Abstract

Use of sweet potato leaf extract to determine the blood glucose response of jelawat fish       (L. hoeveni, Blkr)  seeds maintained in the media.This study aims to determine the optimal concentration of sweet potato leaf extract to reduce the stress level of Jelawat fish (L. hoeveni, Blkr) seeds by measuring blood glucose. In this study, four treatments were used with three replications using a concentration of 2ml / L sweet potato leaf extract, 4ml / L extract concentration, 6ml / L extract concentration, and control. The results showed that the 2ml / L extract concentration was the best because it was proven that the fish blood glucose response at every 1st, 6th, 12th hour, 24th hour, 168th hour fish (L. hoeveni, Blkr)  seed blood glucose levels nettle nearly close to normal blood glucose levels in fish.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal density of jelawat (L. hoevenii Blkr) fry in rearing with a recirculation system. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications, where the treatments were: Treatment A: stocking density 5 fish/L, Treatment B: stocking density 10 birds/L, Treatment C: stocking density 15 birds/L and Treatment D : Stocking density of 20 fish/L. Parameters observed were survival, blood glucose and water quality. The results showed that the average blood glucose was 56 mg/dl and the average survival of jelawat fish was 99.62%. The results of water quality measurements show that the temperature ranges from 28.5o-29 oC, water pH ranges from 6.4-6.7, dissolved oxygen ranges from 5-5.4 ppm, carbon dioxide values ranges from 2.1-5.1 ppm, ammonia ranges from 0.0011-0.0018.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan suatu individu adalah pertambahan jaringan akibat dari pembelahan sel secara mitosis. Pertumbuhan dipengaruhi oleh dua fakor yaitu faktor intrinsik (dalam) dan ekstrinsik (luar). Faktor intrinsik meliputi sifat keturunan, umur/ukuran, ketahanan terhadap penyakit dan kemampuan memanfaatkan makanan, sedangkan faktor ekstrinsik meliputi sifat fisik dan kimiawi perairan serta komponen hayati seperti ketersediaan makanan dan kompetisi.Selain itu pertumbuhan ikan juga dipengaruhi oleh padat penebaran. Padat penebaran merupakan satu diantara aspek budidaya yang perlu diketahui karena menentukan laju pertumbuhan, dan sebagai penunjang keberhasilan produksi hingga mencapai fase selanjutnya. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengetahui kepadatan optimal larva dilakukan penelitian mengenai padat tebar optimal dengan perlakuan 5 ekor/liter air, 10 ekor/liter air, 15/liter air, 20 ekor/liter air.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada perlakuan 5 ekor/liter airmampu menghasilkan laju pertumbuhan harian sebesar 5.41%Kata kunci : Larva Koan, Kepadatan,Pertumbuhan
