value r= 0.89. The aerocic test using MFT test also have high validity (r=0.83). This reseach indicate that the test battery for men's U21 football players is relevant and able to measure their physical ability to perform well in the game. This fitness test battery need to be reviewed continously based on the current demand and requirement.
