Abstract

Background: The problem of rational use of drugs in the community, especially among students, still not many know or still lack of knowledge. The careful echo is a joint effort of the government and the community through a series of activities in realizing the awareness, awareness, understanding and community skills in using drugs appropriately and correctly. Purpose: This activity aims as an effort to improve understanding, knowledge and awareness of the community, especially students about the use of appropriate and correct medicines by providing training in the skills to choose and use drugs properly for self-medication so that drug abuse does not occur as a manifestation of the Program of Echoing Careful. Method: The method to be used in increasing knowledge was the Active Learning method (CBIA). This method was an educational model of community empowerment to be more skilled in choosing drugs so that self-medication becomes more effective, safe, and cost-effective. Results: The result of this program was an increase in student understanding of the types of drugs, forms of drug preparation, and independence in choosing, obtaining, using, storing, and destroying / disposing of drugs correctly and appropriately. Conclusion: The Schematic Echoes Program (GeMa CerMat) increased student knowledge about rational use of drugs and self-medication (Swamedikasi) through how to properly manage drugs, use and choose drugs correctly, and or how to see their efficacy and side effects.

Abstract

Background: The corona virus pandemic (COVID-19) is spreading rapidly in a number of countries, including Indonesia. In order to deal with the increasingly widespread COVID-19, the government has established health and safety protocols by staying at home and maintaining distance, washing hands frequently with soap with running water or using hand sanitizers and increasing the body's immune system. One way to increase the immune system is through the use of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA). Purpose: Transfer of knowledge and technology to An Nisaa 'study group partners through counseling on the use of TOGA by using appropriate technology to produce natural Hand Sanitizer products and instant herbal empon-empon in powder form which makes it easier to use daily. Methods: Methods of extension (lectures and discussions), training and mentoring using the Good Traditional Medicine Manufacturing Method (CPOTB) in producing natural Hand Sanitizer products and instant herbal medicine. Results: The expected result of this program is the use of TOGA by the community, especially partners to produce immune system-enhancing herbal products that are safe and can be stored for a long time to maintain health, especially families during the COVID 19 pandemic. Conclusion: This program increased knowledge and the skills of the An Nisaa 'Rungkut recitation group seen from the enthusiasm and ability of the participants in following and practicing the making of herbal medicine and hand sanitizers.

Abstract

Background: Transmission of COVID-19 developed rapidly until the World Health Organization (WHO) established a pandemic status on COVID-19 since March 11, 2020. Various of government efforts in the context of prevention and treatment have been carried out including lockdowns decisision, social distancing and new normal was currently carried out. Objective: This community service activity aims as an effort to increase the knowledge and awareness of South Konawe communities to prevent and fight covid-19 by clean and healthy living behaviors. Method: The implementation of this activity using socialization and persuasive communication online methods via social media instagram and youtube and offline method performed in two categories, small-scale and large-scale at South Konawe. These community service activities are outlined in 4 main programs, GERMAS (Healthy Living Community Movement), GEMAS (Community Movement Using Masks), socialization about TOGA (Family Medicinal Plants), antiseptics and disinfectants. Results: The result of this program is increasing public knowledges about how to improve the immune system, such as consuming nutritious food, consuming herbs which can be processed into an infusion or decocta preparations as well as understand the importance of implementing about prevention of covid-19 in daily life, such wearing masks, antiseptics, and disinfectants and washing hand correctly. Conclusion: This community service activity really helped increase the knowledge and awareness of the community of South Konawe to prevent and fight the corona virus.

Abstract

Background: Until now, the COVID-19 pandemic has become a world health problem, including in Indonesia. To break the chain of transmission of the virus, the immune system and body hygiene must be maintained Objective: The purpose of this campaign is to transferred knowledge and technology to PKK group partners in Kedungsukodani Village regarding the use of eucalyptus leaves to produce natural Hand Sanitizer products and processed telang flowers into instant drinks in the form of powder that can be used daily. Method: The method used is socialization, training and mentoring Results: This activity has been carried out for one day and was attended by 30 participants, at the Kedungsukodani Village Hall in accordance with health protocols in the new normal era by paying attention to 3M. Conclusion: With the implementation of this campaign, participants can practice the knowledge that has been taught in their respective homes. It is hoped that the participants will care and help the process of handling COVID-19.
