Abstract: This study aims to determine the critical thinking skills of junior high school students in Newtons Law material. This research is included in descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research subjects were 28 students III A SMP Negeri 4 Belik. Data instruments were written tests of 10 multiple choice questions to measure students' critical thinking skills. The results showed that the student test results were 14.29% (very low category), 57.14% (low category), 10.70% (medium category), 14.30% high category) and 3.57% (medium category). ) very high). While achieving indicators of critical thinking skills for indicators: providing basic explanations (62.50%), building abilities (55.40%), concluding (25.00%), making further explanations (35.70% ), strategy and tactics (67.90%). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the critical thinking skills of class VIII A at SMP Negeri 4 Belik in Newtons law material are still low with an average score of 49.29.Key Words: Critical thinking ability; Newtons law

Science literacy is the ability to use scientific knowledge to identify questions, explain scientific phenomena that occur using contextual facts. The circulation theme is one of the themes of contextual learning that is very closely related to everyday life. This study aims to determine the scientific literacy skills of students in blood circulation material at the junior high school level. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with scientific literacy instruments in the form of tests with research subjects 38 students of SMP N 4 Belik class VIIID academic year 2018/2019. The results of this study indicate that students' literacy skills in the category are low. This can be seen from the aspect of identifying valid scientific opinions (58%), understanding the design elements of the research findings (24%), being able to solve questions based on scientific phenomena (32%), understanding and interpreting basic statistics (21%) and students able to make inferences, predictions, and draw conclusions based on data (39%). The value obtained by students is divided into four categories of values obtained by students, which are very low, low, sufficient, and high based on the results of research, the average literacy skills of students in the low category. The conclusion of this study is that the science literacy skills of junior high school students are low on aspects of understanding and interpreting basic statistics. Abstract: This study aims to analyze students' critical thinking skills in science education on the subject matter of classification of material and its changes. This study included quantitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were the eighth-grade students of MTs Wahid Hasyim Warungasem, Batang with a total of 27 students. The technique of collecting data uses the questions of critical thinking skills which number ten questions. The results showed that critical thinking skills in the basic explanatory aspects were 31% (low category), building basic skills by 61% (medium category), concluded by 17% (very low category), making further explanations of 46% (medium category), and strategy and technique of 20% (very low). Thus, the average critical thinking ability of students as a whole is in the low category with an achievement percentage of 35.2%. Science learning in Indonesia has not succeeded in increasing scientific literacy skills, as indicated by the decreasing international ranking from year to year. One of the efforts made to improve scientific literacy is using Android-based learning media. This study aims to analyze the need for the development of instructional media to improve students' scientific literacy at MTs Al Uswah Bergas Semarang Regency. This type of research is a descriptive study that is to describes the current situation. The data instruments used were interviews, observation, and questionnaires. The results of the research on the analysis of the needs for learning media based on android showed that 38% of the 80 students, namely 30 students agreed to develop Android-based learning media, while 29% of the students showed disagreement, 21% strongly agreed, and 12% strongly disagreed. There are aspects of literacy then students including; literacy as mastery of science as knowledge was 63%, 66% as a way of thinking, 62% of scientific literacy as a way of learning, 62% of the aspects of mastery of the competence of the interaction of science, technology, and society. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the development of Android-based mobile learning media to improve students' scientific literacy

This study aimed to develop an android-based game learning media by applying the steps of the scientific method. Methods: UsingThe development research was adapted the RnD method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The data collection technique was a validation questionnaire of media experts, linguists, materials, teacher, and student responses. Findings: The validation results of media, language, and material experts were 92.00, 92.00, and 96.00%, respectively, with very feasible criteria. Student response questionnaires in the small and large group trials were 96.00, 94.00, and 89.70%, respectively, with very achievable benchmarks. The teacher's response questionnaire also got more than 80.00%, which was very decent. Conclusion: The result application of the 'Curious Scientist' game learning media is interesting for students. Indirectly, students have learned to use the scientific method approach and apply scientific thinking skills utilizing the learning media game' Curious Scientist.’

The research carried out has the aim of developing science microlearning learning media integrated with regional letters that is feasible, practical and effective. The development research (R&D) method was designed using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) model. The small-scale experiment was tested on 9 grade 8 students at SMPN 2 Marioriwawo and the large-scale experiment was implemented in the experimental group (8.2) of SMPN 2 Marioriwawo with 27 students. The research results in this study prove that the science microlearning learning media integrated with Lontara Bugis local wisdom based on Responsive Website Design (RWD) is very suitable for use in science learning. The practicality test based on teacher and student responses has very practical criteria. The effectiveness of the product was tested through an experimental method through a post-test only control group design research design. Hypothesis testing uses an independent sample t-test with significance results (2-tailed) = 0.01 < 0.05, which means that the learning outcomes of experimental class students are higher than the scores of control class students. The resulting responses from experimental class students were in the positive category. So the conclusion of this research is that the learning media products developed are feasible, practical and effective for use as media in the teaching and learning process (PBM).

This research aims to produce an ethnoscience-based e-module that is feasible and effective for increasing junior high school students' scientific creativity. This research method is development research or R&D (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model. The product trial design consists of a small-scale trial on 9 students and a large-scale trial by carrying out experimental research on 29 students. The data collection instruments used were an e-module feasibility analysis scale by experts and a scientific creativity essay test. The data analysis techniques used are percentage of feasibility, N-Gain test, and t test with a significance of <0.05. Based on the research, the results obtained show that the ethnoscience-based e-module on additives and addictive substances is feasible and effective for use and is able to increase students' scientific creativity in the high improvement category. There were differences between trials in class groups that used ethnoscience-based e-modules and class groups without treatment. The conclusion of this research is that the results of the development of an ethnoscience-based e-module regarding additives and addictive substances are able to increase the scientific creativity of junior high school students

The context in science learning needs to be linked contextually and be interdisciplinary so that learning becomes more meaningful. This research aims to analyze the local wisdom of the people of Magelang Regency in making pottery as a science learning resource containing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) on temperature and heat. The subjects of this study were pottery artisans in Kragilan, Donorojo, Mertoyudan, Magelang, Central Java. The research design used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in literature and field studies (interviews and documentation). The data in the research is qualitative, namely the results of interviews and identification of local wisdom in making pottery in Magelang Regency, which can be used as a science learning resource with STEM content. In addition, qualitative data analyses local wisdom in making pottery in science learning resources with STEM content on science material. This research shows that local wisdom in making Magelang pottery, especially roof tiles and braziers, is appropriate to the science learning context. The process of making pottery can be internalized in science learning as a science learning resource containing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) for teaching Temperature and Heat material.

As a result of interviews with class VIII science teachers at SMP Negeri 15 Semarang, information was obtained that most of the teaching materials used in the Archimedes law material were still in the form of printed teaching materials (student worksheet, modules and textbooks), PPTs and learning videos. The available teaching materials are not yet fully electronic, thus preventing students from accessing learning without time and space limitations. This causes students' numeracy and science literacy skills to be low. The aim of this research is to determine the characteristics of STEM-based digital student worksheet, test the feasibility of STEM-based student worksheet, analyze the increase in numeracy and science literacy after using STEM-based digital student worksheet. This research uses research and development methods. This method can be used to develop teaching materials, namely digital student worksheet. The design of the digital student worksheet development research is based on the Thiagarajan 4D model which includes the definition stage, design stage, development stage and dissemination stage. The research results show that this digital student worksheet is designed to be interactive, containing elements such as links, moving images, audio and video which can increase students' numeracy and science literacy; the results of the digital student worksheet feasibility assessment obtained feasible criteria with a result score of 0.85 (media) and 0.84 (material). The results of this research show that there is an increase in the N-Gain value.
