Abstract

Jahe merah dengan nama latin Zingiber officinale var. Rubrum memiliki kandungan minyak atsiri sebesar 2,58-2,72%. Selain itu, kandungan senyawa kimia aktif seperti gingerol, zingeron, shogaol, gingerin dan zingerberin dalam jahe merah menyebabkan jahe merah memiliki khasiat yang besar untuk kesehatan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan kepada masyarakat di Desa Darmaraja, Kecamatan Lumbung, Kabupaten Ciamis. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan penyuluhan budidaya dan pengolahan tanaman jahe merah dengan menggunakan teknologi bag culture, yaitu sistem bertanam di dalam karung bekas atau polybag besar. Budidaya dan pengolahan jahe merah juga dilakukan untuk menumbuhkan semangat masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan pekarangan rumah. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan cara pelatihan budidaya dan pengolahan tanaman jahe merah. Setelah pelatihan dilaksanakan, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai penanaman Jahe Merah dengan teknologi bag culture. Masyarakat memberikan respons yang sangat positif terhadap kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan dan menilai kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat. Selain itu, kegiatan ini dapat mendorong kemandirian ekonomi mitra dengan memanfaatkan jahe merah yang ditanam di pekarang untuk diolah menjadi bubuk jahe yang dapat dikonsumsi baik secara pribadi atau dijual secara komersial. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a decline in people's purchasing power, especially for household consumption. Therefore, to alleviate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the community is directed to be able to meet food needs through food security. The purpose of this service is to provide training on horticultural crop cultivation using sosog to the people of Tanjungsari Village, Rajadesa District, Ciamis Regency. The method used is by way of material presentation, question and answer and guided training. After the training activities were carried out, there was an increase in community knowledge and skills both in terms of knowledge about the types and benefits of horticultural plants and how to grow horticultural crops using sosog along with how to care for them. The community gave a positive response to the activities carried out. This activity is considered useful by the community and is a form of optimizing the potential of the Tanjungsari Village community, most of which are farmers and woven bamboo craftsmen to be able to meet food needs through sosog as a planting medium.

Abstract

Several Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia have begun to transform to make students able to live independently by entrepreneurship. The pesantren curriculum, which used to only focus on studying, is currently coupled with the existence of an entrepreneurial curriculum. One of the Islamic Boarding Schools that has developed entrepreneurship is the Al-Mu'aawanah Islamic Boarding School, Ciamis Regency by implementing entrepreneurship in the subjects of Prakarya and entrepreneurship (PKWU). PKWU is one of the subjects with the hope that students can produce and create more creative, innovative, increase the value of sensibility to the progress of the times while appreciating technology, local wisdom. In addition, students are expected to be able to become entrepreneurs after producing products that have been made. One of the Prakarya and Entrepreneurship learning activities studied at the Al-Mu'aawanah Islamic Boarding School is the cultivation of kale plants. Santri Pondok Pesantren Al-Mu'aawanah had the idea to process kale into chips. The priority problem of Pondok Pesantren Al-Mu'aawanah after successfully cultivating kale plants is excessive harvest but not supported by maximum processing and marketing. Kale processing is still carried out traditionally, namely not utilizing machine technology in production activities, causing production results to be low. Furthermore, the marketing of kale chips is still done manually, namely that it has not utilized digitalization technology so that the production results cannot be distributed optimally. The rapid development of technology can be used to support kale processing activities, namely using Vacuum Frying technology and the use of digitalization technology for marketing processed kale products based online, one of which is through e-commerce. The methods used in the training activities are lecture methods, question-and-answer discussions, then continued with the practice of making an e-commerce system. This activity is expected to help the students of The Al-Mu'aawanah Islamic Boarding School in growing entrepreneurship and food security. Activities are planned to run for 7 months starting from preparation, implementation of counseling and training, and reporting
