Abstract

Sorogan method is the main learning strategy in Islamic boarding schools, including when teaching the Koran. The implementation was not very different from the Madrasah Diniyah (Primary School established by the ministry of religious affairs in 1964 to study only Islamic religious sciences), especially in the Diniyah Takmiliyah Faidlul Barokat Madrasah (MDTFB). The results of the study indicate that there have been efforts made by caregivers to overcome the inhibiting factors of the Koran's learning and to consider its supporting factors. Suggestions intended for each student, parent guardian and caregiver teacher can then be given.

Abstract

What the relationships is like between educator and learner have actually been given in the Qur'an. Hamka is basically not a specialist in the field of education, inspite of this, he has heartedly investigated the aforementioned relationships as revealed in his monumental book of commentary, Tafsir al-Azhar, especially in Surat al-Alaq Verse 1-5. The relationships is build-up based on a pattern of learner-centered education which is different from educator-centered education pattern. The former is characteristically modern and the latter pattern is traditional in orientation. As an oustanding public figure raised-up in a religious environtment and actively engaged in struggle with the modernists movement in Indonesia, it is only natural that Hamka emphasizes the learner-centered pattern of education which is widely seen as a modern educational trend.

(3) Religious activities such as remembrance, istigosah, commemoration of Islamic holidays, haul, and once moved pilgrimage to Wali Sanga or scholars. The obstacle that changes the teacher in improving the religious character of MTs Nurul Ummah students is the difference in the character of students which makes it difficult for teachers to improve the religious character of students simultaneously and improve communication between teachers. The solution made by teachers in improving the religious character of MTs Nurul Ummah students is that the teachers communicate with each other by sharing, deliberation and holding meetings between teachers both with the cottage / dormitory in order to create students with religious character.

Abstract

The conflict between the Muslim-Thai community and the Royal Thai Government for quite a long time since the acquisition of Southern Thailand Muslim areas (Yala, Narathiwat, Pattani, Songkhla and Satun) from Britain into the Thai kingdom under the umbrella of the Anglo-Siamese Treaty 1909. This historical research intends to answer one question: why did the Muslim-Thai conflict with the Royal Thai Government drag on? As a result, the Thai Government's initial program was to build nationalism with a Buddhist state ideology through the use of the Thai language with the Thai Rathaniyom jargon, which means Thailand for the Thai people. Malay language is prohibited, Islamic educational institutions must follow national education standards. This is where the Muslim-Thai resistance begins. The resistance varied to voice the aspirations of Muslim-Thai residents in the South who wanted them to be given the authority to manage themselves.
