This study aimed to determine the effect of the problem based learning with cognitive conflict strategy towards mastery of concepts and critical thinking skills physics class XIth at SMKN 1 Lingsar academic year 2015/2016. Mastery of concepts measured on the cognitive domain of C1 through C6 (knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, evaluation and creation) and critical thinking skills measured by indicators of critical thinking. Type of research is a quasi-experimental research design pretest-posttest control group design. Sampling using random cluster sampling. Classroom study is a class XI TIÃÂ as an experimental class with 36 people and the number of students in class XI TI 2 as the control class with the number of students 36 people. The data will be analyzed using one way MANOVA.. The results showed that the model of problem-based learning with cognitive conflict strategiy affect the mastery of concepts and critical thinking skills physics class X SMKN 1 Lingsar.

Learning physics is not only produces a good learning outcomes, but requires the understanding, reasoning ability and conceptual understanding to solve the problems. Efforts that can be done to design a good learning is to mapping the ability of the learners. In this research, mapping of preservice physics teacherÃ¢â¬â¢s reasoning ability profile to know the description of the ability of spatial reasoning, logical reasoning and analytical reasoning. This is descriptive research. The population of this study includes all of students of physics education at Mataram University with the number of respondents as many as 125 students from the proportionally selected from each grade. The result of simple descriptive statistic test shows that students have higher spatial reasoning ability compared to logical and analytical reasoning ability as indicated by average score of reasoning ability test. Spatial reasoning skills of prospective teachersÃ¢â¬â¢ are also analyzed on the basis of their indicators. The highest scores is on the ability to complete the pattern and the lowest score is on the relation and logical consistency.

Learning tools are an important part of learning. Innovative learning tools will help lecturers and students achieve the goals in learning. The purpose of this research is to produce an innovative learning tools oriented to the creativity of preservice physics teachers. The type of research is development research, using DDD-E model: decide, design, develop, and evaluate. Instruments used include physics concept test with multiple choice form, essay-type creativity test, activity observation sheet in Likert scale questionnaire. In this study also conducted empirical testing to measure the effectiveness of learning tools which developed to increase student creativity. The results show that the highest creativity improvement of the experimental class on verbal creativity.

This research aimed at measure the effect of cognitive conflict approach on the mastery of physics concept of students. Cognitive conflict is an approach consisting of preliminary, conflict, and settlement phases. This quasi-experimental research uses non-equivalent group design. The population of this research was all XI IPA students of SMAN 6 Mataram in academic year 2017/2018. The sample was chosen using cluster random sampling, with XI IPA 1 as experiment class and XI IPA 2 as control class. The instrument used for concept mastery refers to students cognitive abilities (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6). Hypothesis test using t pooled varians. The improvement of concept mastery is determined based on the results of the n-gain test. The results of research indicate the influence of cognitive conflict approach on the mastery of physics concept of students. In addition, the experimental class experienced an increased mastery concept higher than control class. This suggests the cognitive conflict approach applied successfully improves the mastery of the physics concepts of students, especially on sub material nature of material elasticity, Hooke law, and the arrangement of springs.

This research is aimed to know the influence of Problem-Based Learning Models assisted with Simulation Based Laboratory (SBL) on studentsÃ¢â¬â¢ physics learning outcome in class XI IPA of SMAN 1 Montong Gading academic year 2015/2016. The material used in the research is momentum and impulses. The type of the research is quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The population which is used in this research are the whole students of class XI IPA of SMAN 1 Montong Gading which decided by purposive sampling technique. C lass XI IPA 1 as the experiment class and class XI IPA 2 as the control class. The result of study was analized using t-test polled varians. Based on the research outcome, it can be concluded that Problem-Based Learning Models Assisted with Simulation Based Laboratory (SBL) influenced students` physics learning outcome.

This research aims to develop project-based teaching materials of experimental Physics that can improve the critical thinking skills of prospective teachers. This research includes development of education which is divided into three phases, namely preliminary study phase, product design development phase, and product testing phase. The results showed that the teaching materials that have been developed feasible / well used in learning and meet the validation test by the expert for the contentsÃ¢â¬â¢ feasibility, presentation and language with good category. StudentsÃ¢â¬â¢ response after using the teaching materials is very good to support and complete the teaching materials at the time of lecturing. The teaching materials which tested in experimental Physics II were able to improve students' critical thinking skills from the initial test result with the mean score of 38.1 and the final test result with the mean score of 69.8.

E-learning is learning process through electronic media, especially internet. E-learning enables learners to learn or possess science no matter when and where. The goal of this study was to develop Moodle in problem-based learning in order to improve learnersÃ¢â¬â¢ critical thinking skills. . The study was a research and development (R&D) study conducted in four stages, i.e. preliminary study, developing design, testing Moodle as media for problem-based learning, and result dissemination. Subjects of this study were students of physic education program of Faculty of Mathematics and Science Education of IKIP Mataram who enrolled in Wave course. Data on critical thinking skills is collected through tests, where tests have been validated by experts. The results of the study indicate an increase in students' critical thinking skills. Moreover, students gave positive response towards the use of Moodle developed as media in problem-based learning.

This research aims to determine the increase in mastery ofÃÂ concept through ÃÂ problem based learning model assisted by computer simulations on the material of class XI optical devices in SMAN 8 Mataram. This type of research is quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The research population was all students of class XI MIA SMAN 8 Mataram. Sampel taken using purposive sampling technique. Students of class XI MIA 1 were selected as experimental class and class XI MIA 2 as control class. Hypothesis testing using t test with a significance level of 5% assisted by SPSS 23. Hypothesis testing yielded a significance level of 0.010 for mastery of concepts smaller than 0.05. Based on the provisions, Ho is rejected and it can be concluded that there is an influence of problem based learning models assisted by computer simulations on the mastery of the concepts. This result can be proved by the N-gain test, where there is an increase in mastery of concepts by using a problem based learning model assisted by computer simulations. The highest increase in sub-material for concept mastery data was seen in the reflection devices and lowest sub-material in binocular.

Changes in the learning system during the COVID-19 pandemic require innovation in learning, innovation in the development of video learning media can be a solution, including documentary videos. The documentary video itself is one of the learning media that contains events and phenomena of everyday life that are close to students. Integrating documentary videos with the local content of traditional musical instruments to explain sound wave material can significantly assist students in understanding the material. This study aims to develop a local-based documentary video content of traditional musical instruments on sound waves. This study uses the Research and Development method with a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) developed by Thiagarajan by making documentary videos through the pre-production, production, and post-production processes. The development process started from the draft of the learning video and was revised twice based on suggestions and input from 3 expert validators and 3 practitioner validators then a commentary through suggestions from respondents. Then the documentary video was obtained as the final learning media with a validity percentage of 93% based on expert judgment and 89% based on respondent's assessment. So it can be said that a final documentary video has been produced which is very feasible for use in learning.
