Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of illustration children's stories on students' speaking abilities. This research is quantitative. The method used is a quasi experimental design with the matching only posttest group design. The population in this study was the cluster 1 SD Negeri Bengkulu City. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling. The sample in this study was class 2B SD Negeri 1 Bengkulu City as an experimental class and class 2B SD Negeri 7 Bengkulu City as a control class. The instrument used in the study was the observation sheet of speaking ability. Data collection techniques based on posttest results using observation sheets. Data analysis techniques are by looking for means (mean) and variance, normality test with the Liliefors formula, homogeneity test and t-test. Based on the results of the normality test that the data are normally distributed. The experimental class obtained a speaking ability score with a percentage of 78.1% in the very good criteria, while the control class spoke the ability to speak with a percentage of 64.6% in the good criteria. The t-test results showed that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected because tcount > ttable with tcount 13,6 and ttable 12,8 which means that there was an influence of children's picture stories on students' speaking abilities

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of outdoor learning method by utilizing used goods on learning outcomes in Thematic learning in grade IV SD Group 11 Bengkulu City. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with the design of the study of the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study is all students of class IV SD group 11 consisting of 7 elementary schools. Based on the homogeneity test results, the sample in this study were the students of grade IV B SDN 44 as the experimental class and the students of class IV A SDN 55 as the control class. The research instrument used is; (1) a matter of objective test consisting of 30 items;(2) attitude observation sheet; and (3) skill observation sheet. Data analysis used is descriptive analysis, prerequisite test and inferential analysis that is t-test. Based on data analysis of research results, obtained the average value of posttest result of experimental class using outdoor learning method that is 72,00 and control class using conventional learning that is 67,50. T-test of both sample classes with significance level ? = 0.05, obtained count = 4,241 whereas ttable = 1,680, tcount > ttable so that H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. The increase of research result percentage in experiment class is higher than control class that is 75,31% in experimental class and control class 64,87%. Thus it can be concluded there is a significant effect of student learning outcomes that follow the learning using outdoor learning method.

Abstract

The aims in this study to determines the correlation between understanding of folklore language style against reading interest on the V grade students in SDN 17 Bengkulu city. Research method using correlational with quantitative. The population are 46 people located in SDN 17 bengkulu city. The sampling technique used saturated side (census. Questionnaire and data is a data collection technique with a questionnaire for assessing reading interest in the home of 20 item statements while the test for understanding the style with 5 questions that serve as benchmark. Data analysis techniques use the correlation statistics "Product Moment". The results showed that there is a correlation between understanding the style of language in folklore against reading interest. It is proved by rcount = 0,600 bigger than rtable that is 0,355 with significant level 5%. Thus, the hypothesis is proved and accepted. It’s means that reading foklore, making someone will increase interest reading, then someone will understand the style of Language by it self.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh mendongengdengan metode storytelling games terhadap sikap peduli sosial siswakelas V SDN 49 Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitiankuantitatif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah QuaisyEksperimen Design dengan jenis desain The Matching Only PretestPosttest Group Design. Pengambilan tes sebanyak dua kali yaitu sebelumdan sesudah memberikan perlakuan (treatment) pada kelas sampel.Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas V di SDN 49 Kota Bengkulu,dimana kelas V A sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas V B sebagai kelaseksperimen. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar angketyang diberikan melalui pretest (sebelum pembelajaran berlangsung) danposttest (setelah pembelajaran berlangsung). Data hasil penelitian inidianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial yaituuji-t. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa rata-rata pretest padakelompok kontrol sebesar 52,55 dan kelompok eksperimen sebesar 54,75.Sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest kelompok eksperimen sebesar 65,00dan nilai rata-rata kelompok kontrol sebesar 51,30. Hasil uji-t posttestkelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh thitung sebesar 4,419 danttabel 2,024. Jadi thitung (4,419) > ttabel (2,024). Nilai thitung yangdiperoleh lebih tinggi dari ttabel maka dapat disimpulkan bahwaterdapat pengaruh mendongeng dengan metode storytelling gamesterhadap sikap peduli sosial siswa kelas V SDN 49 Kota Bengkulu.Kata kunci: Medongeng, Metode Storytelling Games, Sikap Peduli Sosial.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of IPS learning in thenatural classroom in class V B Elementary School Mahira Bengkulu.This research is a qualitative research. The research subjects are VBgrade teachers and VB class students. The research instrument is theresearcher itself using observation sheets, interviews and documentation.Data collection techniques use observation guidelines, interviews anddocumentation. Data analysis techniques are data collection, datareduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The technique ofdata validity through prolongation of observation, increasing persistenceand triangulation. The results showed that the teacher did the planningstages of making Lesson Plan and Creating a Daily Plan. At theimplementation stage, the teacher does not deliver the learning objectives,does not convey the scope of the learning material, does not introduce thenatural class, does not facilitate the students in summarizing thematerial. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that theVB class teacher has not adjust the planning with the implementation, inthe implementation of the teacher does not convey the purpose of learning,conveying the material coverage, introducing the nature class, difficult toorganize the students and not concluding the learning. In the evaluationof the teacher did not make the format of the assessment.Keywords: IPS Learning, Outdoor Classroom

Abstract

The purpose of the research knew for influencing cooperative learning model in type concept sentence by using picture media in writing poem at V grade SDN Gugus IX Bengkulu. This research was quantitative. Reasearch Method used Quasy Experimental Research in design resarch The Matching Only Pretest-Posttset Group Design. The populations of the reasearch were students at V SDN Gugus IX bengkulu. Technique collecting data used cluster random sampling. The sample of the research was to group of work, consisted at VC SDN 82 Bengkulu (experimental class) and VA SDN 73 Bengkulu (Control Class). Research instrument  used writing skill test of poem which gave pre test before teaching learning process and post test after teaching learning process. the data of the result could analyze by using descriptive analysis, test and T-test  inferencial analysis. Data of the result knew the Mean of pre test at experimental class (58) and post test (79), while the Mean pre test at control class (57) and post test (73). The result T-test of post test on control group of experimental showed that the result of T-test 3,97 was more than T-test on significant 5% as 1,67 so Ha received and H0 refused. It means that the influencing of cooperative learning model in type concept sentence by using picture media in writing poem implemented at V grade SDN Gugus IX Bengkulu.

Abstract

Character values are very important for the world of education to form good attitudes and behavior of students so that they have good actions. However, now there is a decrease in character values to students. Including, lack of interest in reading, lack of manners to old people, and lack of empathy towards fellow friends.  Effort made to for the cultivation of character values occurs in the process of learning and habituation. The research about “a Descriptive Study of the Values of Fairy Tale Characters in the Thematic Book of Grade II Elementary School Students with Indonesian Language Theme Togetherness” is character value cultivation there are learning process, have a statement of problem about fairy tale character values contained in the thematic student book class II the theme of togetherness. The aims to desribe of analysis researh about caharacter value contained in fairy tale in the Thematic Book of Grade II Elementary School Students with Indonesian Language Theme Togetherness. In the thematic Book theme togetherness contained 9 stories there are, ingenuity breeds kindness, ducks always live in harmony, Kiki and Kiku, the friendship of an eagle and a rooster, the story of a cat and a mouse, a butterfly with a noble heart, an ant and a grasshopper, the origins of the city of surabaya, the friendship of an elephant and a mouse. This research used decriptive qualitative with subject research Fairy Tale Characters in the Thematic Book of Grade II Elementary School Students with Indonesian Language Theme Togetherness. Result of thid research about Fairy Tale Characters in the Thematic Book of Grade II Elementary School Students with Indonesian Language Theme Togetherness obtained as many as eleven character values there are, religious, honest, tolerant, disciplined, hard working, creative, independent, curiosity, love peace, social care and responsibility. The form of delivery of moral values that often appears directly is the form of delivery through characters.

Abstract

This research aims to develop comicmaterials based onin Bengkulu City Elementary Schools. This type of research is the  Research and Development (R & D) with moedel ADDIE: Analyisis (Analysis),  Design (design), Development (development), Implementation (Implementation),  Evaluation (Evaluation). However, this research and development only reaches thestage Development . The validation was carried out by two material experts and one design expert. The teaching materials developed were rated by two grade IV teachers of 68 Elementary Schools in Bengkulu City. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis of the results of expert validation assessments and teacher responses, and qualitative descriptive analysis of comments and suggestions from expert validation and teacher responses. From the results of the material expert validation, it was obtained a value of 89.3% with the very valid category, the design expert validation obtained a value of 96% with the very valid category. The recapitulation of values from the validation of material experts and design experts obtained an average of 92.95%. Teacher I's response obtained a value of 86.15% and teacher II's response obtained a value of 89.23% with a very valid category. The recapitulation of the value of the teacher's responses obtained an average of 87.69%, so that the product of Comic Learning Materials based on Folklore is very valid and very feasible to use.  Keywords: Development, Teaching Materials, Comics, Folklore

Abstract

This study aims to determine the moral values ​​contained in the Bengkulu folklore about the legend of the golden bird. This moral value is reflected in the behavior and actions of the characters in each character in the story. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive analysis. The type of source data is a document or archive in the form of Bengkulu folk tales taken from the Rejang folklore book. The data analysis technique uses the Conten Analysis technique (content analysis). The results showed that in Bengkulu folklore, the Legend of the Golden Bird, there is a value of human relations with oneself, (b) the value of human relationships with other humans in the social sphere including relationships with the environment, and (c) the value of human relations with God. The value of human moral relationship with oneself is in the form of hard work, determination, intelligence, realistic life, honesty, generosity, courage, humility, patience, courtesy, toughness, right promises, and diligence. The value of human moral relations with other humans in the social sphere includes relationships with the natural environment in the form of good attention to others, living in harmony, cooperation, apologizing, seizing, appreciating, respecting parents, advising, helping, feeling openness, envy, and feeling affection. The value of the moral relationship between humans and God is in the form of gratitude, God is the recipient of the reward.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning model assisted by audio-visual media on students' cognitive learning outcomes in science subjects of grade IV Elementary School in Cluster 12 Bengkulu City. This type of research is quantitative research. The research method used is quasi-experimental design. With the design type "the matching only pretest-posttest control group design". The population in this study was Elementary School of Cluster 12 Bengkulu City. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling technique. The samples in this study were class IV SDN 81 Bengkulu City as the experimental class and class IV SDN 99 Bengkulu City as the control class. The research instruments used were pretest and posttest of science cognitive learning outcomes given to experimental and control groups. The data analysis method in this study is quantitative analysis using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, namely the t-test. From the results of the t-test calculation of the posttest value of students' science cognitive learning outcomes, namely tcount = 8.87 is greater than the ttable value = 1.67. It shows that there is a significant difference between the posttest scores of the experimental and control classes. Based on the results of the difference in the posttest scores of students' cognitive learning outcomes, there is a significant effect with a scale of 5% on the use of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by audio-visual media on students' cognitive learning outcomes in science subjects of grade IV Elementary School in Cluster 12 Bengkulu City.
