Abstract

Breastfeeding is proven to have long-term health benefits for both mothers and infants. The advancement of mobile technology is very useful in promoting health that can change health behaviors. The success of breast milk is not separated from the methods and media used. The study aimed to develop MIB-Model and to examine the effect of MIB-Model on behavior and self-efficacy of breastfeeding among mothers in providing breast milk. The application development method with the software development Live cycle (SDLC) with the waterfall model. The test model is conducted with Quasi-experiment with pre-test, post-test, and control group design. The number of respondents in this study amounted to 40 0rang, 20 for the experimental group, and 20 for the control group. MIB-Model proved its worth having performed with the ISO 9126 standard and can improve knowledge, attitudes, actions, and the baby's weight to the P-value <0.05. In unpaired data analysis, self-efficacy with P-value> 0.05 showed no differences between the intervention and control, support, and experience of being part of self-efficacy formation. MIB-Model is feasible to be utilized and improved primiparous breastfeeding mothers' behavior and the baby's weight and does not increase the self-efficacy mother

Abstract

Stroke is the main trigger that can cause disability in adults. Stroke patients are known to be vulnerable to oral health problems, such as periodontal disease, due to limitations in their daily activities so that dental and oral hygiene management is neglected. These dental and oral health problems can become worse when patients are treated in a stroke unit. For this reason, dental and oral health care needs to be taken in stroke patients. The study aimed to develop a model of dental and oral health care among stroke patients. Research and Development (R&D), on five research stages, namely: information gathering, product/model design, expert validation and revision, product/model trials (using quasi-experiments with pretest and posttest with control group design). The sample was divided into two groups, the dental and oral health care model in stroke patients in the intervention group and the oral health care model No.284 year 2006 in the control group. Data were tested using normality, paired t-test, post hoc LSD, Mann Whitney, and linear regression. The model of dental and oral health care in stroke patients was relevant as dental and oral health care was shown to be p <0.001. The application of dental and oral health care models in stroke patients effectively improves the skills of gargling in moderate stroke patients p <0.001, increasing the ability to brush teeth in moderate stroke patients p <0.001. The application of dental and oral health care models in stroke patients is useful as an increase in the skills to rinse and brush teeth in moderate stroke patients

Abstract

Background: Dental health problems in the intervention group primary school were dental caries at 81%, persistence at 32%, gingivitis at 35%, and dental health problems in the control group primary school namely dental caries at 86%, persistence at 36%, gingivitis 48%. Dental health problems in elementary school children are caused by low dental health maintenance behavior. The strategy to overcome this problem is by using an "Android-based crossword puzzle education model" providing education to children through the game method so that the learning process is more interesting and fun. Design: This research design uses the Research and Development method Quasi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test control group design. Result: The treatment in the intervention group and control group was given for 21 days. The Android-based crossword puzzle education model according to expert validation is an average of 92% and a p-value of 0.002 (very feasible) and its application is effective as an effort to improve dental health behavior in elementary school children, as well as a different test of crossword puzzle education models android-based effective as an effort to increase knowledge of delta p-value 0.009, attitude delta p-value 0.001, delta p-value 0.001 action, debris index score delta p-value 0.001 compared to the control group. Conclusion: The Android-based crossword puzzle education model is feasible, and its application is effective as an effort to improve dental health behavior in elementary school children compared to the control group Keywords: Elementary school children, behavior, dental health, crossword puzzle educational model
