Abstract

People use pineapples, one of which is as a cooking ingredient where pineapples are processed and eaten or can be served directly. However, what is not widely known by the public is that pineapple can be used as an antiseptic because pineapple has antibacterial activity. In the manufacture of this antiseptic where only the pineapple hump is used. So far, the pineapple weevil is known to the public only as garbage and cannot be used for anything, but the pineapple weevil can be used as an antiseptic, so that people can know and not throw away the pineapple weevil, but the community can use it as an antiseptic. With this counseling, the community in SidodadiPatumbak Village can know and practice what has been conveyed.

Abstract

A condition characterized by a disturbance in the amount, quality or time of sleep in an individual is often referred to as insomnia. Sleep disturbances can interfere physically, emotionally, cognitively, and socially in adults. The magnitude of the possibility of academic, emotional, health, and behavioral problems in adults can be prevented or corrected, this fact shows significantly through intervention, through improving the quality and quantity of sleep by having the advantages of lemongrass aromatherapy which without causing side effects at all is able to overcome the reduction of insomnia. Citronella essential oil has been used for centuries to reduce rashes, inflammation, infection, pain and other health conditions. The method used through health education is aimed at achieving changes in the behavior of individuals, families and communities in fostering and maintaining health, playing an active role in optimizing health in accordance with healthy living physically, mentally and socially. Providing counseling with the method used is the lecture method by explaining and explaining an understanding, idea or message orally to the target group.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian dan Penyuluhan kepada Masyarakat merupakan salah satu dari bagian program Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang harus dilakukan. SMK Al-Washliyah 3 Medan yang terletak Kelurahan Harjosari I, Kecamatan Medan Amplas Kota Medan merupakan tempat dilakukannya penyuluhan..Daun singkong diketahui memiliki kandungan metabolit sekunder berupa saponin, triterpenoid, tannin dan flavonoid yang berperan sebagai senyawa pertahanan bagi tumbuhan yang bersifat menghambat makan serangga dan juga bersifat toksik serta sianida yang menyebabkan kerusakan spirakel, yang mengakibatkan nyamuk tidak bisa bernafas dan akhirnya mati. Tujuan dari penyuluhan ini untuk memberikan penjelasan tentang Pengenalan profesi Apoteker dimana masih ada siswa/i yang belum bias membedakan profesi Apoteker denan tenaga kesehatan lainnya. Kegiatan ini di sambut dengan antusias pihak sekolah dan Siswa/i karena dapat memberikan informasi dan dapat mengedukasi tentang pemanfaatan bahan alam yaitu duan singkong dapat dugunakan sebagai anti nyamuk yang diolah secara modern dalam bentuk sediaan spray yang aman serta ramah lingkungan.
