Abstract

Results of the observation shows that students are still passive during the learning process in which influence their learning achievement. A learning model of Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFaE) is effective to make the students explain the materials to their friends also to train students in expressing their ideas bravely. This study combines SFaE with Roundhouse diagram that makes students easier to understand and explain the materials of learning. The research was conducted for the tenth grade students of SMA N 1 Jekulo. A purposive sampling was used as the sampling technique, and two classes were used as the sample. The T-test shows that the t-value is more than t-table for 2.71 > 1.67 with which means H0 is rejected. This condition means that the average results of the experimental class is higher than the control class. The results of analysis on students’activity in the experimantal class is around 91.76% students are in the category of active until very active, and 8.33% are in the category of medium. In the control class, around 80.56% students are in the category of active until very active, and 19.44% are in the category of medium. In conclusion, the use of learning model Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFaE) with a Roundhouse diagram is effective to improve students’activity and achievement in the learning material of Virus.

Abstract

With advances in science and information technology, the learning process which initially used conventional learning has shifted to technology-based learning. In the global era, students make smartphones a necessity in life. Android smartphones have a positive impact if the content is filled with educational content and can be used as fun and interesting learning suggestions. The unavailability of android-based learning media in biology lessons on the Human Reproductive System material. The purpose of this research is to develop my repro media in learning the Human Reproductive System in class XI MIPA. The research location is SMA 2 Bae and SMA 1 Bae. The type of research used is research and development. The development model used is the 4D development model. Data collection techniques, namely questionnaires and objective tests in the form of multiple choice totaling 30 questions. My repro media is considered very feasible based on the validation of 86% media experts and 81% material experts. The percentage of eligibility from the teacher and student questionnaire is 87%. My repro media is effective on learning outcomes which are characterized by moderate to high N-Gain values of > 80% of the 95 students.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the way people live, including in the field of education. One of them is WFH (work from home), which causes the learning process to be carried out from home by online. Students found it difficult to understand the material during online learning which caused learning outcomes to decrease. On the other hand, the development of technology and information can be used so that it is beneficial for education. The advantages of learning video media greatly assist the teacher in conveying the material to be delivered and students better understand the material presented by the teacher. For this reason, it was necessary to develop video-based media for learning the Reproductive System material. The purpose of this study was to analyze the validity, feasibility, and influence of media effectiveness on student learning outcomes based on learning videos on the Reproductive System material. The research steps that were passed used the 4D development model, namely Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The research instruments used were student questionnaire sheets, interview sheets, validity sheets, teacher and student response questionnaire sheets, as well as pre-test/post-test sheets. The results of research on the Reproductive System learning video media have met the criteria of being very valid by media experts at 98% and valid by material experts with a score of 72%, the media feasibility score is 94% or very feasible by a questionnaire of teachers and students, and learning video media is effective in improving results student learning on the subject of the Human Reproductive System at SMA Negeri 1 Banjarnegara.
