Abstract

This development research aims to produce valid, practical and effective SiMaYang Type 2-based learning tools to improve Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and multiple representation abilities in reaction rate materials. The development model used in this study refers to the ADDIE development model developed by Robert Marie Branch (2009) covering 5 stages, namely (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, (5) Evaluation . The tools developed in this research are Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKPD), modules, HOTS assessment instruments, and multiple representation ability instruments. The quality test phase of the SiMaYang Type 2-based learning device and the supporting instruments that will be used in the research is carried out through a validity test given to two validators. A limited trial of the use of SiMaYang Type 2-based learning tools was carried out on 15 class XII IPA students. Field trials were carried out on 56 students of class XI IPA. The results showed that the SiMaYang Type 2-based learning device developed met the product quality, namely: 1) the validity included: (a) lesson plans with a value of 3.48 (valid), (b) LKPD with a value of 3.58 (very valid) , (c) module with a value of 3.40 (valid), and (d) HOTS assessment instrument with a value of 0.77 (valid); 2) practicality includes: (a) the implementation of learning tools with a score of 1.80 in the fully implemented category, (b) teacher responses to learning tools with a value of 93.42% in the very practical category, (c) student responses 80.75% meet the very positive category; 3) effectiveness includes: (a) the ability of teachers to manage learning with a value of 3.38 is in the good category, (b) the ability of multiple representations of students with a value of 3.01 in the high category, (c) student activities of 76.22 % in good category, and (4) HOTS assessment with a pretest average of 14.30% in the low category and an average posttest of 78.01% in the medium category and the N-gain result of 0.76 in the high category. Thus, the results of the study indicate that the SiMaYang Type 2 learning model-based learning device has valid, practical and effective qualities.

Abstract

This study is a development research that aims to produce STEAM-based electronic learning device on colloid material to increase student’s interest and learning achievement that are valid, practical and effective. The development model uses the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages : (1) the analysis phase includes curriculum analysis, student analysis, concept analysis, formulation of learning objectives, and task analysis; (2) the design, which includes the stage of selecting the format and initial design of the RPP, e-module and E-LKPD using the Canva application; (3) the device development stage by integrating STEAM aspects and following the Project Based Learning (PjBL) syntax; (4)the deployment stage is the testing phase of learning tools that have been validated by experts and have been revised by developers; (5) the evaluation phase includes the evaluation of learning devices after going through the trial phase. Analysis of the results of the validation of RPP, e-Modul and e-LKPD based on the STEAM PjBL model, namely 3.53; 3.80; and 3.77 very valid categories. Practical based on the practicality test by looking at the implementation of STEAM-based learning the PjBL model has an average value of M = 1.87 which means that it is fully implemented; the responses of students and teachers were very positive with a percentage of 90.91% and 85.25%. Learning Devices also meet the effective criteria because the class completeness reaches 84.85% and the n-gain results in increasing interest in learning are in the medium criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce inqury-based animated multimedia to improve chemistry learning outcomes in the reaction rate material, to find the quality of multimedia animation, and to find the responses given by both students and educators to the multimedia animation developed. The type of research used is  Research and Development (R & D), with the type of Plomp Model where the Plomp development model consists of five stages, namely: (1) initial inevestigation stage, (2) design stage, (3) stage of realization, (4) the stage of testing, evaluation, and revision, (5) the implementation phase. The data analysis technique used in this  research is a quantitative method using a questionnaire instrument student activity observation sheet, and Model Validation Sheet. The results of content validation were analyzed using Gregory method by using 2x2 Tabulations. Futhermore, the results of the  evaluation of the contents of the interpretation of the multimedia feasibility of the animation developed. Multimedia quality produced by referring to Nieveen’s criteria, namely validity, practice, and effectiveness Based on the validation of expert validators and education practitioners as well as detailed trials that have been carried out shows that multimedia animation developed are considered appropriate to be used as media learning.
