Abstract

One of the quality assurance programs is collimator testing on X-ray aircraft. According to KMK no. 1250 of 2009 Collimator testing on Sinr-X aircraft is carried out once a month. The Bhayangkara Hospital Radiology Installation already has a quality assurance program for radiography equipment, however collimator testing on aircraft is not carried out routinely, most recently in August 2020 when the X-ray aircraft was installed and when licensing was to be carried out. The service team wants to provide conformity testing services related to collimator testing and provide motivation to partners to routinely carry out equipment quality control programs through socialization and assistance in conformity testing of X-ray aircraft collimators in accordance with KMK No. 1250 concerning quality control. The research results show that a quality control program for X-ray aircraft already exists but has not been carried out routinely, the results of collimator field area testing experienced deviations that were still within the normal limit below the standard, namely less than 2%. To ensure that the X-ray aircraft is in good condition and to ensure that the radiation dose to the patient does not occur again, a quality control program should be carried out periodically.

Abstract

7 components of the Radiation Safety Management System (Radiation SMK3) that must be applied in the use of radioactive substances or other radiation sources. Implementation at the Bhayangkara Hospital Radiology Installation in Seamarang contained components that were not optimal, including storage and education and training. The aim of this activity is to increase the knowledge of radiation officers about the 7 components of radiation SMK3. The methods used are lectures and discussions. The results of community service activities for radiation workers are increased knowledge and understanding of the counseling material provided. This can be seen from the discussion and question and answer sessions given to the audience who were able to respond and answer the questions given well according to the material provided by the service team.

Abstract

Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers suffered by people in the world, especially those who have a habit of smoking. But unfortunately, many of those who suffer from lung cancer get help too late because they are late or do not realize the symptoms that appear. Because it is too late, the success of the treatment is also low because they ignore the symptoms that appear from the start. The goal to be achieved in this community service activity is to increase knowledge about lung cancer and a healthy lifestyle with CERDIK behavior and increase public awareness and concern to carry out screening and early detection of lung cancer for people at risk. After the community service program was implemented with lecture, discussion and question and answer methods. The results obtained were an increase in knowledge about lung cancer, a healthy lifestyle with CERDIK behavior in partner group members. As well as an increase in the ability and awareness of partner group members in implementing a healthy lifestyle with CERDIK behavior and efforts to screen and detect lung cancer early with radiological examinations.
