Abstract

For the flood control of Semarang City,one of part needed is sedimentation mitigation atthe West Floodway river. This study is carried out to predictdistribution patterns and sediment volumein the West Floodway. The simulation of existing conditions is the first step for determination of sediment transport model. The models will be used to predicting sedimentation until year 2019 and 2024 on the condition without and with sediment mitigation alternatives. Based on the existing condition simulation, the average of elevation increase in 2019 and 2024 respectively are 1,864 m and 2,210 m. The estimation of sediment volume in 2019 and 2024 respectively are 1.053.524 m³ and 1.223.693 m³. The results of sediment transport prediction with sediment pocket showing the lowest average elevation in 2019 and 2024 respectively are 1,379 m and 1,992 m.The smallest volume of sediment obtained by dredging with dredger in 2019 and 2024 respectively are 791.161 m³ and 1.099.685 m³. Based on cost estimation,the cost of dredging with dredger is the lowest, at a cost 32.267.637.478 IDR.Keyword: sedimentation, HEC-RAS, prediction, elevation, volume, cost

Abstract

Massive reduction of onion in Kabupaten Probolinggo was caused by Spodoptera exigua attacks. Since 2012, the significant reduction of onion production was up to 19%. One of the farmers group facing the reduction is Sumber Makmur III with total of reduction is up to 61.69%. The culture technique has done by farmers using conventional lamp and net which have many weaknesses from its implementation. Based on this problem, innovative technology MOAT (Moth Attractor Technology) has created as portable moth attractor. It is the innovative solution using lamp, box and glue completed by RTC (Real Time Clock) and having special glue to intensify the effectiveness and efficiency in exterminating the moths. Following methods have done are (1) literature study and observation, (2) designing product, (3) production, (4) device trials, (5) product’s socialization and implementation, and also (6) monitoring and evaluation. The result is MOAT which can effectively attract up to 770 months in a week. It can help the farmers reduce the damage of onion and increase the production up to 11.07 quintal in 180 m2 area. Furthermore, it can also increase the income of onion farmers.

Abstract

Jajanan telah menjadi bagian dari keseharian masyarakat, termasuk masyarakat di kota Palembang. Jajanan yang dibeli di tempat yang kurang terjamin kebersihannya dapat menyebabkan penyakit saluran pencernaan karna adanya kontaminasi bakteri. Salah satu bakteri yang dapat mengkontaminasi jajanan ialah bakteri Escherichia coli. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat adanya bakteri Escherichia coli pada jajanan yang dijual di lokasi Kambang Iwak Kota palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental yang dilakukan di laboratorium untuk mengidentifikasi bakteri Escherichia coli pada jajanan yang terdapat di Kambang Iwak Kota Palembang. Hasil Penelitian dari 12 sampel ditemukan hasil positif pada 4 sampel menggunakan media LB, kemudian pada media EMBA diperoleh 4 isolat yang positif bakteri dan uji biokimia diketahui pada sampel D1, M1, M2, dan M3 menunjukkan hasil positif. Kesimpulan penelitian mengenai identifikasi bakteri pada jajanan yang dijual di Kambang Iwak Kota Palembang terhadap 12 sampel didapatkan terdapat 4 sampel (D1, M1, M2, dan M3) yang positif bakteri Escherichia coli. Diharapkan bagi masyarakat agar lebih bijak dalam memilih tempat pembelian jajanan dan memperhatikan kebersihan penjual agar terhindar dari bakteri penyebab penyakit saluran pencernaan.

Abstract

Food poisoning often occurs in elementary school children due to the lack of personal and environmental hygiene. According to children tend to choose unhealthy foods because regardless of the physical/chemical properties of food, taste, brand, availability and environment. The environment such as personal hygiene from food vendors is one of the factors that influence food conditions. This study aims to determine whether there is Escherichia coli bacteria on cilok sauce in Junior High Schoolab So1th Indralaya District. The results of the study by identifying Escherichia coli bacteria in cilok sauce, namely the isolation test of bacteria on LB media, obtained 8 out of 10 samples contaminated with bacteria. The EMB test results obtained 3 out of 8 samples that were positive for Escherichia coli. For bacterial tests with biochemical tests, SIM, MR, citrate, 3 positive samples of Escherichia coli bacteria were obtained where there was a color change. Citrate changes from green to blue, SIM is indicated by the formation of a pink indole ring and the MR test changes the solution to a pink color.

Abstract

Staphylococcus aureus is one of the most common bacteria causing infections in the world. One way to treat infections caused by S. aureus is by giving antibiotics. However, recently there have been many reports regarding antibiotic resistance. Efforts that can be made to deal with this resistance are using  natural  antibiotic  ingredients,  for  example  the  skin  of  the  zalacca (Salacca zalacca Reinw). This study aims to determine the difference between ethanol extract and ethyl acetate extract of the skin of zalacca (Salacca zalacca Reinw) against the antibacterial activity of Staphylococcus aureus. Salak fruit peel was extracted by maceration method using two solvents, namely ethanol and  ethyl  acetate.  The  extract  obtained  was  then  tested  for  antibacterial activity. The yield of the ethanol extract of the bark was higher, namely 1.57% compared to the ethyl acetate extract of 0.68%. The ethanol extract of the skin of the zalacca fruit has  higher antibacterial activity than the ethyl  acetate extract against Staphylococcua aureus bacteria.

Abstract

Carbohydrate content in food has nutritional content as the main source of energy that is needed by the body in carrying out metabolism. The purpose of this experiment is to qualitatively analyze the carbohydrate content in various foodstuffs through the Benedict and Lugol tests. The food materials identified were bananas, potatoes, honey, cassava, milk, green beans, corn, apple cider, rice and white bread. The results of the experiment showed that all food ingredients showed positive results for reducing sugar in the Benedict test. While positive results in the Lugol (iodine) test were found in bananas, potatoes, cassava, green beans, corn, and bread. The Benedict test aims to identify the presence of sugars that can reduce aldehyde and ketone groups while the Lugol (iodine) test aims to identify the presence of polysaccharides (complex carbohydrates).

Abstract

Education in the digital era faces very tough challenges, both from character formation to the independence of a student which is still not visible. This research aims to identify educational supervision as an important aspect in achieving the goals of Islamic education. The Qur'an emphasizes the importance of supervision in forming character, improving the quality of education, and preventing mistakes. Therefore, the implementation of educational supervision that is effective and in accordance with the values of the Qur'an needs to be carried out to achieve this goal. The research results show the importance of (1) Periodic Supervision: Carrying out regular supervision to monitor the educational process. (2) Evaluation and Feedback: Provide constructive evaluation and feedback to improve the quality of education. Guidance and Counselling: Providing guidance and counseling to help students overcome difficulties. (3) Collaboration with Parents: Collaborating with parents to ensure harmony between education at school and at home.

Abstract

Vitamin C merupakan mikronutrien yang sangat penting dalam menjaga kesehatan dan daya tahan tubuh. Kulit buah semangka mengandung berbagai vitamin dan mineral yang dibutuhkan oleh tubuh, salah satunya vitamin C. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan kadar vitamin C pada kulit semangka jenis Redin dan Amara menggunakan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Sampel yang digunakan berupa kulit semangka jenis Redin dan Amara. Kandungan vitamin C dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui metode reaksi kimia dan secara kuantitatif menggunakan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis dengan larutan baku berupa asam askorbat. Hasil uji kualitatif menunjukkan adanya kandungan vitamin C pada sampel kulit semangka jenis Redin dan jenis Amara. Untuk pengukuran vitamin C berada di panjang gelombang maksimum 265 nm, dengan kadar vitamin C pada kulit semangka jenis Redin sebesar 14,1 mg/100g dan jenis Amara sebesar 13,8 mg/100g. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik melalui uji-t dua sampel diperoleh tidak ada signifikansi perbedaan dengan nilai p sebesar 0,857 (p > 0,05) antara kandungan vitamin C pada kulit semangka jenis Redin dan Amara pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kulit semangka jenis Redin memiliki kandungan vitamin C yang lebih besar dibandingkan kulit semangka jenis Amara.

Abstract

Daun Salam (Syzygium polyanthum (wight) Walp).Merupakan salah satu tanaman yang mengandung senyawa antioksidan yaitu flavonoid yang dapat mencegah atau mengurangi radikal bebas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan dan mengevaluasi sediaan masker peel off ekstrak daun salam (Syzygium polyanthum. Masker peel-offdiformulasi dalam 4 formula dengan perbedaan konsentrasi ekstrak daun salam yaitu dengan F0 0%, F1 2%, F2 2,5%,F3 4%. Evaluasi yang dilakukan adalah uji organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, Stabilitas, dan uji iritasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sediaan masker peel-off F0,F1,F2, dan F3. Ketiga formula sediaan memiliki fisik yang baik ditandai dengan tidak adanya pengendapan, kekeruhan dan nilai pH yang baik untuk kriteria sediaan. Untuk selanjutnya dilakukan uji iritasi dan didapatkan hasil uji yang tidak mengiritasi dan stabil pada penyimpanan selama 14 hari. Formula 3 dengan konsentrasi 4% ekstrak adalah formula terbaik
