Abstract

This study aims to evaluate swimming coaching in SONS using the CIPP evaluation model. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained are analyzed qualitatively by steps, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study concludes: 1) the evaluation of the context of the implementation of coaching has not been directed and does not have planning guidelines must be improved as early as possible, 2) Evaluation of inputs in the selection process of coaches, athletes, infrastructure and funding is still not effective, 3) evaluation process consisting of training programs, competitions, health of athletes and coaches and coordination has not run optimally, 4) evaluation of SONS coaching products from the aspect of medal achievement can be assumed to have not been successful. Furthermore, an assessment and determination of each component is evaluated. The results of the analysis and determination of decisions are then used as a basis for improving each program and improving and providing decisions, researchers provide recommendations to SONS stakeholders so that they are directed to plan coaching to excel in the future.

Abstract

Effective learning is an important aspect for students as a provision for the introduction of field schooling (PLP) for students. The purpose of this study was to determine how much students can apply effective learning models in the learning process when following PLP, as well as how the application of these models affect the effectiveness of learning when following PLP. The design of research conducted in this study is qualitative research with descriptive approach. The population in this study as many as 55 students and then sampled a number of 30 students with random sampling. The results of the observation sheet showed that most students (70%) can apply effective learning models in the learning process when following PLP. While the other 30% still have difficulty in implementing the model. The results of data reduction from interview sheets showed that most students (80%) stated that the application of effective learning models in PLP makes learning more fun and effective. Another 20% stated that they had difficulties in implementing the model. The results of data reduction from the questionnaire showed that most students choose expository learning (20%) Problem-Based (60%) and cooperative learning (15%), most students can apply problem-based learning models in the learning process when attending PLP. This can be seen from the reduction of observation sheet data which shows that 70% of students can apply the model. The results of interviews and questionnaires also showed that most students stated that the application of effective learning models in PLP makes learning more fun and effective.

Abstract

The background of this research aims to analyze the effect of upper and lower start sprint training on 50 meters freestyle swimming speed in the megalodon swimming club. This type of research is a quasi-experiment. With a two groups pretest posttest research method. The subjects of this research were 14 male athletes from the KU-1 swimming club, divided into two groups, each group consisting of 7 people. The results of the study showed that the top and bottom sprint start training influenced the 50 meters freestyle swimming speed seen from the average and the paired t test hypothesis test on the pretest sprint start from the top getting an average value of 32.67 and the posttest sprint start from the top obtained a mean value of 30.29. The Paired Sample T-test on the sprint start from the bottom pretest obtained a mean value of 32.43 and the sprint start from the bottom posttest obtained a mean value of 31.86. The difference between the mean pretest and posttest sprint start from the bottom was 0.57, the independent sample t-test on the sprint start from the top group got a mean value of 30.29 and the sprint start from the bottom group got a mean value of 31.86. The average difference between sprint starts from the top and bottom is 1.57, which means there is a difference in swimming speed. An increase in the results of the 50 meters swimming speed occurred in the experimental group because the experimental group was given sprint start training from the top and bottom for 8 weeks repeatedly with training twice a week. Repeated 50 meters swimming training results in an increase in 50 meters freestyle swimming speed.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine empirically the effectiveness and results of the footwork technique training model for badminton athletes aged 9-11 years. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall model. The data analysis technique uses the t test with SPSS software to test effectiveness. The effectiveness test was carried out on athletes aged 9-11 years in Tasikmalaya. From the calculation results it is known that the pre-test average is 2.41 and the post-test average is 3.52. Thus, it can be concluded that the badminton footwork training model for athletes aged 9 - 11 years can be developed and implemented and is effective in improving the accuracy of badminton footwork movements.
