Abstract

In Indonesia, breast cancer is include second ranks after cervical cancer. BSC (breast self check) is one of the way to detect breast cancer first. In Puskesmas Kemlagi at April 15 2015 majority of 24 respondents (54.2%) did not practice BSC (breast self check), while the purpose of this study is to identify women's attitudes about first detect of breast cancer with BSC practice (check your own breast. This research was an descriptive study, with a population in this study were all women of reproductive age in the age of 15-49 years in Puskesmas Kemlagi Mojokerto which amounted to 926 persons. Samples in this study was part of reproductive age women in the age of 15-49 years in Puskesmas Kemlagi Mojokerto which amounted to 280 persons. The sampling technique with probability sampling techniques with cluster random sampling type. This research was done on June 3 to June 28, 2015. The results from this research were obtained from 280 respondents who have negative attitude about first detect of breast cancer is about 146 respondents (52.1).The conclusion from this research that the reproductive age women’s have negative attitudes about first detect of breast cancer. Because of that it is expected of health workers can provide information about breast cancer and the dangers in order to change women’s attitudes about first detect of breast cancer with BSC practice (check your own breasts).

Abstract

People living along the river must use the river in their daily lives, whether washing, cooking, bathing and drinking. When they use the river water is polluted, there will be adverse effects are felt. The main side effects are accepted by society is a disease. Diseases that occur generally is diarrhea. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of hygienic behavior of healthy communities in the utilization of river water for their daily needs with the incidence of diarrhea.This research used Cross Sectional. Sample of 41 respondents taken by purposive sampling technique. Measurement instruments behavior in the use of the river using a questionnaire, and measurements of diarrhea cases using observation sheets and questionnaires. Analysts data using chi square test. The result showed most respondents do clean and healthy behaviors in the utilization of river water in the bad category as many as 17 respondents (41.5%) and almost all respondents had experienced diarrhea as many as 33 respondents (80.5%).Chi-square test results obtained significance value chi square = 0.011 <0.05 so that H1 accepted which means that there is a relationship of hygienic behavior and healthy communities in the utilization of river water with the incidence of diarrhea.The results showed that the worse the behavior of clean healthy water utilization of rivers, respondents tend to experience diarrhea. But still the respondents who do healthy hygiene practices, utilization of river water pretty well but still has diarrhea can be caused by factors other than environmental factors river water.
