Abstract

Kualitas air, pakan alami berupa phytoplankton dan zooplankton digunakan sebagai indikator kesuburan perairan yang berpengaruh terhadap usaha budidaya. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kuantitas, kualitas phytoplankton dan zooplankton di kolam pasca tambang batubara. Metode penelitian yaitu dengan pengamatan kualitas air secara in situ dan ex situ dilakukan di kolam pasca tambang batubara Loa Bahu. Pengambilan sampel plankton setiap 3 hari sekali selama 10 kali. Sampel plankton di bawa ke laboratorium untuk diidentifikasi jenisnya, dihitung kelimpahannya, indeks keanekaragaman, keseragaman dan dominansi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan menunjukkan bahwa jumlah phytoplankton 3.039–3.379 indv/liter, zooplankton 4508–5146 indv/liter. Phytoplankton didominasi oleh Chlorophycea yang mencerminkan kualitas air bersih. Indeks keanekaragaman plankton 2,718 – 2,684, termasuk kondisi sedang, Keseragaman 0, 8419–0, 8618, termasuk kategori stabil. Hasil analisis kualitas air seperi suhu, oksigen terlarut, pH, NO2, H2S masih layak untuk budidaya, sedangkan untuk NH3 melebihi standar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of astaxanthin that added to rebon flour feed on the color quality and performance of koi fish fry and to determine the appropriate dose of astaxanthin addition to the feed. This experiment used a completely randomized design (CRD), consisted of four treatments and three replications. The treatments was the addition of astaxanthin in the rebon flour feed. Each treatments added astaxanthin 0%, 0.1%, 0.3%, 0.5%. Fish color in each treatment was observed using a modified Tocca Color Finder (TCF) and Adobe Photoshop software. The results of this study indicate that the addition of astaxanthin to the rebon flour feed gave a significantly different effect on to color level based on TCF and red color dimensions (P<0,05). However, there was not a significantly different on to survival rate and growth rate. The results of this study also showed that the addition of 0.1% astaxanthin gave the best color for koi fish fry.

Abstract

Koi fish are a freshwater fish that widespread interest because of the variety of patterns and the color combination. One of the attempt to enhance the quality of color is to add a source of pigment in the food that will help the improving color process in a fish's body. This study aims to determine an optimum dose of increasing combination the Spirulina and carrot flour on the feed towards the brightness levels of color and growth of the Koi fish. The study used Randomized completely design (RCD) that consist four treatments and three repetitions. The combination dosage used in each treatment is P1 (100% rebon shrimp flour), P2 (60% rebon shrimp flour + 5% spirulina + 35% carrot flour), P3 (60% rebon shrimp flour + 10% Spirulina + 30% carrot flour) and P4 (60% rebon shrimp flour + 15% Spirulina + 25% carrot flour). The study is done for 30 days with the frequency of feeding four times a day at 8:00 a.m., 12:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.. Feed is fed on the fish to their fullest (ad-satiation). The study shows that adding spirulina and carrot flour combinations to the rebon shrimp feed has a real impact on changing color levels of TCF (Toca Color Finder), red dimensional changes, growth of the long and the weight of the koi fish (P<0,05) but have no visible effect on the brightness changes in l *a*b* Koi (P > 0,05). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pertumbuhan panjang, berat total, laju pertumbuhan spesifik dan total konsumsi pakan pada ikan kelabau yang diberi pakan dengan kadar lemak berbeda. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan kadar lemak yang berbeda yaitu 6%, 8%,10% dan 12% dalam pakan dan tiga ulangan. Ikan kelabau sebanyak 20 ekor dengan nilai rata-rata panjang 2,4 cm dan berat 2,5 gram dipelihara dalam bak plastik berukuran 54,3 cm X 38 cm X 31,5 cm dengan sistim sirkulasi air semi tertutup, selama 60 hari. Ikan diberi pakan perlakuan sebanyak 2 kali sehari secara at satiation (sampai kenyang). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pakan dengan kadar lemak berbeda tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan panjang dan laju pertumbuhan spesifik (P>0.05) akan tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan berat mutlak dan total konsumsi pakan (P<0.05). Rata-rata nilai pertumbuhan panjang, pertumbuhan berat mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik dan total konsumsi pakan yang terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan B (8%) yaitu berturut-turut sebesar 2,67 cm, 3,04 g, 2,39 %/hari dan 72,47 g
