Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the process of developing a learning media simulator for electro-pneumatic systems based on dual design, (2) knowing the effectiveness of learning media in the form of electro-pneumatic system simulators based on dual design. This research is a research and development adapted from the 4D development model, namely, Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The subjects of this study were students of Mechanical Engineering Education in Semester IV and V, with 30 students taking pneumatic hydraulic courses. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires and interviews with research instruments in the form of interview guidelines and questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed with a descriptive quantitative method. The results show that (1) the results of the development of learning media for electro-pneumatic system simulators based on Dual Design as supporting media for electro-pneumatic practices produce three main components, namely the working system in the pneumatic electro system, wiring diagrams, and electrical circuits, (2) the feasibility results of expert validation media is 84% (Very Good), expert material validation is 92% (Very Good), and user validation is 86% (Very Good). Therefore, the learning media for electro-pneumatic system simulator is feasible as a learning media in pneumatic hydraulic courses.

Abstract

The electrical topic is considered a material that is difficult to understand because electricity is a substance that is not seen but can be felt. The objectives of this study were 1.) to develop digital textbooks for basic electricity materials based on problem-based learning; 2.) to analyze the feasibility of digital textbook products for basic electricity materials based on problem-based learning. This research is development research using the 4D model, namely define, design, develop, disseminate. This study involved language, material, and media experts in validating research products. The research subjects were students of technical engineering vocational education in one of the public universities in Indonesia who took Basic Electrical and Electronics courses, namely 25 students. The data collection technique used interviews, document analysis, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the research results that have been done, it has resulted in several conclusions, namely; 1.) Development of digital textbooks on basic electricity materials based on problem-based learning is carried out by referring to the 4D model development steps, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate; 2.) The appropriateness of digital textbooks according to the media expert's assessment of getting a mean score of 3.61 is declared very good, the material expert's assessment is 3.52, which is declared very good, and the user response gets an assessment of 3.51, which is declared very good Theoretically developed digital textbooks are able to increase student interest and motivation to learn basic electrical materials in an easy way.

Abstract

This study aimed to know: 1.) Describe the development of augmented reality books in the differential system; and 2.) Analyze the feasibility level of the application on the augmented reality book differential system. This study uses research and development (R&D) with the waterfall development design model, which includes four stages: analysis, design, coding or implementation, and testing. This study's sample was 11th-grade vocational high school students majoring in automotive light vehicle engineering. Application testing uses black-box testing by testing functionality without testing the internal structure or function of the application. The data collection used in this study included three media experts, three material experts, and 30 user responses (students) with data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis. The results of this study are (1) augmented reality books and applications on the android platform as learning media on the differential system, and (2) feasibility analysis by media expert validation with an average value of 80%, material experts with an average value of 84% and user responses with an average value of 90 % with a total value of 85% with the 'very eligible' category to be used as a learning medium in the differential system of chassis and power transfer competencies. Research products can be used as an attractive alternative learning media by utilizing digital technology that can display 3D objects in detail on the competence of the differential system.

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that combines two-dimensional and or three-dimensional virtual objects into a real environment and then projects these virtual objects in reality in real time. Through this AR technology, users can see virtual objects added to the real world with contextual information. In education, AR has been widely used to complement the standard curriculum. Text, graphics, video, and audio can be superimposed into the student's real-time environment. This article aims to examine how the application and impact of the use of AR in vocational education. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method is used to identify, study, evaluate, and interpret Augmented Reality in vocational education. Research data were identified using the SLR method with the help of the PRISMA 2020 form. Article collection was carried out on the Science Direct database. There were as many as 454 articles. After being selected using inclusion and exclusion criteria, the data used were 14 articles. The study results reveal that AR is applied in learning as an innovative learning medium, a new approach to learning to improve students' understanding of knowledge and skills and provide a concrete learning experience. The integration of AR in education has the impact of increasing students' understanding and learning experience, promoting positive attitudes, making the learning process fun and interesting, and learning efficiency
