Abstract

Abstract: Conflict is normal and sometimes cannot be unavoided in an organization. The current beliefs consider that a conflict is not merely a disadvantage but it can bring advantages to the organization if it is well-controlled. Conflict management is a conflict resolution under pressure and in emotional environment. The objective of this research is to find out (1) the types of conflict; (2) sources of conflict; (3) director point of view regardingthe form of conflict; (4) approaches for conflict management; and (5) organization productivity at Muhammadiyah Midwifery Academy of Banda Aceh. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach. The data were collected by doing interview, observation and documentation study. The research results show that (1) there were some types of conflicts at Muhammadiyah Midwifery Academy such as interpersonal conflict, conflict between two persons and conflict between two groups; (2) the sources of conflict are communication, different interest, and interdependency on working activities; (3) the form of conflict was the functional conflict which influenced the improvement of organization performance; (4) the approach conducted by the director was the approach of conflict simulation, conflict controlling, and conflict resolution and elimination, and (5) the conflict management applied at Muhammadiyah Midwifery Academy was one of the efforts which influenced the organization productivity.Keywords: conflict management and organization productivity

Abstract

Abstract: To improve the professionalism of teachers, implementation of teaching supervision by the principal is indispensable as an indicator of the success of learning implementation in school and teachers’ tasks. A principal absolutely must have a competence as a supervisor because through supervision activities problems faced by teachers in the implementation of learning and development of professionalism can be identified, so that a solution can be found through routine coaching by the principal. The purpose of this study was to determine the teaching supervision program in an effort to improve the performance and professionalism of teachers at SMAN 1 Peukan Bada Senior High School in Aceh Besar Regency. This study used a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were: observation, interview and documentation study. The subjects of the study were principal and teachers of SMAN 1 Peukan Bada. The results of the study showed that: (1) The principal has the ability as a supervisor in the implementation of teacher professional development program in SMAN 1 Peukan Bada, (2) The principal used individual supervision technique as the strategy to improve the professionalism of teachers through classroom visit activity, classroom observation, peer supervision, informal supervision and group technique, (3) The supervision carried by the principal provided a positive impact in improving the professionalism of teachers, with the growing understanding of the teachers on how to become good educators, (4) The obstacle in the implementation of program supervision was the limited time, resulting in uneven supervision activities for any teacher, so that the efforts to improve teachers' competence was not optimal. Keywords: The Competence, Principal, Professionalism, Teacher  Abstrak: Dalam meningkatkatkan profesionalisme guru, pelaksanaan supervisi pengajaran oleh kepala sekolah sangat diperlukan sebagai indikator keberhasilan pelaksanaan pembelajaran disekolah dan tugas-tugas guru. Kompetensi kepala sekolah sebagai supervisor mutlak harus dimiliki oleh seorang kepala sekolah karena melalui kegiatan supervisi ditemukan masalah-masalah yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan pengembangan profesionalismenya, sehingga dapat ditemukan solusi dengan dilakukan pembinaan secara rutin oleh kepala sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui program supervisi pengajaran dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja dan profesionalisme guru pada SMA Negeri I Peukan Bada Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah: observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan guru SMA Negeri I Peukan Bada Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh data dan informasi : (1) Kepala sekolah memeiliki kemampuan sebagai supervisor dalam pelaksanaan program pembinaan profesionalisme guru SMA Negeri I Peukan Bada Kabupaten Aceh Besar, (2) strategi supervisi yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dalam rangka meningkatkan profesionalisme guru adalah: teknik supervisi perseorangan dengan kegiatan kunjungan kelas, observasi kelas, supervisi sebaya, supervisi informal dan teknik kelompok, (3) supervisi yang dilaksanakanan kepala sekolah memberi dampak positif dalam peningkatan profesionalisme guru, dengan meningkatnya pemahaman guru bagaimana menjadi pendidik yang baik, (4) keterbatasan waktu menjadi kendala dalam pelaksanaan program supervisi, mengakibatkan tidak meratanya kegiatan supervisi untuk setiap guru sehingga upaya peningkatan kompetensi guru belum maksimal. Kata kunci: Kompetensi, Kepala Sekolah, Profesional, Guru

Abstract

ABSTRACTorganizational culture and leadership of principal are two important factors that affecting teachers’ work performance.  this study aimed to find out the influence between organizational culture and leadership on principal and work performance of teacher in state senior high boarding school unggul negeri 2 banda aceh. this research uses quantitative approach with descriptive method. the data analysis technique to test hypothesis was  multiple correlation and multiple regression. the results indicaded that: (1) there is significant influence between organizational culture and teacher’ work performance that namely 13,54%. it meant that the success of organizational culture implementation could be viewed from increased responsibility, discipline and subservience to the rules and custom; (2) there was a significant  influence between the leadership of headmaster and teachers’ work performance, namely 11.70%. this showed that the leadership of the principal influenced the work performance of teachers in general and it could be concluded that the skill possessed by the principal included conceptual skills, relationship skills with subordinates and skills as well as the conducive attitude and behavior of leadership which was very influential on teacher work performance; and (3) there is a significant influence between organizational culture and principal’s leadership on teacher’ work performance namelys 20.70%. the work performance of teachers will increase if there are the condition of relationships and healthy communication among the components of the school because with the pattern of relationships and communication which are well and good will encourage someone to do a good job.keywords: organizational culture, ladership, and work performance of teacher’s

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine work program head of the madrasa in creating education programs, implementation strategies of school-based management, and constraints faced head of the madrasa in implementing school-based management. This study used a qualitative approach. Data were collected by interview, observation, and study documentation. The procedure of data analysis is data reduction, data display, and verification. While the subject of research is the principal, vice-principals, and teachers. The results showed that: (1) The work program headmaster in educational activities functioned properly, only in the aspect of education personnel management, financial management, and financing role has not run optimally; (2) the implementation of school-based management strategies through: (a) stages of socialization, (b) the formulation of the vision, mission and goals of the school, (c) involve a number of educational resources for the achievement of prorgam school, (d) conduct a SWOT analysis of the educational program that have been implemented, (e) preparation of work plans and quality improvement programs, and (f) the implementation and evaluation of programs; and (3) Constraints faced headmaster in implementing school-based management, among others, school autonomy and management of the budget has not been implemented in a transparent and accountable.Keywords: School Based Management, and Quality of Education.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui program kerja kepala madrasah dalam mewujudkan program pendidikan, strategi penerapan manajemen berbasis sekolah, dan kendala yang dihadapi kepala madrasah dalam menerapkan manajemen berbasis sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Prosedur analisis data adalah reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi. Sedangkan subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Program kerja kepala madrasah dalam kegiatan pendidikan difungsikan dengan baik dan benar, hanya saja dalam aspek manajemen tenaga kependidikan, manajemen keuangan, dan pembiayaan perannya belum dijalankan secara optimal; (2) Strategi penerapan manajemen berbasis sekolah dilakukan melalui: (a) tahapan sosialisasi, (b) perumusan visi, misi dan tujuan sekolah, (c) melibatkan sejumlah sumber daya pendidikan untuk ketercapaian prorgam sekolah, (d) melakukan analisis SWOT terhadap program pendidikan yang sudah dilaksanakan, (e) penyusunan rencana dan program kerja peningkatan mutu, dan (f) pelaksanaan program dan evaluasi; dan (3) Kendala yang dihadapi kepala madrasah dalam menerapkan manajemen berbasis sekolah antara lain kemandirian sekolah dan manajemen pengelolaan anggaran belum dilaksanakan secara transparan dan akuntabel.Kata kunci: Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah, dan Mutu Pendidikan.

Abstract

Abstract: Management of financing is one way to improve the quality of education and learning. The aim of the research is to understand how the implementation of financial management can increase the quality of education and learning at Islamic Janarata Junior High School ( MTsN janarata). The method used is descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques, performed with data reduction, data display, conclusions and prefikasi. That is the subject of this research is the principal, vice-principal, teachers, and school treasurer. The results showed that (1) Planning of education financing at MTsN Janarata done with discussions that involve all school personnel. (2) allocation technique based on the standard of education funding priority to improve the quality of learning (3) Supervision of financing is passed by internal and external, that is internally done by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in the field of finance and ekstren by BPK. (4) Barriers experienced by principals in education funding is not fit between planning and the use of education funding allocated by the government. Clash of opinion between the principal components of the use of budget madrasah schools. The implication of this research is the establishment of a constructive management style that is encouraging every school personnel know and understand about the financing, the creation of a culture of transparency about the financing and management, the creation of a sense of responsibility attitude towards improving the quality of education in..MTsN..Janarata. Keywords: Finance Management, Education and Quality of Learning.Abstrak: Manajemen pembiayaan merupakan salah satu upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian yang dilakukan adalah untuk memahami bagaimana pelaksanaan manajemen pembiayaan dapat meningkatakan kualitas pendidikan dan pembelajaran pada MTsN janarata. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data, dilakukan dengan reduksi data, display data, pengambilan kesimpulan dan prefikasi. Yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, Guru, dan bendahara sekolah . Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Perencanaan pembiayaan pendidikan pada MTsN Janarata dilakukan dengan musyawarah yang melibatkan seluruh personil sekolah. (2) Teknik pengalokasian pembiayaan pendidikan berdasarkan kepada standar yang diprioritaskan untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran (3) Pengawasan pembiayaan dilalukan secara intern dan ekstern, yaitu secara intern dilakukan oleh Kementerian Agama bidang keuangan dan secara ekstren oleh BPKP. (4) Hambatan yang dialami oleh kepala sekolah dalam pembiayaan pendidikan adalah tidak sesuai antara perencanaan dengan penggunaan pembiayaan pendidikan yang dialokasikan pemerintah. Benturan pendapat antara kepala sekolah dengan komponen sekolah tentang penggunaan anggaran madrasah. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah terbentuknya gaya manajemen konstruktif yaitu upaya mendorong setiap personil sekolah paham dan memahami tentang pembiayaan, terciptanya budaya transparansi tentang pengelolaan pembiayaan serta, terciptanya sikap rasa tanggung jawab terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan pada MTsN Janarata.Kata kunci: Manajemen Pembiayaan, Pendidikan dan Mutu Pembelajaran

Abstract

Abstract: Educational supervision is an effort of teachers’ establishment for improving the quality of teaching learning process in school or madrasah. The purposes of this research were aimed to find out: 1) the program of educational supervision. 2) the technical of educational supervision. 3) the process of educational supervision and 4) to follow-up the educational supervision. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive method. To gain the data needed, the writer applied some techniques; observation, interview and documentation. The subjects of this research were the supervisors from The Ministry of Religious Affairs Pidie, the principal, the vise principal and the teachers MAN 1 Sigli. After analyzing the data, it has been found that: 1) the program of educational supervision organized at the beginning of the semester each year by the supervisors, the principaland the senior teacher. Supervision program includes the analysis of teachers’ ability, development of teaching learning process, development of teacher professionalism and development of curriculum analysis. 2) the appli-cation of educational supervision technique has not been optimized, so, it could not reveal the weakness of teaching learning process in detail. 3) the imple-mentation of educational supervision was conducted in regular schedule byeach teacher, the process would done through a meeting before observation, obser-vation of teaching learning process and a meeting after observation. 4) the findings of educational supervision followed by the supervisor through humanistic and professional approach. Keywords : Educational Supervision and Teaching Learning Process

Abstract

Abstract: Strategies appropriate principals are highly demanded to make a change to improve the quality of schools. The purpose of this study to determine the program, program implementation, evaluation and barriers faced by principals to improve the quality of education at the Junior High School 2 Mesjid Raya of Aceh Besar district. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Research subjects principals, vice-principals, school committee, chairman MGMPs, teachers and supervisors. Data were analyzed by reducing, display, draw conclusions and verification of data. The results showed: (1) Programs are arranged not entirely based on the consensus reached school personnel. Quality improvement programs documented in the annual program and semester program to be used as a reference in implementing the program. (2) The implementation of the quality improvement program begins with the division of tasks with daily activities forming the executive committee of the school. Programs implemented not entirely based on a predetermined schedule. If the principal is absent, then the authority to implement the program submitted to the vice-principal or a senior teacher. (3) The evaluation was conducted by a committee or team that has been formed by the principal that includes principals, vice principals, supervisors and senior teachers. Prior to the evaluation carried out, the executive committee drafting and preparing instruments evaluation beforehand. The evaluation results will be analyzed and used as a consideration in the decision making in determining the program the following year, and (4) barriers faced by principals are still lacking kediplinan teachers, most school personnel are less committed to the running quality improvement program, the principal less timely in implementing quality improvement programs, the majority of teachers are less serious when seniors do performance monitoring.Keywords: Strategy, Principal and Quality of Education Abstrak:Strategi kepala sekolah yang tepat sangat dituntut untuk melakukan suatu perubahan guna meningkatkan mutu sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui program, pelaksanaan program, Evaluasi dan hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan pada SMP Negeri 2 Unggul Mesjid Raya Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, komite sekolah, ketua MGMP, guru dan pengawas. Data dianalisis dengan cara mereduksi, display, mengambil kesimpulan dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Program disusun tidak semuanya berdasarkan hasil musyawarah personel sekolah. Program peningkatan mutu didokumentasikan dalam program tahunan dan program semester untuk dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam melaksanakan program. (2) Pelaksanaan program peningkatan mutu diawali dengan pembagian tugas dengan membentuk panitia pelaksana kegiatan harian sekolah. Program dilaksanakan tidak seluruhnya berdasarkan jadwal yang telah ditetapkan. Apabila kepala sekolah berhalangan, maka wewenang pelaksanaan program tersebut diserahkan kepada wakil kepala sekolah atau guru senior. (3) Evaluasi dilaksanakan oleh panitia atau tim yang telah dibentuk oleh kepala sekolah yang meliputi kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, pengawas dan guru senior. Sebelum evaluasi dilaksanakan, panitia pelaksana evaluasi menyusun dan menyiapkan instrumen terlebih dahulu. Hasil evaluasi akan dilakukan analisis dan dijadikan sebagai pertimbangan dalam pengambilan keputusan dalam menentukan program pada tahun berikutnya, dan (4) Hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi kepala sekolah adalah kediplinan guru masih kurang, sebagian personel sekolah kurang komitmen dalam menjalankan program peningkatan mutu, kepala sekolah kurang tepat waktu dalam melaksanakan program peningkatan mutu, sebagian guru kurang serius ketika senior melakukan pengawasan terhadap kinerjanya.  Kata Kunci: Strategi, Kepala Sekolah dan Mutu Pendidikan

Abstract

The performance of principals is a crucial factor in improving the competence of educator professional as well as teachers. This observation is intended to let us know the steps taken in devising plans and strategies and obstacles found by leaders in schools for teacher professional enhancement on Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri  Peureumeu Aceh Barat Regency. This observation uses exposure method with qualitative approach. Observation techniques, interviews, documentation and triangulation performed for data collection. Study subjects were school leaders, vice principals, MGMP leaders, and educators as well as teachers. The study results showed that: (1) The ability of school leaders to be taken in developing professional teacher improvement plans is to identify problems, analyze challenges and solve them, programming, formulating activities and formulating cost plans; (2) Strategies implemented by school leaders to improve the competence of teaching professionals as well as educators are using the stage of creating work programs, establishing and activating MGMP activities in schools, education and training, and giving permission to continue higher education; (3) Obstacles encountered in improving the professional competence of teachers is limited availability of facilities, time constraints, responsibilities sebahagian teachers who are still low and cost limitations. Abstract

Increased teacher competence is influenced by the strategy and role of the principal. The purpose of this study to know and analyze the program, strategy, evaluation and also, the supporting factors and obstacles of the Principal in improving teacher competence. Descriptive qualitative research methods, observation data collection techniques, interviews, and documentation studies, the subject is the principal, vice principal, teachers and administrative selected purposively. The results of the study show that: 1) The principal's program in improving teacher competence is done by requiring certified students to purchase books, and with MGMP school and MGMP integrated training / training activities 2). Principal strategies in improving teacher competence by analyzing initial needs, from the results of the new analysis determined what should be done to improve teacher competence, encourage teachers to pursue higher education and introduce school culture by creating a conducive school. 3) Principal evaluation of teacher competency improvement through direct supervision into the classroom, and supervision by school superintendents. 4) Principal supporting factors in improving the competence of teachers is very good, and parents' contributions are very supportive because some parents are instructors at national and regional levels, supported again by teachers at SMP Negeri 16 is a national and regional level instructors. Abstract: The management of education funding is the process of setting up and managing costs effectively and efficiently in education financing business. The cost of education is a very important component in education. The process of education cannot work without the support costs. The purpose of this study to Describe and analyze matters relating to: the budget planrevenue expenditure, the use of education funding, and oversight of education funding. The method used in this study was a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. Subjects: principals, vice principals, school treasurers, and school committees. The results showed that: the budgeting process undertaken by the principal, with the involvement of the assistant principal, department chair, treasurer, senior teachers, and school committees. The use of education funding in terms of the financial side, that all types of expenditures for education activities in schools should be shared by both the principal and the school internal parties involved in the process of preparing budgets. Oversight of education funding in Aceh Besar district SMK carried out by the principal and vice principal. Control system is by way of observing each income andexpenditure of funds. Monitoring or examination by indirect observations such as every expenditure of funds must be approved by the principal or bursar. Audits are also performed by examining the financial reports on all activities performed, awarded by the vice-principal or bursar.Key words: Management and Financing of Education
